Isla Bonita is the perfect spot to get away and enjoy the tranquillity and calmness of Catalonia's Costa Brava. Surrounded by trees and with views of the nearby sea, this 6-bedroom villa with twin beds and bunk beds is perfect for families travelling with kids. There are various terraces to enjoy some al-fresco dining under the Spanish sun, a fenced swimming pool, and plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run around in.
On the ground floor, guests can make use of the kitchen, living room, and two dining areas with access to covered terraces. This is also the floor with the majority of bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with twin beds, one with bunk beds, and a studio room that contains a basic kitchenette. On the lower ground floor, there is a private room with a double bed and a shower that has access to the garden. On the top floor, you'll find the main suite, with its double bed, private shower, and access to a private terrace with seating. There is also an extra shower and toilet on the ground floor.
From Isla Bonita, guests can easily walk to the nearby towns of Sa Riera or Pals, and the beach is a stone's throw away! This is the perfect place to enjoy what Catalonia has to offer: gorgeous beaches, wonderful nature, quaint seaside villages, and incredible food!
If you want to explore a bit more, take a trip to the nearby towns of Begur or Palafrugell, or travel a bit further inland to the city of Girona! It's full of things to do, places to eat, and has tonnes of history. Isla Bonita is also in a great location because it is less than an hour's drive from Girona Airport

About the surrounding area of Isla BonitaLocated within walking distance of Sa Riera beach, Isla Bonita enjoys a fantastic and peaceful location. Widely regarded as one of the most stunning beaches in Costa Brava, guests can snorkel to their hearts' content, or hire a boat and visit some of the nearby coves for a change of scenery. The beaches of Illa Roja, Pals, Aiguafreda, and Sa Tuna are also just a stone’s throw away. There are also plenty of lovely restaurants on the beach, where guests can enjoy delicious seafood and potter about the charming village shops.
Just a short drive away is Begur, a hidden gem of the ever-popular Costa Brava; this town has a reputation as a stylish holiday choice, with a wide range of quality restaurants and shops, all offering a taste of sophisticated Spain. Begur has become very popular with the Spanish, many of whom travel from the city of Barcelona, which, if you feel like stretching your legs is located just 1-hour North of Begur! Located around 50 minutes drive from the stunning city of Girona (50 km) or 90 minutes (131 km) from the ever-buzzing Barcelona, Begur offers a fantastic location for all.
Begur is overflowing with Spanish charm and has a plethora of things to do from fantastic local eateries and restaurants to boutique shopping and much more. There are of course the ruins of the Castell de Begur which makes for an interesting hike. Begur is conveniently located within a slew of local Spanish towns and villages giving families and explorers plenty of things to do.
If history is your passion, then perhaps the nearby villages of Regencos and Púbol will interest you. They are both oozing with medieval architecture, especially Púbol which is home to many landmarks associated with Salvador Dalí, including the ruins of the castle that he gifted to his Russian wife, Gala. Begur is also local to many golf courses, two of which are located within 10km of the village.
Begur is known for having a good nightlife, with certain areas of the town having popular cocktail bars and nightclubs which is ideal for those who enjoy letting their hair down. Furthermore, for children and those adults who are young at heart there is a water theme-park in Begur called Platja d’Aro; packed with fun slides and flumes! Also, it is only an hour’s drive from Girona-Costa Brava Airport, so getting there could not be any easier!

About Costa Brava

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesIsla Bonita is a lovely place for kids to hang out; teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the fenced pool. There is plenty of space in the garden for all to run around and play, ensuring many fun evenings in this tranquil location!
The house is a beautiful family retreat in a quiet location but close to so many fun things to do together as a family, from exploring beaches to having dinner in the old town of Sa Riera- there's plenty to do in this region!
One of the bedrooms has twin beds and the other has bunk beds, so Isla Bonita is perfect for families with kids! What's more, there are various boating excursions are also on offer at the nearby beaches of Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna, where guests can visit the nearby coves and snorkel in the crystal clear waters. For the water babies, it’s a great spot for diving, and there are a few dive centres to be found in the area. Alternatively, the local water-park, Platja d’Aro, would also go down a treat with the kids!
For art lovers, Salvador Gala Dalí Castle House is around 30km away in Púbol, and in Figueres (40km) you can visit the Dalí Museum (To see more about the Dali Triangle click on the link here for Dalínese triangle, and go further down on the page to see the feature). A bit further away in Céret, is the Museum of Modern Art (Musée d’Art Moderne) where you can see the works of Matisse and Picasso.
Begur Castle is also well worth a visit for children; In 1607 the castle’s owners sold the rights to the town. During the 20th century restoration work was undertaken, and this means that what you see today has had delicate work done to it. This work has also enabled people with limited mobility and wheelchairs to visit the castle.
Another gorgeous Costa Brava town, Palafrugell, is only 12km away, where apart from seeing the town and its lovely beaches, you can also go to the colourful Sunday morning market, or the daily market. Palafrugell also has quite a few good deli shops, plus Lidl and Carrefour, so it can be a good place to get stocked up, for those of you who are planning to rent an apartment or villa.
