Enjoying views of hills and the sea from its beautiful first-floor terrace, Villa Marcio is a classic holiday home close to the town of Moraira on the Costa Blanca.

With a tasteful look and warm feel throughout its spacious rooms, this villa is a comfortable base that feels like a home away from home. There are also plenty of modern conveniences throughout, as well as some vast outside space to enjoy. The large living room features an incredibly comfortable corner sofa, where the whole family can snuggle up and watch films on cooler evenings and also direct access onto to the exterior terrace and down to the pool!

Through the archway is a small table for dining that’s right next to the kitchen for easy meal serving. The kitchen itself is well-equipped and open-plan, also with access to the exterior and a feature SMEG oven/hob for the chefs of the family to whip up a delicious meal on!

There are three bedrooms in total, and all benefit from air conditioning. Two bedrooms have a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower each. The first-floor bedroom also has private access to a terrace with outdoor furniture and stunning views. This bedroom is accessed via an external staircase, which is great for those in the family that would benefit from a little extra privacy.

The third bedroom, on the ground floor, features a bunk bed and one single bed. The bunk bed comprises of a double bed with a single bed above and is a great option for the kids! There is also a shared shower on this floor, which this bedroom can use exclusively since the others have their own ensuites!

Accessed directly from several rooms of the villa is a partially-covered terrace with a seating area. Steps take you down onto the central patio, where you will find an outdoor kitchen, built-in barbecue and dining table under a beautiful canopy. Also on the terrace is a private swimming pool and a good selection of sun loungers. Around the pool is a small gravel garden that’s home to an outdoor shower, a sumptuous Balinese bed and a seating area with another barbecue. The garden extends to include a variety of exotic, colourful trees and plants for a charming feel.

Villa Marcio is well-connected to amenities and facilities, being just 3 km away from the centre of Moraira. Here you will find a good selection of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants for all your needs when on holiday.

The beautiful, white sands of Playa de l'Ampolla are perfect for enjoying a day out by the sea, with calm waters ideally suited to swimming. If the younger ones are a bit wary of taking the plunge, they can play safely in the small stream that feeds into the sea. Older children will love having a go at volleyball with the dedicated net on the beach, and there's also a playground and restaurant on the beach!

The town itself hasn't lost any of its traditional Spanish charms, despite having been transformed from a humble fishing village into a famous resort town. You'll find plenty of atmospheric restaurants and cafes dotted along its cobbled streets and old market square. A restaurant recommendation for the centre of the town is Restaurante Vista Ifach, but there are plenty more!

There's also a large open-air market held every Friday, so you can browse for local handmade goods or some souvenirs if you happen to visit the town on that day. Moraira's most famous historical attraction is the 18th-century castle, Castillo de Moraira, which sits overlooking Playa de l'Ampolla beach. The best thing to do here is to wander around the town when the sun sets, as the skies turn a gorgeous colour that will impress everyone!

Lively Benidorm is around a 35-minute drive from the villa, with the town being surprisingly full of family-friendly attractions and activities, despite its reputation for being a party hotspot. You can take the children to many fun and exciting parks, including Aqua Natura and Aqualandia water parks. There's also Terra Mítica, a large theme park, and the nature park/zoo Terra Natura that sits next to Aqua Natura.

Villa Marcio was designed for families with children in mind, with particular attention taken to the sleeping arrangements. Younger ones will love the bedroom with a bunk bed and a single bed - but be prepared for arguments over who gets the top bunk! They'll also enjoy the outside space as they can have fun in the pool, make themselves comfy on the Balinese bed and explore the garden.

The nearby town of Moraira offers a friendly, laid-back atmosphere, and the central Playa de l'Ampolla is perfect for young children. The long, golden sand stretches out along a gentle shore which is ideal for paddling in the shallow water. There are also two beachside playgrounds, well-maintained public facilities, and a handful of cafes and restaurants that make it easy to spend a relaxing afternoon beside the sea. Children will also love Moraira's castle, which sits near the waterfront in the old town. Although the original 18th-century fortress was destroyed, an impressive reconstruction sits in its place, complete with a drawbridge and moat.

Just over 30 minutes away by car is Aqua Natura in Benidorm. This vast water and amusement park are full of exciting slides for children of all ages. There are pools for just enjoying a swim also! You can even get close to sea lions as you watch them perform tricks for food. There are plenty of places around the park for you to grab lunch too, or you could make up a picnic and enjoy it within the dedicated picnic area.

Security deposit Credit card details are required 2 weeks prior to departure for pre-authorisation.
Arrival time 4-7 pm. Please enquire if you wish to arrive at a different time.
Departure time 10 am.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Pool towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Beach towels are an extra €5 per towel, paid locally. Please request these during the booking process.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €174, payable to Oliver's Travels with the balance payment. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights during peak season. 4 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Saturday during peak season. Flexible during other periods.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, a pet supplement of €50 per pet will apply (paid to OT prior to travel). Please request this during the booking process.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? Not available.
Tax Tourist Tax included in the rental price.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
