Villa Almunecar stands tall and beautiful with classic white walls and a terracotta roof, warmly decorated outside with plants and other greenery. Looking beyond the property edge, you will be stunned by the beauty of the vast blue ocean that feels as though it is just below you. Inside, you will find all the comforts of home, with the added benefit of the warm Spanish sun.
Villa Almunecar is an excellent option for a wonderful holiday in the Costa Tropical with the family. Although a two-floor property, guests only have access to the ground floor. Here, guests benefit from 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 guests, two showers, and direct access to the pool area. Please note that guests will not have access to the top floor of this property, but it will remain unoccupied during the stay. Please enquire for more information.
The living area is cosy and relaxing, with comfortable sofas and access to the exterior. It includes a TV in front of the sofa for you to enjoy and included Wi-Fi so that you can catch up with life back home. The large windows let in lots of natural light, and a large mirror above the fireplace makes the rooms feel spacious.
The villa has a well-equipped kitchen where you can whip up any meals you desire during your stay. Make use of the toaster and microwave or the oven and electric hob to make your meals and enjoy them with a glass of local wine. Consider also enjoying dinner al fresco on the outdoor dining table. Here you can take in the incredible view of the ocean through the archways whilst remaining cool under the covering. Perhaps even cook the meal outside, grilling fresh fish and vegetables in the outdoor kitchen.
Outside is the wonderful and breathtaking back garden and view beyond. The private pool, with its stepped entry, is a welcomed treat for every guest at Villa Almuñecar. The cool water is a welcomed treat to anyone needing a break from the warming sun. Lay back on the sun loungers and take in the beautiful blues of the ocean view before you.
The town of Almuñecar, from which the villa gets its name, is known for its incredible beaches, nature, and historical sites. There are a wide range of restaurants, bars, and activities on offer for visitors of all ages to take part in and memories to be formed. About the surrounding area of Villa AlmunecarIn a location providing spectacular ocean views, Villa Almuñecar is perfectly situated to be your base of operations during your stay in Costa Tropical. The region as a whole is a wonderful destination for holidaymakers, as the local people are just as warm and welcoming as the Spanish sun is.
Villa Almuñecar is situated in a residential area of the town, allowing for a restful night’s sleep to recharge for the new day. That being said, the villa is still close to the town centre of Almuñecar. Here you will find everything you could need and more to complement your stay in Costa Tropical.
The restaurants in town and the wider area serve a whole range of food, including traditional dishes as well as familiar favourites, so there is always something for everyone to eat. There are a number of supermarkets in this area also, with the closest being just a 10-minute walk from the villa itself.
It would be a disservice to talk about Costa Tropical without highlighting its many beautiful beaches, and Almuñecar itself is known for them! In particular, the beaches of Velilla, San Cristobal and Del Mar are highlights and should definitely be on your list to visit! Most of these beaches not only benefit from the wonderfully warm sand and glistening turquoise water but also promenades where you can stroll along and stop for a snack or ice cream to complement a day at the beach.
Castillo de San Miguel is a must-see for not just history buffs but everyone visiting Costa Tropical. Dating back to the 1st century BCE, it is a small castle that stands tall on a high hill. Make a day of exploring its ancient walls and taking in the panoramic views it provides, then browse the museum it houses and learn some history. In the town, visit the Cave of the Seven Palaces, an archaeological museum home to a number of old artefacts and bursting with history.
A bit further afield in Costa Tropical, you will find a number of beautiful natural areas to discover and so many different hiking areas and walking paths available for you to explore during your stay. One such route is along the Maro Cerro Gordo cliffs, a nature reserve home to a great area of flora and fauna. Take a day to explore it, and perhaps even pack a picnic to stop and enjoy along the way as you overlook the ocean below.

Inside, the villa is proud to have three well-sized bedrooms that are perfect for families. The main bedroom and king-sized bed can be claimed by the parents, still leaving a double bedroom and twin bedroom for the rest of the family! Two bathrooms mean shorter queue times in the mornings, and also, kids can have a whole bathroom to themselves.
The large sectional sofa in the living area is perfect for kids to sprawl out on in downtime, and keeping them entertained between activities isn’t hard with the TV that’s included. Play a card game on the coffee table or let them connect to the Wi-Fi and catch up with their friends and life back home.
Stepping outside to see the glistening private pool will be sure to evoke huge smiles from kids of all ages. Strong swimmers can glide through the water to get welcome relief from the warm sun, and those less confident or too young will still appreciate the splashy fun it provides. Dry off on the sun loungers or simply enjoy the well-decorated outside area while you play with little ones.
Leaving the villa is no problem with kids either, as Almuñecar is perfectly equipped for families. The local restaurants in town are more than welcoming to families, and they serve a range of dishes. Anyone wanting to experience new flavours will be spoilt for choice, but little ones and picky eaters wanting to stick to what they know have a number of familiar favourites too. The number of supermarkets in town will come in handy too, as you can stock up on snacks and cereal, so everyone remains full and happy.
Of course, the stunning local beaches that Almuñecar is known for will be loved by kids of all ages, with the clear water and warm sun enough to put a smile on anyone’s face. The beautiful beaches aren’t all Costa Tropical has to offer, though, as kids will be sure to enjoy the grand feeling of being inside the ancient castle of Castillo de San Miguel.
