In turn, guests can use this seating arrangement to relax after a busy day of exploring the idyllic grounds. Plus, this seating area can easily transform into a sofa bed, accommodating another adult or a small child. Es Raco d’Arta is a resort like none others focusing on the wellness and relaxation of every single guest. This resort is made up of a collection of properties that have been standing since the 13th century, exemplifying its archaic and traditional nature. During the 1960s, Mallorca was experiencing an exponential boom in its tourism industry, which inspired artists Antoni Esteva and Jaume Danus to completely renovate the area. Therefore, the resort still captures the past life of these properties whilst maintaining a modern approach. Es Raco d’Arta also uses a range of eco-friendly practices, such as recyclable energy and toiletries, to help keep the resort as sustainable as possible. Therefore, this resort prides itself on its dedication to conservation and protecting the land for the next generation.

THE REGION
The traditional town of Artá sits in the middle of a large valley at the foot of a small mountain in the northeast of Mallorca. The town rigorously clings to its heritage, making few concessions for tourism. The parish church, Transfiguracio del Senyor, dominates the largely pedestrianised centre and skyline of Artá.
Artá’s biggest attractions relate to the cultural heritage of the area. The most popular is undoubtedly the Sanctuary de Sant Salvador and the fortified battlements that surround it.
There are beaches within a short hike of town, and many who brave the walk say it’s just as beautiful as the beach itself. You are also within easy reach of the many attractions the northeast of the island has to offer, such as the Coves del Drac.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesEs Raco d’Arta provides a collection of activities that are suitable for children, allowing the little ones to find their inner zen. During select parts of the year, the resort offers a unique art workshop to help guests get their creative juices flowing. The classes take inspiration from a plethora of artists and designers, such as Hiroshi Kitamura. This artist uses entirely natural products such as paper, branches, and stones to craft an assortment of truly beautiful pieces. Guests who partake in this activity are enraged to use the same approach, collecting supplies from Mother Nature and transforming them into sensational pieces of art. Although this may not be suitable for very young children, it can give older children a chance to express themselves creatively and offer them something to remember about their trip.
For music lovers, a collection of concerts also occur throughout the year. In the summer months, Es Raco d’Arta welcomes a selection of acclaimed and talented musicians to perform for the residents. The concerts are made up of a range of local talents, giving guests a chance to experience the artistic nature of this area. The pianists and violinists are known for performing an array of classical pieces, all of which add a sense of atmosphere and inspiration to the resort. In order to experience the concert, guests must purchase one of three packages. The second and third packages also provide a complimentary meal, and the latter also includes an expressive yoga class after the concert.
If you are travelling with older children or teenagers, a Wim Hof Method Workshop is an ideal way to experience new things as a family. The Wim Hof Method is a very popular mindfulness practice that allows guests to control their breathing and attention whilst sitting in a refreshing ice bath. This practice has built up a wide amount of attention from celebrities and other mindfulness teachers, who praise its effectiveness and simplicity. The workshop will be led by a trained instructor who will also offer a space for reflection once the practice is finished. If the ice bath sounds too intimidating, guests are free to avoid that step and just focus on breathing techniques.
