Casa Buenaventura is a charming and characterful holiday home located just 4 km from the beach of Aiguablava. With three good-sized bedrooms, this villa sleeps up to five guests in total, making it the ideal choice for a family, friends or multiple couples travelling together. For those looking to relax in a convenient yet tranquil location, not too far from the hustle and bustle, Casa Buenaventura provides an idyllic setting.
With rustic terracotta floors, lovely wooden beams and modern luxuries, Casa Buenaventura has been lovingly restored to ensure the upmost comfort for guests. Divided over two floors, there is plenty of space to spread out and find private moments to yourself, while also enjoying friendly, open-plan living areas where you can spend quality time with your loved ones.
On the ground floor, guests will find the fully-equipped, a the large open-plan living/dining room with direct access to the lovely outdoor terrace. There is also a spacious master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is a double bedroom, a single bedroom and bathroom. The bedrooms are all spaciously proportioned and finished to a high standard. The entire property is full of character and Spanish charm; guests will feel truly at home here at Casa Buenaventura.
The real jewel of this home is the well-thought-out exterior. The garden is home to a whole host of activities including a fantastic private pool, comfortable sun loungers, and even a shaded living area featuring a huge sofa! There is also a fantastic built-in barbecue and dining table, perfect for preparing delicious alfresco meals with loved ones. The pool is surrounded by large hedging, providing guests with complete privacy. Guests can access the terrace area directly from the main living space. With the beach just a few minutes away, as well as the bustling town of Begur located just a stone’s throw away, guests will be in heaven at Casa Buenaventura.

About the surrounding area of Casa BuenaventuraCasa Buenaventura is located just 4 km from the stunning Aiguablava beach; with crystal clear water and white sand, it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches of Begur. The fine white sand and white rocks provide the water with an exquisite clear blue colour making it a perfect location for snorkelling. Its shallow, calm waters and the proximity to fabulous local restaurants make it highly recommended for the whole family. There is also a place to rent boats and kayaks, for those that want to explore the nearby bays.
Just a few moments away from the villa is the heart of Begur, a hidden gem of the ever-popular Costa Brava. Begur is part of the comarca of the Baíx Empordá in Catalonia. It has become very popular with the Spanish, many of whom travel from the city of Barcelona, which, if you feel like stretching your legs is located just 1 hour North of Begur! Located around 50 minutes drive from the stunning city of Girona (50 km) or 90 minutes (131 km) from the ever-buzzing Barcelona, Begur offers a fantastic location for all.
Begur is overflowing with Spanish charm and has a plethora of things to do from fantastic local eateries and restaurants to boutique shopping and much more. There are of course the ruins of the Castell de Begur which makes for an interesting hike.
Begur is conveniently located within a slew of local Spanish towns and villages giving families and explorers plenty of things to do. There are also the stylish beaches of Sa Tuna and Sa Riera which are just a short drive away. If history is your passion, then perhaps the nearby villages of Regencos and Púbol will interest you. They are both oozing with medieval architecture, especially Púbol which is home to many landmarks associated with Salvador Dalí, including the ruins of the castle that he gifted to his Russian wife, Gala. Begur is also local to many golf courses, two of which are located within 10 km of the village.

Best Suited For: All AgesIf you’re planning a family holiday, Casa Buenaventura is ideal. The single bedroom is perfect for families travelling with kids, and the large private pool will entertain children for hours.
There is also a wonderful range of things to do in and around this destination. Various boating excursions are on offer at Aiguablava beach, where guests can visit the nearby coves and snorkel in the crystal clear waters. For the water babies, it’s a great spot for diving, and there are a few dive centres to be found in the area.
For art lovers, Salvador Gala Dalí Castle House is around 30 km away in Pubol, and in Figueres (58 km) you can visit the Dalí Museum. A little further away in Ceret, is the Museum of Modern Art (Musee d’Art Moderne) where you can see the works of Matisse and Picasso.
Begur Castle is also well worth a visit for children; In 1607 the castle’s owners sold the rights to the town. During the 20th century restoration work was undertaken, and this means that what you see today has had delicate work done to it. This work has also enabled people with limited mobility and wheelchairs to visit the castle.
Another gorgeous Costa Brava town, Palafrugell, is only 7 km away, where apart from seeing the town and its lovely beaches, you can also go to the colourful Sunday morning market, or the daily market. Palafrugell also has quite a few good deli shops, plus Lidl and Carrefour, so it can be a good place to get stocked up, for those of you who are planning to rent an apartment or villa.
