This villa is the epitome of rustic elegance, from the traditional features all around the garden, to the layered whitewashed exteriors and charming living space. Casa Faloto has incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea that stretches all the way to the African coast. The villa is surrounded by lush green forestry and has its own private garden filled with flowers, trees and plants.
On the terrace, guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the spacious turquoise pool. There are sun loungers for guest use and an eye-catching sculpture in the style of a Roman goddess. The terrace is bordered by a heritage-style white balcony. Just beyond this area is an outdoor kitchen with beautiful brickwork, a barbecue and a large dining table where guests can enjoy a sunset drink.
Open the French doors to step into the airy living space, open plan and carefully designed to create a homely atmosphere. There is a soft grey corner sofa, a colourful Turkish style rug on the floor and antique-style wooden furniture. A satellite television is found here, perfect for downtime. Enjoy the panoramic views through the large picture-style window.
Just beyond this, guests will find a modern kitchen, well-equipped for self-caterers. Sleek blue-grey appliances and an American fridge contrast with the white kitchen island. There is an indoor dining area with unique chairs that feature a red mosaic style design on the back and chandelier-style lighting. The glossy table is large enough for eight guests - the maximum recommended capacity at this villa.
There are four bedrooms at this villa - two with double beds and two with twins. Contrasting with the living space, the bedrooms are fresh and modern and decorated mostly in white and grey. Exposed beams on the ceiling add a stylish touch. The master bedroom has an its own private terrace, perfect to soak up the dreamy atmosphere.
Bathrooms are a mixture of traditional terracotta tiles or industrial-style, gleaming white with brickwork. Some have glass-encased showers and others also have a bathtub, where guests can enjoy a relaxing soak.

- Three of the bedrooms are on the ground level of the villa, so this would suit guests who struggle with stairs
- Children should be careful on the metal steps of the pool, which can get slippery when wet

About the surrounding area of Casa FalotoNestled in a tranquil spot, walking distance to the village of Mijas, this villa is in a fantastic location on the Costa del Sol. Mijas is made up of whitewashed houses that cascade down a mountainside, with superb views of the Mediterranean Sea. The puebla has plenty to see and do, including horse carriage rides and a flamenco show on Wednesday afternoons. There are also many golf courses and a tennis club within a short drive.
Don Carlos tennis club pride themselves on having the best clay courts in the Costa del Sol. There are Rebound Ace courts ideal for seasoned players and a multisports court for playing football and basketball. The club is part of a resort surrounded by beautiful countryside.
For golf lovers, try Mijas Golf, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr and boasts two courses - Lagos and Olivos. These 18-hole masterpieces have superb views of the surrounding countryside. Another great choice is the Cerrados del Aguila golf resort, part of the Golf Valley of Mijas. Small yet perfectly formed, this golf course excels in 9-hole courses and has a restaurant on site. There are beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea from most of its courses.
The villa is only a 10 minute drive from the spectacular beach area of Fuengirola. This beach has 7km of soft golden shoreline, with separate areas for watersports and bathing. Stretching from Sohail castle to Torreblanco, Fuengirola beach is family-friendly and has plenty of chiringuitos - cafes on the sand - many of which serve fresh seafood. You can go wakeboarding, water-skiing, tubing and parasailing at this beach - ideal for adrenaline lovers! Additionally, Fuengirola has great nightlife and an array of trendy boutiques.
Take a trip to nearby Marbella, where you can explore the lovely Old Town. Often overlooked by tourists visiting Andalucia, this town has something for everyone. Discover interesting architecture, a plethora of art galleries and bars and restaurants galore. Explore the Orange Square, a picturesque Andalucian plaza filled with orange trees and plants. Visitors can watch the world go by from a heritage cafe with a glass of wine in hand.
In this area, guests can also see St Mary's Church, with its beautiful baroque red stone entrance. Fans of Dali will love Avenida del Mar in central Marbella. Admire sculptures by Dali all along the boardwalk, or relax on one of the many benches lining the walkway.

Whether they're looking forward to beach days or adrenaline-based adventures, they're bound to have an fabulous time. The villa is a peaceful and inspiring space for kids - they'll love the swimming pool and the gorgeous views.
Parque Acuatigo Mijas is the ultimate water park, with five water slides, a wave pool and a daring kamikaze ride. While kids are exploring the multitude of activities, parents can take some time to relax in the tropical sunshade area. There's also mini golf for kids and plenty of live entertainment for everyone.
There's no shortage of family-friendly beaches on the Costa del Sol. Kids can get involved in excellent watersports at Fuengirola beach. The whole family can try parasailing and the watersports area is separated from the bathing part, keeping everything safe for swimmers.
San Pedro Alcántara is a fantastic adventure playground, which has three courses of varying skill levels. Kids can fly through the trees on a zip line or go rollerblading and biking on the trails. There are breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea from here. For little ones, there are a series of paddling pools for them to enjoy.
Bioparc Fuengirola is a great ethical zoo that kids will adore. Over 200 animal species live here within spacious enclosures, cared for by passionate experts. The animals here include Sumatran tigers, Pygmy hippos, gorillas and orangutangs. They come from diverse areas of the world like Southeast Asia, Madagascar, Equatorial Africa and the Indo-Pacific. There's a simulated tropical forest setting and a focus on natural habitats for the animals.
Marbella has plenty to offer kids - strolling around the Old Town will definitely keep them busy for a while! Some quirky activities are on offer for kids here, like the Kids Spa, which is a wellness, beauty and craft hub. Crafty kids can take part in t-shirt making classes, try out modelling and even get a manicure or a massage in the spa area. There are also cookery classes for kids from six upwards at The Food Room - it will be such a memorable (and tasty!) learning experience for children.
