Can Allium, a fantastic villa in Mallorca, is the ideal Mediterranean holiday for families. Swim in a large pool surrounded by lush trees, then freshen up in an outdoor shower room. The elegant terrace has covered BBQ and dining areas for al fresco meals, and the well-kept garden includes many sitting areas for reading or snoozing.
Furnished in the Mallorcan style, the villa’s interior features beautiful pine beams. Both the dining room/American-style kitchen and the lounge room with plasma TV have doors to the terrace.
Each floor has a bedroom and bathroom, one with hydromassage shower, and the top floor bedroom opens up to a patio with fantastic mountain views.
The Balearic Islands are known for scenic landscapes and beaches, and you’re only 15 minutes from the sandy beach at Puerto Pollensa. Nearby, Pollensa has weekly markets in the Placa Major and plenty of restaurants, including outstanding tapas at Manzanas y Peras.
Fitness enthusiasts will love the water sports, coastal walks and cycling of the region. Try the Calvari, a 365-step climb up through cypresses to a hilltop chapel.
On a quiet country lane near Pollensa, this luxury Spanish island villa is 60 km from the Palma de Mallorca airport.

Location
About the surrounding area of Can AlliumThe property is situated off a quiet but conveniently-placed country lane, a few minutes drive from Pollensa and the beaches of Cala San Vicente and Puerto Pollensa.
Pollença is an attractive town in north east Mallorca, in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. With beautiful architecture to appreciate, such as the Calvari steps, the town is rich in history. Among its highlights are the ‘Pont Romà’, an ancient Roman bridge, the Mare de Deu dels Angels church with its famous rose window, and the Convent de Sant Domingo.
The neighbouring port, Puerto de Pollença, lies to the north and has one of the area’s best beaches, with numerous bars and restaurants to explore in the vicinity. Puerto de Pollença also offers water-sports, a water park for children, and a golf course can also be found just outside the town.
Also to the north of Pollença is Cala Sant Vicenc, one of Mallorca’s smaller resorts, and home to three beaches: Cala Molins, Cala Barques and Cala Clara. The landscape is dramatic and hilly, with rugged cliffs and rocks, and its popularity with visitors has seen it develop some excellent restaurants, tapas bars and useful amenities.
Further down the coast, Alcúdia has a large marina, serving as a boarding point for boat trips to Menorca and the Spanish mainland. The town is considered one of the most attractive in the area, so don’t miss out on seeing its historic centre, visiting the open-air market or seeing Spain’s smallest Roman amphitheatre.
Many beautiful places can be found in the areas further inland, such as the Natural Park S’Albufera, the largest of its kind in the Balearics. Pollença is easily accessible, with Palma de Mallorca Airport around 60km away.

THE REGION
Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.
The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.

The villa is a lovely place for kids to hang out - teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the pool. The outdoors area all good to run around and play, will ensure many fun evenings!
The house is a beautiful family retreat in a quiet location but close to so many fun things to do together as a family, from exploring beaches to having dinner in the old town of Pollensa.
The local area is ideal for those who want to get a bit more active, with invigorating coastal walks and cycling terrain that even the pros are challenged by. The island is excellent for horse-riding and water-sports, and for beach life, it’s pretty unbeatable too, with the golden sands of Port de Pollença and Cala Sant Vicenç well worth seeking out.

Can Allium
We had a great family holiday at Can Allium. It is very comfortable and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed using the bbq area with the outside kitchen and our two children adored the large, deep swimming pool. It is perfectly placed to visit Pollenca and Alcudia, both beautiful towns.
