The beautiful family villa, Villa Beneharo is the quiet residential area of Aigua Gelida, Tamariu, and it truly is one of the best. It is one of the rare Spanish villas to have its own private infinity pool, so one can sit in it and look right over the edge at the striking countryside and partial sea-views which are visible from the garden. The garden is also equipped with a lounging area and dining area providing the perfect place to relax.

Villa Beneharo sleeps up to 8 people and possesses a stylish and modern interior. It has several French windows which make the rooms feel light and airy, and the walls brag neutral colours having the effect of a calming atmosphere.

The villa consists of four charming bedrooms, and several delightful areas for the family to socialise in, for instance, there is a spacious lounging area with access to the exterior terraces on both the ground and first floor meaning that there is more than enough space for the whole family. Furthermore, Villa Beneahro has a fully equipped contemporary kitchen, so you can cook-up lots of delicious cuisines.

A further benefit of Villa Beneharo is that it is only a 15 minute downhill stroll to the beach, and it is close by to many bars and restaurants selling beautiful local food. Additionally, it is only a one hour drive to the city of Girona, which is plentiful in beautiful and exciting attractions for the whole family to enjoy, such as, the Cinema Museum and Girona Cathedral.

Tamariu is a truly delightful seaside village offering a gorgeous, sandy family-friendly beach, as well as a string of popular waterfront restaurants and a couple of well-stocked minimarkets. Tamariu has retained a lot of its charm compared to many other 'resorts' along the Spanish Costas, and this is due to the nature (good fortune) of its rather rugged (but sublimely beautiful) coastline and the difficulty of large tourist companies getting transfer coaches up and down the narrow hillside roads.

And thank goodness for that, as what we are left with is an utterly charming stretch of coastline occupied by like-minded, discerning tourists who respect the local countryside and embrace the traditional restaurants and tapas bars which can be found in this gem of a village. And getting there could not be easier, as Girona-Costa Brava airport is less than an hour's drive away.

According to the British Telegraph newspaper, the beach at Tamariu ranks as one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava. Embraced by pine-clad headlands, the horseshoe-shaped beach is very pretty, family-friendly and sheltered. Just behind the beach is the pedestrian promenade, where there are some cafes, restaurants and beach gear shops. Parents can happily while away a little time in the shade, sipping whatever they fancy, with their children, only yards away from them, play safely on the sand.

It probably won't be the first time you've heard of it in this neck of the woods, but Tamariu was originally a small fishing village. It has definitely retained some of its charm and identity, and its beautiful south-facing sandy bay offers a romantic destination for lovers. It's also a good choice for families seeking a quieter Costa Brava resort. The activity in the village will peak in August, but as yet, there aren't any English bars or breakfasts. Neither are their high-rise hotels on the landscape, only a blend of greens, blues and sandy shades with pretty whitewashed buildings in the foreground.

The villa is a lovely place for kids to hang out - teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the pool. The house is a beautiful family retreat in a quiet location but close to so many fun things to do together as a family, from exploring beaches to having dinner in the old town of Tamariu.

The town's beach has fine sand and all the local amenities you could require, with boat rentals, restaurants and cafes within a few paces of the beach. Other popular, family-friendly beaches are Sa Tuna, Sa Riera, Fonda and Cala Aiguablava. The golden-sanded beach of Pals is 3km from the atmospheric Medieval town and is beautiful. There are protected dunes and special ecosystems such as wetlands and rice fields along the beach. There are rice festivals that take place showing visitors how the rice was originally planted by hand.

If you visit Begur, children will enjoy visiting the castle at the top of the town. The views are fantastic and worth the steep climb up! It is like travelling back in time in Begur. You will certainly enjoy a good lunch too served by very friendly Catalans. There is also a castle at Peratallada, a small Medieval village not far away. There are stone bridges, narrow streets and tiny little shops and cafes.

The Costa Brava Parc Adventura at Pals is situated in more than 5 hectares of leafy Mediterranean forest. It has more than 110 acrobatic games within 9 circuits of different heights and difficulties. There are ziplines, vacuum pumps, vines, walkways, skateboards, slacklines, tunnels, swings and stirrups. It is such good fun!

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €1,000 charged to client’s credit card before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price. Guests can request extra linen and towles, at an extra cost of:
- Set of sheets: €8 per person + 21% VAT
- Set of towels: €4 per person + 21% VAT
Pool towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €100 required, for bookings of less than 1 week, to be paid prior arrival via a link direct to the supplier. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights during peak season. 3 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Friday during peak season. Flexible during other periods.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? Not available.
Tax The tenants will need to pay a tourist tax of €0,90 per person per night for over 16's, not included in the rental price and will need to be paid prior to arrival via a link direct to the supplier.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
