Escape to an oasis at Villa Charmelita and marvel at the charm of this classic holiday home. This home away from home, along Spain's Costa Blanca, is the perfect getaway for friends and family who are seeking a little relaxation and rejuvenation - and sun, plenty of sun. This villa is the perfect combination of a bright, airy villa and a classic, homely home.

The open-plan living areas create a calming, homey feel that encourages relaxation. These rooms have large windows that let the light stream in, and the double doors out onto the pool area offer a wonderful inside-outside flow. Whether enjoying breakfast or dinner, the dining room in the kitchen creates an inclusive, family feel to all meal times, as people come and go and prepare their dishes and drinks. The kitchen has all the amenities you would want and is also open-plan, giving an airy flow through the property.

There are two floors in this property, both independent from each other and only accessible through an external staircase. On the ground floor, guests can benefit from a double bed comprised of two joined single beds, and on the lower ground floor, guests can enjoy a double bed and separate sofa bed in the living room (only suitable for two children). Both floors also contain a shower and toilet for guests to use.

The outdoor space here is a little calming oasis, away from the busyness of daily life. Guests can exit the ground floor living room and jump straight into the private pool or lay out all day on one of the sun loungers! There are plenty of other outdoor spaces to revel in, from the table and chairs at the back nook of the villa, where a morning coffee can be enjoyed, to the covered corner terrace. What's more, be sure to cook up a storm on the barbecue and dine alfresco on the outdoor dining table!

This villa is located in the hilly area below Benissa, one of the oldest towns along the Costa Blanca, and also a short drive from the coastal town of Moraira. The town's medieval charm has been largely preserved with medieval architecture and plazas for holiday goers to revel in.

The villa is within a short drive from La Fustera Beach, which is a stunning sandy beach with blue flags for cleanliness. There is also a restaurant close by and a big car park. Near the beach is Cova de la Fustera, a cave that provides a magnificent view of the Benissa coastline, and it is worth exploring for the views alone. Also nearby to the villa is Cala Baladrar, an impressive rocky beach with a chiringuito to enjoy a drink and some delicious seafood at.

The ideal thing about Benissa is that it is located just off the A-7 motorway, which makes day trips to other spots along the Costa Blanca a breeze. Pack your towels and your sunblock and explore other towns along the Costa Blanca, such as Denia, Javea, Moraira and Calpe, and revel in the history and beauty of these coastal spots. As you head back home, take a detour into Benissa for cuisine that boasts fresh, locally caught seafood. There are also plenty of international establishments in the area.

Happy children, happy parents. Happy parents, happy children. It can sound simple, but travelling with children, and remaining stress-free, rarely is that easy. This villa, however, takes the stress away as it is a family-friendly spot for children and adults to relax.

The enclosed plot has space for children to roam around, although chances are they will spend dawn to dusk in the pool. Parents can sit at one of the many poolside dining options or relax on the pool loungers as the little ones dive, swim and just have fun in the water. There is also plenty of shade for little ones sitting around the pool.

Sports-wise, older children can try out golf and tennis close to the villa; Buenavista Benissa Tennis Club is literally around the corner and offers kids sessions! The hiking trails will encourage everyone to stretch their legs and escape into the lush Costa Blanca countryside. And there's always the huge choice of water sports both at La Fustera marina and Les Bassetes. If you have a bunch of dare-devils, drive thirty minutes to Benidorm for Europe's largest theme park and its white-knuckle rides or one of the many water parks for huge water slides and lagoons.

While Calpe is known for its beaches and the famous rock Penon de Ifach, its old town is also worth a visit. Kids will love the colourful Spanish steps in the historic centre and the 15th-century walls and watch towers. Further afield, more fun can be had in Benidorm. A 40-minute drive from the villa, kids will love Aqualandia, where they can spend the day whizzing down water slides, riding rapids and splashing in one of the pools. They can also visit Terra Natura Zoo with its tigers, elephants and rhinos.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit Credit card details are required 2 weeks prior to departure for pre-authorisation.
Arrival time 4-7 pm. Please enquire if you wish to arrive at a different time.
Departure time 10 am.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Pool towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Beach towels are an extra €5 per towel, paid locally. Please request these during the booking process.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €180, payable to Oliver's Travels with the balance payment. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights during peak season. 4 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Saturday during peak season. Flexible during other periods.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, a pet supplement of €50 per pet will apply (paid to OT prior to travel). Please request this during the booking process.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? Not available.
Tax Tourist Tax included in the rental price.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
