Sot de Gel is a fantastic traditional home located in the residential area of Blanes. With four bedrooms, the villa can accommodate eight guests, the amazing exterior of the property includes a private pool and barbecue area so that you can make the most of the great views and beautiful weather.
The villas traditional décor is very comforting; the rooms are bright and airy, matching wonderfully with the warm furnishings. Here you can enjoy the morning birdsong before delving into a refreshing breakfast under the morning sun. The villas charming characteristics are sure to put you ease and provide you with the perfect setting for your holiday.
As you enter the villa, you will find the open plan living and dining area. With two large sofas and a television, the living space invites you to relax, and there is even an armchair from which you can nestle into before getting stuck into your holiday reads. The wooden dining table is great for group meals and is also the perfect spot for enjoying a board game. Next to the open-plan space is the separate, modern and fully equipped kitchen, which also offers access to the patio.
All of the villa’s bedrooms are located on the first floor and compromise of three double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom. The simple design of the bedrooms makes the most of the smaller spaces; each bedroom has basic furnishings and lots of natural light. Two of the rooms also include access to the terrace, so enjoy waking up and stepping out to the morning sunshine, appreciating the great views of the surrounding area.
Sot de Gel’s outdoor area is particularly popular amongst guests. With several sun loungers available, you can rest-up under the hot sun, before stepping into the private pool for a gentle cool down. Or for something a little more energetic, play a few games on the patio, with Petanque provided and children’s swings also available, there is plenty to do. The villa’s outdoor dining areas are fantastic, with the options of the covered terrace or open patio, both included a beautiful backdrop of mountains, you really are spoilt for choice.

This quiet district is well suited for guests who are seeking some peaceful relaxation whilst visiting the region. The villa offers fantastic mountain views and certainly encourages you to relax. With the town nearby, there are plenty of amenities within reach, Blanes has a number of supermarkets, pharmacies and shops. The town also has lots of restaurants that cater to families and couples alike. Being a working fishing port, you can expect plenty of fresh seafood and lots of tapas. So be sure to visit the local markets and restaurants for the perfect way to experience the local culture.
What would a holiday to the Costa Brava be without spending some time on the beach! Blanes is home to a huge stretch of sand and crystal clear waters. This is the perfect place to enjoy a lazy day, bring a picnic and soak up the sun as you relax on the gorgeous golden sands. If Blanes gets a little crowded for your liking, there are numerous other beaches along the coast, many of which are only accessible by boat or foot, ensuring a bit of privacy.
The coastline is home to an abundance of different walks and trails; many of these follow the coast and offer fantastic views up the rugged coastline. Along these paths you will also uncover small secluded beaches and hidden coves, giving you a real taste of the region’s dramatic beauty. With lots of different routes available for all abilities, be sure to ask at the local tourist office for more information.
If you are seeking a night of fun, the nearby town of Lloret de Mar has a vibrant nightlife well worth exploring. Wander the busy streets discovering hidden bars and quaint restaurants, soaking up the lively atmosphere. Be sure to take a walk along the beach after a fun evening of laughter and chatter, and there really is no better way to finish the night.

Best Suited For: All AgesThe villa is a fantastic home for groups with children of all ages, with some fantastic features ideally suited to younger kids. The private pool is always a family favourite, with all ages finding endless entertainment in the cool and refreshing water. The villa also has a swing set young kids will love, with plenty of space on the terrace for running around and playing in, and there is no shortage of fun to be had. The owner has also provided Petanque so the whole family can enjoy a little gentle competition!
Blanes is a great town for families and was the first coastal town to achieve the ‘Family Tourism Destination’ certificate. It is family-friendly restaurants cater well for children as many will open earlier than traditional Spanish eateries and offer a kid’s menu, so be sure to take a night off cooking! The beach at Blanes is also excellent for young families; the waters are shallow and often calm, providing the perfect setting for the kids to play in. Lots of local facilities like showers, bathrooms and shops make life a little easier whilst you relax on the sand.
We highly recommend organising or joining a boat tour of the local coastline, and the guides will take you to some of the areas hidden beach and coves, only approachable by sea. This is the perfect way to explore the area, with an abundance of knowledge of the areas steep history the guides are fantastic at giving you a unique experience as you cruise the calm waters. Many of the tour operators also offer diving and snorkelling sessions. This is a real treat and an amazing way to explore the incredible sea life in the rocky coves.
A day trip to the local waterpark is also a great day out. Water World is just a short drive away and has lots of rides the whole family can enjoy. Explore the parks exciting flumes before relaxing in the different pools, and you can enjoy fast-paced, exciting rides or take things a little slower, it has it all. The park has lots of facilities for you to stay the day, with several eateries, but feel free to bring a picnic a enjoy it amongst the pine trees.
With so much to offer just on your doorstep, there can be no doubt that Sot del Gel is the place for your family holiday.

End of stay cleaning included? | Extra €95 to be paid with the balance. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit. |
