Location
About the surrounding area of Casa BleoCasa Bleo can be found in Pollensa, a region that embodies a true sense of tranquillity and fascination. Puig de Maria is an alluring religious landmark that is located just under 10-minutes away from the town centre. At the top of a 330-metre summit sits a small monastery that is packed full of history. This monastery was first built in the 14th century and was originally viewed as an impeccable shrine to the Virgin Mary. Despite its far-reaching history, the monastery was closed in 1564 and did not reopen until 1638. Nowadays, guests can travel inside of the monument and observe a varied range of artefacts and fixtures relating to Pollen’s rich history. Many previous guests have also claimed that it only takes around 30-minutes to climb to the top of the hill, meaning that is a pretty accessible hike for a majority of tourists.
If you are looking to unlock more information about Pollensa’s historical legacy, Placa de l’Almonia is a perfect place to visit. This quaint square is located just a stone’s throw away from the town centre and expresses the true nature of this region. Within this square resides a small house that was once used to protect the poorest citizens of the area. The house was run by wealthy university students who used their own funds to provide key essentials for the local peasants. Furthermore, the square once hosted a mighty battle between the citizens of Pollensa and violent attackers who decided to ambush the town. As such, the modern-day citizens hold a moving ceremony to celebrate the bravery of these people every August.
This region is also filled with many intoxicating cultures and customs, with the Pollensa Market located just a short walk away from the town centre. With over 300 stalls to explore, guests are encouraged to meander through the vendors and observe a wide range of artisan items. Here they can purchase a range of handmade clothes, bags, and jewellery, giving them a chance to experience the authentic nature of this town. There is even a section dedicated to fresh produce, allowing tourists to taste the array of delicacies showcased throughout this area. Pollensa Market is open every Wednesday from 8 am to 1:30 pm.

THE REGION
Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.
The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesPollensa is seen as an ideal place for families due to the large number of alluring tourist attractions found close by. If you are looking to discover this region’s idyllic horticulture, a trip to Joan March Gardens is a real treat. These gardens were first formed in the late 1980s as a way to celebrate the work of the eldest son of the March family. Previous generations have praised the March family for their intuitive business ventures that helped Pollensa see a prosperous economic boom. This landmark is lined with an array of delightful trees and plants, such as rare species of olive trees and slender cypress trees, which are often seen on the town’s traditional coat of arms. Joan March Gardens are just under 10 minutes away from the town centre of Pollensa and are open 24 hours a day. In turn, this is a very accessible attraction for those staying at Casa Bleo.
Formentor Lighthouse is a deeply significant monument within the region and can be found just under an hour away from the town centre. This lighthouse was first constructed in 1863 and was used to guide delicate fishing boats away from the jagged rocks that are often found at the base of the shore. In the 21st century, Formentor Lighthouse still holds the same purpose and is known to protect the citizens of this small town. Many literary icons have also regarded this monument as a key inspiration for their works, such as Gerardo Diego and Blas de Otero. Guests can also experience an assortment of panoramic views by taking the short 30-minute drive toward the 210-metre peak.
Pollensa Museum can be found just a short walk away from the town centre and is an ideal place to visit if you are looking to discover more about the nuances of the European art scene. Despite being built in the 16th century, this establishment did not open its doors to the public until 1975. During its long history, this museum was used to store a plethora of ornate Gothic altarpieces. These items gained a sense of worldly acclaim and were even praised at the Summer Exhibition of Painting during the 1960s. For guests visiting in the modern day, they have the privilege of seeing the works of Attilio Boveri as well as a collection of Buddhist mandalas. Pollensa Museum is open Monday-Friday from 10 am till 2 pm and can be entered free of charge.

Super great holiday
The service was excellent, we were supported quickly and competently, very friendly mail correspondence. The accommodation was well equipped and the handling was explained in an uncomplicated way. I can recommend the finca and its service at any time. If we fly to Mallorca again, you will be the first place we look. Many thanks

Beautiful autumn in Pollenca
We were already for the 2nd time in Casa Bleo and again very satisfied. The house is situated in a beautiful and quiet area, not too far from the beach. At least at the beginning of our holiday we could still enjoy the pool and the sea, even though our first destination were the mountains of the Tramuntana.
The house was big enough for our group, has a very nice kitchen and offers enough comfort to relax even when it rains occasionally. We were also very pleased with the unproblematic handover of keys and the access description. -
Summer sojourn in Pollença
We loved the staying at Casa Bleo. Other than the mozzies (no fault of yours), it was a lovely and private property with breathtaking views and lovely surroundings (pool, garden, orchard, etc). Lovely figs for breakfast. A well-equipped kitchen, and the aircon was greatly appreciated at nighttime.
We are seriously considering returning in 2020.
Thank you -

Really happy with the villa and service provided
I was happy booking with Olivers Travels because I felt confident if I had a problem that the company would do their best to find an appropriate solution - i.e. if I found the property too cold they would get the owner to bring in a heater, if I needed something to hang clothes to dry on, it was there when I arrived. Vanessa, the on-site contact was really helpful and nice. At short notice I was particularly happy with the very reasonable price with dates that suited my needs.
Don't miss out! Reserve now and get a full refund if you change your mind within 48hrs.
