Villa CP is an extraordinary villa, perfect to grant tranquillity, awe and proximity to things to do and explore. Unwind in this luxurious and spacious farmhouse, completely renovated to highlight both rustic and contemporary elements in this modern and sustainable family home for up to ten guests. Perched on top of a mountainside, you have some of the greatest vistas you may ever see in all of Europe.
Whilst outdoors reflects countryside lodgings, entering the villa you will find that the home sits like a modern masterpiece. The walls and areas have been decorated with the finest furniture and art pieces to add character and colour to what are neutral and dark tones. In the living area, as well as televisions to watch flicks, a fancy fireplace will help make the nights more tender. This home comes with everything you need to enjoy a fully catered stay, including a clean-lined kitchen, perfectly set with everything you need to whip up amazing dishes. You can enjoy food with constant panoramic views, as the Barcelona designer of this property has ensured that windows and outdoor areas face the hills and valleys of the area.
Villa CP features a main house, where eight guests can sleep across four bedrooms. Three rooms host double-beds and one houses twin singles, so there's no need to fuss over sleeping arrangements and there's even a separate lodging on the estate, so you can bring over an additional two more guests. The casita has been set with a bathroom, a private kitchen and another living room and a bedroom with another double bed.
Outdoors, you will understand the essence of this property. Granting panoramic views of the hills, valleys and mountains of Girona, you will be captivated and mesmerised every moment you spend out here. You can enjoy views on outdoor seating on the terrace, or while you dine alfresco, as the kitchen area and dining table opens up to the terrace. When it gets hot, or you feel to take it easy, head into the infinity-edged pool, natural and without chlorine or salt!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CPCatalonia extending across the north-east of Spain is abundant with beaches and bays and sublime coastal nooks and crannies to uncover. Large towns such as Badalona and La Bisbal d'Empordà will offer you tonnes to keep you busy whilst smaller charming and quaint villages such as Santa Pellaia and Llafranc, offer a spectrum of buzzing and mellow settings!
From the villa, it is clear to see the sheer beauty at your disposal. The landscape is coated with towering mountains, covered in sheets of emerald green fauna. Your first activity, naturally, should be a hike or mountain biking of the exquisite peaks that cover the two Natural Parks that the villa is located between.
Girona, synonymous with antiquity and romantic architecture, lies just thirty-minutes from the villa and you will not be disappointed with a day out in the glorious town. Explore the Persian touch to the region in the historic Arab Baths or the Roman influence at the Catholic cathedral, constructed in Romanesque & Gothic styles, with a record-breaking 22-metre wide Gothic nave. The city is also home to the regions largest urban park, Devesa, a wonderful green oasis in the heart of the city which lies just of the River Ter, which itself, offers more picturesque walking and hiking routes.
Stretching along the coast to the east of the villa, guests have several towns to explore, meaning you have even more places to add to your to-visit list!, Head to Arenys de Mar to wander through narrow streets and past historic buildings before retiring to the lovely harbour for a decadent tapas meal and wine with views across the vast sea!
Your location puts you in a unique and perfect base to visit the entirety of the north-eastern coast of Catalonia, the Costa Brava. There are more beaches than we could fit into a book to choose from, and the coast lies about half an hour away. Choose from both sandy and pebbly expanses, or small coves and bays for a more intimate beach setting. You'll be pleased to know there's an array of ways to explore the seas, from scuba-diving to jet-skiing, kayaking and even paragliding over the deep blue ocean!

The villa also offers ping-pong and football tables to play a game or two and even bicycles for your use!
Begur Castle will enchant children. Built in the 11th Century it was sold to the town in 1607, allowing families to visit it in the present-day. The castle has had restoration work and additional construction to preserve the incredible historic site as well as offer access for wheelchairs and those with mobility issues.
Before you head out to the beach, or if you're looking for an alternative to the beach yet still want some water, stop off at Aquadiver, in Platja d'Aro. Here families can have a wet and wild time, zooming, twisting and rushing down slides and amusements in this awesome water-park. Suitable for all ages, kids and adults will love the wave pools, rapid rivers and kamikaze rides and you don't have to worry about services as the park offers restaurants and bars, lockers, lounge, picnic and club areas as well as offering free bus transport!

Villa CP has an organic vegetable garden and fruit trees which will give you something ripe to eat depending on the season. Which could be fabulous tomatoes in the summer or peaches, nectarines, oranges, even avocados!

Feels like Paradise
The modern yet authentic house is beautifully designed and decorated, with large gardens all around. It is situated on a hill in the forest, with a breathtaking view on the mountains and all towards the sea. The house has lots of space and all rooms have a special design. The large kitchen/dining area is very well equipped and has a beautiful view on the large infinity pool. A morning swim in this pool was a perfect start of the day! Both Girona and the beaches on the Costa Brava are well reachable by car. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Stunning in every way!
We had a wonderful time at Villa CP. Everything was really great, the location, the facilities, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, the wonderful pool and the view. Simply stunning. The support from Guy was also excellent. There was an answer within a very short time and everything was always solved quickly. We stayed with our adult children and their partners. It is big enough for everyone to have their privacy, but at the same time you can do a lot together. It's not far to the sea, nor to Girona. We should have shopped more often in the market hall in Girona. The selection is simply fantastic. Many thanks for the hospitality

Breathtaking Views
We had a wonderful stay at Villa CP. Guy is an incredibly welcoming and responsive host. The villa is beautifully designed and the views are breathtaking! It is evident that a lot of love and care has been put into the property. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and we loved being able to step out the front door and walk along the trails through the forest. It was a privilege to stay here and we hope to return one day!

Incredible Property
We stayed at Villa CP with our daughter, grown sons and their girlfriends as a place to gather - coming together from France and Canada. The property is spectacular, with some of the most beautiful sunrises viewed directly from the bedrooms. The orange trees laden with fruit were an especially tasty winter bonus. Some of the best oranges we’ve ever had. The kitchen is very well equipped (we cook a lot and it had everything we needed). The home very was comfortable and and we enjoyed the cozy fireplace in the living room. All in all a very enjoyable stay!

The 'Best Christmas Ever!'
Our family is currently spread across the globe. Our 3 college age boys are living far from us .... stretching from NYC to Utrecht to points various and ever-changing. So our time together is precious indeed. The five of us plus girlfriends plus 2 older relatives , all made our way up the hill to Villa CP in a 10 seater VW van in anticipation of our first major gathering in over a year. Without taking up all of the possible space with details here... I will jump ahead and say emphatically.... PERFECTION! It is a place to cook and rest and hike and read and play cards and ..... and to top it off - the blog!!!! read it and do what it tells you. Every recommendation was a hit ... restaurants, local interest, hikes etc. Our boys agreed,"best Christmas ever!" we will be back without a doubt.

Stunning Location and Villa
We had two weeks at the fabulous Villa CP. The house has everything you will need and Guy could not have been more helpful with suggestions for restaurants and putting us in touch with a very reliable taxi driver. The situation is spectacular - views over the hills down to the coast provided an inspiring backdrop for lots of lazy days. We really really appreciated the cooling floors, which worked fabulously even with temperatures in the high 30s, and there was always the pool to cool off in when spending time outside. Only word of warning is to avoid having tasting menus for dinner on consecutive days – you’ll find it hard to move after that. For our teenagers, Wi-Fi. Table football and the table tennis were heavily used, but the trampoline was really only occupied for stargazing.

Outstanding
A spectacular villa set in a beautiful, peaceful location. The grounds and house itself are gorgeous and to a very high standard, with stunning views all around. The villa itself is very well equipped and very modern inside but evident to see that the owners put a lot of thought and attention to detail into creating a luxurious, homely house without detracting from the glorious views and natural surroundings. The children loved the pool, trampoline and being able to pick fresh lemons, oranges and grapefruit from the trees in the garden. The location is perfect for cycling- loads of gravel/off road trails and smooth roads, within easy reach of Girona (about 20km), which has plenty of bike, coffee and ice cream shops. A very special place to stay and definitely one we will come back to.

An excellent experience, luxurious and restful. The location is perfect, not too far from town but also very quiet and private. The house is beautiful and the quality is very high class.

Pretty Much Paradise
I’m pretty sure all the available superlatives have already been used by the other reviewers, so suffice it to say that we felt it was an absolute privilege to be able to stay here. Thank you so much to Guy, Monica and Raquel who were all extremely helpful. We very much hope to be back again in the next couple of years!

Better than even our high hopes/expectations.
It’s hard to add to what so many others have said, other than perhaps it exceeded our highest hopes and expectations. We are architecture and relaxing villa vacation fans, and this place is truly special in so many ways. The location is perfect - secluded, quiet, beautiful - yet very convenient for Girona, which was a town we didn’t know much about, but ended up loving. We have stayed in many nice houses over the years, but this place is special. It is not a luxury rental property in the normal sense. Rather it is a beautifully conceived and perfectly executed family dream second home that amazingly the owners are now renting out. If you have any hesitations about renting it, let them go. I suspect the only issue with Villa CP going forward is the question of can you book it far enough in advance. We aim to try!

Stunning
Guy met us at arrival and introduced us to a magical oasis. When we had minor questions throughout the week, he was attentive and reponsive, even helping to arrange a 75th dinner celebration with chefs from Barcelona. Our group—aged 1 to 75–were all comfortable. The pool is divine as well as the outdoor showers. An architectural gem, coming from an aesthetic snob!

Dreamy!!
We were lucky to be able to rent this one of a kind villa for a week. The design and details were beautiful and very well thought out. The view, pool, kitchen, bedrooms and common areas so easy to settle in to. Girona is one of our favorite cities too. Hope to be back and stay longer. Thank you Guy and Co it couldn’t have been better!

Between you can read many great comments about villa cp in the previous reviews.. all is more than true.. i have to add only one - my family have to back to one of the most impressive place in the world (after visiting many many amazing places as the architect and designer).. go to this villa between mountains, silent, flowers, between heaven and earth.. thank you so much for this experience, guy.. daniela & peter & little daniela

Heaven on Earth
Our group of adult family and friends enjoyed a glorious week at this gorgeous villa, tucked away in the hilltops. The beds were super comfortable, and the tiled bathrooms were beautiful. The kitchen was large enough for all 8 of us to prepare meals of fresh fish, calamari and prawns from the local markets. (The BBQ was well-appreciated too.) And of course, the main draw for everyone on our hot hot hot August days was the natural lily-filtered pool! The house remained cool, due to the water-cooled flooring, and large fans. (The annex, with futon, while very private and lovely, didn't cool off on these hot days.)
The mountain bikes, foosball and ping pong tables, and pool gave us plenty to do (when we could rouse ourselves to do anything other than relax in the plentiful loungers and hammocks).
Guy was very quick to respond to any issues or questions.
We highly recommend Villa CP, and hope to return. -
The Photos Don't Lie
Holy moly this place is perfect. Currently counting pennies in order to buy it away from Guy and Co. Where to begin: the view is glorious; the frog-filled infinity pool is the future (no shower before bed when you're not swimming in chemicals); the made-for-the-movies Nancy Meyers kitchen (two sinks, every gadget you could dream of, a futuristic hob that was literally fun to use); geo-thermally cooled inside air; big, comfy beds and rainforest showers; a thoughtful website that completely reflects their thoughtful approach to living and attention to detail.
It was also just great meeting Guy who made us dinner when we arrived about 4 hours late because of a flight delay, as well as answered all of my text questions within seconds. When I confused our departure date he even invited us to spend the night in his Barcelona home. Only fault I can find is that their place is so nice I've been embarrassed to show any of the ten million pictures I took to friends for fear they will hate us.
Thank you Guy and Co -- can't wait to do it all over again next summer. -

Wonderful villa in a superb location
It's rare that when you book somewhere for a holiday that, when you arrive, it exceeds the photos you see beforehand. Villa CP does this. Its overall design and layout make it both a wonderful retreat and a great base from which to explore the Costa Brava and Emporda wine region.
We loved the gardens and the swimming pool and the design allowed for an extremely relaxing stay.
Guy's insight on the website allowed to us to make well informed decisions about where to visit and where to eat.
Overall, this was a wonderful place, which we already miss and will return to. -
Fantastic Holliday
We have had a fantastic holiday at Village CP. There are so many great things that we enjoyed but to highlight a few:
- The villa was so comfortable from the temperature, the beds, the kitchen and the bathrooms. Everything is of the highest quality and easy to use.
- The views are relaxing and quiet. Beautiful back drop to photos and memories.
- We were worried it might be too hot in August but it was just right. We could go out anytime of the day with no problems.
- The pool is very big and once you get used to the slippery bottom everyone says how great it is compared to normal chlorine pools. The children enjoyed the frogs and wildlife too that comes with a natural pool.
- Lots to do in the area. We did day trips to Barcelona, Girona and various beaches.
-We were also concerned about mosquitos but there were not many at all. (a few wasps but they minded their own business as lots of beautiful flowers to keep them busy. Nobody got stung)
- Owners and his team that care for the villa were all kind and helpful. Excellent communication made us feel safe and comfortable in this unique villa. -
The house and gardens are simply outstanding
We would strongly recommend this superb property. The house and gardens are simply outstanding. Both have been brilliantly designed to take full advantage of the stunning setting and views. No better way to unwind than to spend a week in this idyllic spot. The house is extremely well equipped and the owners are generous in their approach to their guests with plentiful kitchen equipment, games for the kids etc. The property manager Monica is extremely helpful and charming - nothing was too much trouble. We had a splendid time.

Stunning house in an amazing setting
We've stayed here with our family on a number of occasions. 'Private mountain paradise' really is a perfect description of the house. Looking out over woods and rolling hills with barely another house in sight it's completely secluded, yet only 20 mins drive from the airport at Girona. The house itself is breath-taking. Every detail has been thought through so that the space, fittings and furnishings are both beautiful and functional, and all of the highest quality. The house and gardens blends with the surroundings and are sensitive to the environment, yet also totally luxurious. At the same time, it feels like a real home rather than a commercial rental. We plan to go back as soon as we can!

Located on top of the mountain, behind the church in a forgotten village resting on the slope facing the Mediterranean Sea. In splendid seclusion surrounded by wild pine forest, cork trees and vineyards. Winding mountain roads leading west and east.
In this beautifully converted ruin you'll find inner peace and the perks of a vegetable garden and fruit trees providing a fresh slice of lemon to go in your icy vermouth & tonic by the pool. I cannot imagine a more peaceful or soulful place to enjoy a family vacation. Rise at dawn and go for a run before the sun (and the kids) rises too high above the horizon. Take a dip in the natural water pool and contemplate over a morning coffee. Girona is a short drive away, Barcelona a mere hour. Food, wine, culture, world class golf course, cycling, beaches, shopping, adventure, France - everything within easy reach. This is getaway luxury at its best. We spent three weeks in the house without ever really wanting to leave. A three week long slice of heaven. The owners, Guy & Co, are the most amiable people you'll ever meet.
