With wonderful ocean and mountain views and its warm and inviting ambience, Villa La Nau will instantly relax you. The villa is located in the Las Siesta urbanization of Javea, right next to the sea. Cap de la Nau, next to the villa has wonderful viewpoints over the Gulf of Valencia. There are several restaurants and supermarkets close by as well as several small beaches. Cala Ambolo is less than 2km from the villa.

Villa La Nau has a fabulous, interesting exterior to greet you and the views are absolutely stunning. With 5 lovely bedrooms, the villa sleeps up to 9 guests. It is built over 3 floors with the majority of the rooms on the main floor.

The open-plan living and dining area is warm and inviting with lots of arches, beamed ceilings and comfortable, if not modern, furniture. This is not a precious villa, it makes you feel at home and at ease. It is very spacious, inside and out. The fully equipped kitchen is off the living area. There are 3 of the 5 bedrooms on the main floor. The master has a double bed and ensuite bathroom and the two twins share a shower room.

Going upstairs you access the turret floor with a single bedroom with beautiful views. It is charming. On the ground floor you will find the remaining twin bedroom and a further bathroom. There is also a useful second living room with a TV and a small kitchen.

When staying at Villa La Nau you are not really likely to spend much time indoors as the views are stunning and the terrace sprawling and lovely. The pool is inviting and there are sun loungers and several covered areas for dining, drinking or perhaps a game of cards or reading. The barbecue is built-in and located in a charming covered area with wooden beams and a small preparation area.  It is peaceful at Villa La Nau and very secluded which is wonderful. There is covered parking for 3 cars at the villa.

Villa La Nau is situated on the peninsula south of Javea, next to Cabo la Nao. There are small, quiet shingle beaches close by including Cala Ambola but the nearest larger pebbly or sandy beaches are Playa de la Granadella 5.6km away and Playa El Arenal 7km away. Javea town is 9km from the villa.  Cala Ambola is a nudist beach and not especially easy to reach so although it is lovely, it may not be the best for young families. The crystal clear waters are perfect for snorkeling but you do have to go down quite a number of steps to the beach and park a fair distance away. For this reason it is usually fairly quiet. Playa de la Grenadella is tucked away in a gorgeous cove with lovely walking trails close by. It does get busy. The water is incredibly clear.

The port town of Javea sits on the gorgeous seafront in the shadow of the Montgo Mountain between Valencia and Alicante. It boasts an old town with a wonderful Medieval church as the centrepiece and many shops, cafes and restaurants along the cobbled streets. It has a lively nightlife and 2 Blue Flag beaches, Arenal and La Grava, a pebbly beach loved by the locals and lined with tapas restaurants. The boardwalk stretches 3km between the beaches. Arenal beach is sandy with clear, shallow water and pedalos to hire. Arenal is Javea’s old town and where the nightlife is most lively. As well as tapas, the sangria and cocktails will be flowing and there are many live flamenco shows. There are 3 nightclubs along the beach.

The port area of Javea has a fascinating charm with whitewashed houses surrounding the bay and many seafood restaurants. You can watch the catches come in. It has a real Spanish feel and is a lively, bustling area with many shops.

Guadelest is a 40 minute drive away from Javea, taking steep winding roads. The whitewashed bell tower hugs the mountainside with wonderful views and a rock-carved tunnel takes you to a picturesque old village and castle. It is a great day out. The views are spectacular and there are plenty of cafes and shops.

Children will enjoy their holiday at Villa La Nau. The pool and terrace is lovely and the villa spacious and not too precious.

Of course children will love the beach days. Arenal is a fantastic beach for families with its wide expanse of sand and shallow, clear waters. There is a great selection of cafes and restaurants close to the beach. It is easy to organise some family snorkeling or kayaking trips in the area. Kayak Javea operate from Cala Granadella. Another company is SiestaAdvisor who again operate from Granadella. The experienced kayaking guides will lead you along the Jurassic coastline, warm beaches, incredible cliff formations and cathedral-like sea caves. Cova del Nao is the biggest sea cave in Spain.

Cycling in this area is popular for families and there are many bike hire companies. Relax’N’Ride organise family rides as well as hair-raising off-road trips. Segway is another popular adventure to discover the area.

You can hire boats from the marina in Javea. Children always love a boat trip and you may even be lucky enough to spot a few dolphins.

If you get a dull day, you might enjoy a family escape at Project X Escape Rooms in Javea. There are two rooms, ‘Murder on Montgo’ and ‘Radioactive Refuge’. Both are challenging and exciting.

End of stay cleaning included? Extra €140, paid locally. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
