Casa Versalles radiates charm and character, located just a short drive from the lovely Cala Canyelles beach and from the centre of Tossa de Mar. Boasting three bedrooms alongside a charming sequence of indoor and outdoor living areas, this unique property is perfect for a family trip to the Costa Brava; a home away from home!
From the traditional wooden balustrades that frame the terrace, to the exposed beams and feature fireplace in the living room; it is the charm and quirks of this property that make it truly special. You can amble from room to room, enjoying the juxtaposition of modern features and creature comforts, with the traditional architecture. Entering on the first floor, the intimate living space is all open plan, with a cosy lounge, social dining area and the traditional kitchen.
The atmosphere is undoubtedly welcoming, and you can immediately make yourself at home, nestling into the cosy sofas, or settling yourself into one of the mismatched chairs around the dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped, with plenty of worktop space to use and windows that swing open, allowing the fresh mountain breeze to flow in and stunning mountain views out; is there anything better than cooking with a view! A guest toilet and laundry room complete the first floor, with the villa’s bedrooms all located downstairs. Simple, yet spacious each of the bedrooms has everything you need to settle in, all sharing the downstairs shower room. The first two bedrooms, a double and a twin both offer direct access to the terrace, with all three offering beautiful views of the mountains, allowing you to wake up, draw open your shutters and immediately immerse yourself in the picturesque surroundings.
Stepping outside, the views steal the show; stretching out over the treetops and surrounding villages to the striking mountains in the distance. Whether you’re sipping a coffee on the first-floor balcony, reading a book on the ground floor terrace, or cooling yourself off in the private swimming pool, the sequence of outdoor living spaces offers plenty of chances to relax! With a barbecue, children’s play area and sun loungers around the pool, everyone can find their favourite spot. Casa Versalles is an idyllic base for exploring the Costa Brava, a charming property in a fantastic location.

Located in the heart of the Costa Brava which stretches from Blanes to the French Border, you can expect nothing but sandy beaches, delicious food and a welcoming culture! The Costa Brava gets more and more popular each year, enticing tourists from all over the world and the city inhabitants of Barcelona much the same. The summer months see the coastal towns come alive with local festivals and music performances, whilst in the winter a more tranquil and quieter atmosphere awaits.
Cala Canyelles beach is characterised by its coarse white sand and crystal-clear seawater. Parasols and deck chairs are available to rent as well as pedal boats, parasailing, water-skiing and canoeing – perfect for those who prefer a more active relaxation! We would recommend you enjoy some delicious Mediterranean food at the beachfront restaurant, fish and paellas are the speciality! As well as this tranquil beach, you will find a myriad of coves and long sandy stretches scattered along the coast. From nudist beaches, to family friendly shores, there is something for everyone, you can even head out on a boat trip, to explore the coastline from another perspective!
Tossa de Mar, a short drive from the property, is a beautiful walled medieval town. As you wander through the maze of narrow cobbled streets and between the charming old houses, it is impossible not to fall in love with the romance of this seaside town, hearing the crash of waves and watching as the sun hits the old stone houses, creating a cacophony of colour in the streets. Compared to the energetic town of Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar offers a quiet sophistication, having avoided the overdevelopment some tourist towns have faced. The old town (Vila Vella) sits encased within the medieval walls and is well worth an afternoon of exploring. You can even walk along the walls themselves, taking in the striking views of the city and the blue azure of the Mediterranean.

The villa's two twin bedrooms are great for kids, giving siblings the chance to share. Upstairs, the open plan living area has the undoubtable feel of a home away from home. Children can curl up on the sofas, making use of the large television and Wi-Fi, whilst you relax around the dining table or cook in the kitchen, enjoying the simple comfort of all being together in one space. The barbecue and outdoor dining area prove particularly popular with our younger guests as they can hop in and out of the swimming pool to the smells and tastes of delicious home-cooked meals – you could even get them involved in the cooking! An outdoor play area with swings will keep little ones entertained as well, and you can enjoy views of the mountains as you push them on a swing – something for everyone!
The location itself is great for families, sitting in a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist towns so you can enjoy some peace and privacy. Tossa de Mar, a short drive from the property, is a beautiful walled medieval town, known to be a little quieter than the energetic town of Lloret de Mar, found further down the coast. The maze of narrow cobbled streets can be tricky to navigate with a pram, so the historic town is easier to navigate with slightly older children, who will love the historic castle, striking views and fortress walls! The towns main beaches have all received a blue-flag rating, ensuring the sandy shores and calm seawater is clean and safe for your little ones, with plenty of facilities along the beachfront to make your days as easy and relaxed as possible.
Waterworld, a water park, less than a 15-minute drive from the villa, cannot be missed if you are travelling with kids. Known as the best waterpark on the coastline and one of the biggest in Europe, there is a whole day of fun to be had, easily keeping the whole family entertained!
