Casa del Cantaro is a stylish and beautifully designed four-bedroom villa with a private pool sleeping up to 8 guests. Surrounded by pine trees in a tranquil location, the property has been designed to blend in with nature. This unique oasis is less than a 10-minute drive away from the beautiful beach of Cala Portitxol and a 15-minute drive from the centre of Javea, which is a fantastic authentic treasure trove of local shops, bars, and restaurants. Casa del Cantaro is designed by renowned architect Manuel Jorge. You can expect natural elements, neutral pallets and exquisite stylish touches throughout the property creating a tranquil calm retreat.

The open-plan living and dining space is minimal and stylish, decorated with tasteful furnishings with a backdrop of whites, neutrals and cool tiles. A built-in sofa and stylish chairs compliment an artfully designed mantle and fireplace, a lovely space to kick back and maybe relax with a book or TV. The elegant dining space is perfect for lively dinner parties or relaxed drinks and nibbles, and the contemporary white kitchen will make any chef happy as it offers all the mod cons, including a microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, kettle and toaster.

There are four simple yet tastefully designed double bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, whilst the 3rd bedroom enjoys a separate bathroom. The 4th bedroom is a gorgeous outdoor annexe with its own shower, offering a different level of privacy if required.

Casa del Cantaro has lovely outside space reached through sliding glass doors. With a backdrop of tropical trees and greenery, you will find a fully furnished covered terrace where you can enjoy shady lunches, or you can fire up the barbeque and dine under the stars. Cool white steps lead down to a comfortable modern seating area, perfect for aperitifs or relaxing with a good book or head straight to the inviting pool framed by oversized loungers.

The villa is popular with families and groups alike and offers laundry facilities, including a washing machine and dryer. The property has individually-controlled air conditioning, heating, and Wi-Fi, and there is private open-air parking available. Casa del Cantaro offers the best of everything, a beautiful property in a fabulous location in one of Spain’s sunniest spots.

Casa del Cantaro is set in a tranquil area of Javea yet is within a short stroll of restaurants, bars and the excellent beaches of Platja Muntanyar & Playa del Portixol.

Javea is historic and charming and retains a 'Spanish' feel. The pretty old town has cobbled narrow streets lined with houses and shops built with original Tosca sandstone and is dominated by the gothic 15th Century church of San Bartolome. Beside the church is a beautiful building where you can find an indoor daily market selling local fresh produce. The Old town is also home to a local market each Thursday, the perfect spot to pick up trinkets and presents for home. A great way to explore the area is to find the Miradors of Javea. These are 14 designated viewpoints showing the best views of Javea. The Miradors are clearly signposted and begin at Cap San Antonio, where there is a lighthouse.

Cala Portitxol is a nearby beautiful pebble beach surrounded by a lush forest. You can enjoy fabulous views of the Mediterranean and the Isla Del Portitxol, a small island which is of great botanical and archaeological interest and frequented by divers. There are plenty of water sports here, along with hammocks and umbrellas to rent and the charming fisherman's houses with pretty backdrops are now a must on Instagrammer's pics list.  

Playa Del Arenal is the town's main beach and is only a short drive or leisurely stroll from the property. Enjoying a large and wide, sandy, blue flag beach in a sheltered bay, the waters are shallow, clear and calm. Surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants, it's wonderful to stroll along the promenade on balmy evenings. There are plenty of stalls selling arts and crafts, and if you are looking for lively nightlife, there are live music bars and clubs aplenty.

The Port of Javea is a lively, bustling area. Whitewashed houses surround the bay, and there are plenty of good shops, bars and cafes to stroll around. Locals and tourists alike enjoy excellent bay-side restaurants that serve fantastic seafood and give you a chance to sit back and people-watch.

A lovely day out is to take a drive to Denia. Sitting at the foot of a hill crowned by a castle, this delightful historical coastal town is lovely to explore and enjoys several beaches of fine sand and shallow waters, making it ideal for the little ones. Golf enthusiasts are well catered for with four courses nearby, including Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros, and the Javea Golf Club.

Casa del Cantaro is an excellent property for kids, they will love the pool and space the property offers, and there is tons of fun to be had in this family-friendly region! Beaches in and around the Javea area are stunning, and some of the best are just a short drive away.

The main beach of Play Del Arenal is a large golden sandy 'blue flag' beach and is a big hit with families – the calm shallow waters and plethora of amenities make for a great family beach day. Kids are going to love the water sports available such as kayaks, paddleboards and pedalos, and there are plenty of activity zones and three play areas to occupy the kids if they need to burn off some energy. El Arenal promenade has lots of restaurants and shops and pop-up stalls to explore. A trip on the vibrant blue and yellow tourist train is always a big hit with the kids.

Other beaches of note for families include Granadella Beach, which is only a short drive from the property. This beautiful naturally formed cove has over 150 metres of pebbled beach next to crystal clear waters. Energetic kids can book kayak and paddle board experiences, and there is a hiking trail that leads up to 'El Castell de la Granadella', a historic coastal defence post. If you want to sit back and relax, there are lovely beach bars with beautiful views along this idyllic beach.

A fun way to explore the area is to find the Miradors of Javea. These are 14 designated viewpoints showing the best views of Javea. The Miradors are clearly signposted and begin at Cap San Antonio, where there is a lighthouse.

If the kids want a rest from beach life, Benidorm's Terra Mitica theme park is sure to keep them entertained. There are also water parks and animal parks in the area, such as Aqualandia and Mundomar. Make sure to check ahead of time when thinking of visiting one of these theme parks, as they sometimes close during the colder months.

Javea and the Costa Blanca offers an abundance of activities for families, and 'I'm bored' is not a sentence you should hear very often in this fabulous family-friendly region.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €1500 charged to client’s credit card before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 5-8 pm. Please note that if you wish to arrive outside of these hours, this will incur a charge of €75 and is only available with prior agreement from the owner. Please request this during the booking process.
Departure time 10 am. Please note that if you wish to depart outside of these hours, then you must arrange this with the property managers and it may incur a fee.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price and changed every 7 days.
Pool towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €280, payable to Oliver's Travels with the balance payment. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
Changeover day Monday to Saturday.
Pets welcome? Not permitted.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? Pool heating is included in the rental price, but the property managers must be notified by guests if they wish to use it. Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.
Tax Tourist Tax included in the rental price.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Other Ts and Cs An optional high chair and cot are available, on request and at an extra charge of €45/stay per item. Please request these during the booking process.
