Tucked in the leafy suburbs of Artola Baja in East Marbella, Villa Artola is supremely stylish and spacious with a unique design, ready to welcome up to six lucky guests!

Cross the threshold of this elegant entrance and marvel at the delightful world within. Your kitchen is a fantastic welcome to the property, where marble counters dazzle against the shiny modern appliances. An island doubles up as a breakfast bar for casual snacking, while there’s a magnificent dining table right alongside it for more formal meal times.

Stretching along the main wall is a huge set of floor-to-ceiling patio doors that will deliver you out into this fabulous garden – where you’ll find a fantastic alfresco dining area. Your lounge is magnificently cosy, with two plush sofas set up in front of the large TV, and there’s even an office space if you need to get a little work done.

There are three dazzling bedrooms promising you plenty of choice and in each of your incredible bedrooms, vibrant colours burst from the fabulous feature walls – filling each room with a warm sense of life. There are two sublime double rooms, each with tons of space and a welcoming vibe,  and finally, a smaller room with a set of bunk beds and a sofa.

All three have ensuite facilities. Each of the accompanying bathrooms has an elegant, charming design and a mixture of walk-in showers and bathtubs promise the perfect energising experience. Head out from the master bedroom onto your incredible balcony overlooking the pool terrace for a perfect spot for a morning coffee.

And finally, retreat to your exquisite garden, when enchanting seating areas and alfresco dining are perched alongside one another and even a fantastic firepit. And of course, right at its heart is your private pool! Around the pool you’ll find loungers, sofa pods and casual seating, with something for every occasion. With views that stretch almost as far as the sea, this is a memorable spot for any occasion!

Villa Artola couldn’t be better placed for a holiday of variety! Firstly, you’re just a stone’s throw from the white, sandy beaches of Marbella, while its Old Town is around 10 minutes away.

The stunning coast nearby is the Mijas Costa, a stretch of roughly 12km of picturesque beaches leading into verdant pine forests and striking hillsides of white houses. It includes La Cala de Mijas which is the main beach resort, the two smaller resorts of Riviera del Sol and Calahonda, the thriving city of Fuengirola, and finally Las Lagunas, the more industrial and most populated area of Mijas.

The area caters incredibly well to tourists, as it has been beautifully developed and redeveloped for nearly 60 years, whilst maintaining its traditional Andalusian charm. Growing organically from a quaint fishing village, it has undergone a fascinating transformation. Venture each Wednesday and Saturday to its popular market where you can find local produce including fruit and veg, crafts, clothes, ceramics and a whole lot more!

Marbella itself is a little bigger and busier, with a traditional and beautiful old town, and holds many Michelin starred restaurants and world-renowned beaches where one can soak up the sun and enjoy a cocktail at a beachfront bar! It has a very rich history, visible in the many ruins throughout the winding cobbled streets of its Old Town. Also nearby is Malaga, the largest city on the Costa del Sol and historically and culturally incredibly rich, putting even more activities and amenities at your fingertips.

The Costa del Sol itself is mostly peaceful and quiet, as although there is a good amount of tourism, largely for the fantastic beaches and warm climate (the average water temperature year-round is 18°C!), visitors tend to stick to the highly developed and bustling south-western part, leaving the stunning mountains inland largely untouched and peaceful year-round.

The neatly terraced garden and beautiful heated pool offer a lot of variety in places to lounge, play or plunge for the little ones, all while in close proximity to the house. An additional bonus is the sandy backyard with palm trees perfect for running around, putting up tipi’s and playing games.

All along the magical Costa del Sol you’ll find memorable activities for the whole family, including kayaking, dolphin watching, kite-surfing, parasailing, snorkelling, windsurfing and loads more. Just a short drive away, near to Fuengirola, you’ll find both the Costa Water Park and the Mijas Aquapark, great for a day out!

How long have you owned the property?

I fell in love with the area and bought the building plot 3 years ago. It took about a year to prepare and another 1,5 years to complete building this brand-new Carbon Zero villa. 

What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?

  • Location, location location – 10 min by foot from the local picturesque beach and a short drive from all the wonderful beachclubs of East Marbella such as Nikki Beach, Casanis La Plage, Sirokko and Trocadero. Some great restaurants and a supermarket are literally on our doorstep and the airport of Malaga is only 25 minutes away.
  • Newbuilt villa decorated with impeccable taste – this property was conceived and built fully to my taste, taking into account the latest innovations in green energy and comfort, but also decorated by a professional designer to make it aesthetic and cosy. 

Do you have a favourite room in the property?

Outdoor areas are the best, Marbella is all about outdoor living. If we stay indoor on a cool evening, it is great to sit in front of the fireplace.

Take a scenic walk on the renown boardwalk through dunes of Artola nature reserve to Cabopino harbour (total walk of 30-40 min from the villa to Cabopino beach and harbour)

Visit one of many beach clubs & restaurants of east Marbella such as Nikki Beach, Sirokko, Casanis La Plage, Trocadero.
