Guests looking for lots of space will certainly find it at the delightful Casa Gao. This six bedroom, 4 bathroom villa is perfect for large families or groups of friends. It is located in a quiet residential area, 3 km from the centre of Calpe and 1.8 km from the sea. This wonderfully maintained villa is built over two floors with some of the bedrooms on the ground floor. It is ideal if you have any guests that are not especially mobile.
Calpe is a very popular destination on the Costa Blanca with a fascinating history and some remnants from the past such as the Roman Baths. Embraced by a fabulous hilly landscape with vineyards and mountains, Calpe is probably best known for it amazing beaches and delicious cuisine. If you like a buzzing tourist destination with amazing, year-round good weather, fantastic beaches, an atmospheric, historic old quarter, delicious local seafood, many outdoor activities and festivals and a great nightlife, then Calpe is a excellent destination for you.
Casa Gao offers the best of both worlds. You can totally relax in the villa and its very generous outside space, enjoying the tranquil environment yet you are moments from the bustling nightlife of Calpe. The villa enjoys a traditional, sunshine yellow exterior which is warm and inviting. The interior style is minimalist with comfortable, modern furnishings. With many doors opening to the terrace and balconies, the spaces are bright and airy, being drowned in natural light.
On the lower floor you will discover a spacious living and dining room with comfy sofas and digital television. The kitchen will delight the chef in your group with its excellent range of appliances and its preparation space. Doors open directly to the terrace. Three of the villa’s spacious bedrooms are located on the ground floor, two with kingsize beds and one with twin beds. They share a homely, well-maintained bathroom.
There is another spacious living space on the second floor which is ideal when you have a large group. It means that some guests, perhaps children, can settle down with a movie after a busy beach day and others can plan the next day’s activities with a glass of wine. The living area enjoys direct access to a balcony with a table and chairs, one of your opportunities for alfresco dining or cocktails while enjoying the fabulous views over to the sea and the famous rock. There are three bedrooms on the upper floor, one with twin beds, one with a kingsize bed and one with a double bed. Again, there is a family bathroom to share between the bedrooms.
Casa Gao enjoys lovely outdoor space with a sizeable swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by loungers, the perfect place to enjoy the wonderful sunshine and your holiday read. There is a covered veranda for alfresco dining and a huge, built-in barbecue where you can cook up a feast. There is plenty of space for children to play. There is also a handy outdoor shower.
Casa Gao is a fabulous bet for a comfortable holiday with a large group. With a grocery store around the corner, restaurants and cafes just 1 km away, the most spectacular Playa Arenal only 1.9 km away and the fantastic delights of Calpe only 3 km from the villa, you will enjoy a wonderful holiday at Casa Gao.

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa GaoCasa Gao is located 3 km from Calpe, 1.9 km from the superb Playa Arenal golden sandy beach and is close to the enchanting, rocky La Manzanera Beach. The wonderfully clear, turquoise, calm Costa Blanca waters lap up against 13km of shore in this area. The massive Penon de Ilfach rock features on most postcards and can even be seen from Casa Gao. You can climb the rock to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Either side of the majestic rock are the stunning Cantal-Roig and Arenal beaches. Playa Arenal is the biggest and busiest beach with plenty of watersports, beach bars and organised sun loungers. In the high season, there is a special service to help those with limited mobility to swim. So lovely! Watersport enthusiasts will love Calpe with its endless opportunities to challenge yourselves. At Cala Les Bassetes you can practice kayaking, sailing, diving, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. Cala El Raco is fantastic for snorkeling. Playa La Fossa is the place for jetski enthusiasts. Children just love their beach days and with the combination of golden sand and warm, shallow sea, it will be hard to get them to leave!
The bustling promenade is brimming with delightful restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. You will find that deep-rooted traditions co-exist harmoniously with a buzzing tourist industry in Calpe. You have an excellent choice of gourmet restaurants, comfy tapas bars and buzzy bars that come alive every evening. There is a fabulous, colourful street market which is a great place to pick up local produce as well as souvenirs. The old quarter is protected by the old walls which were constructed in the 15th century to keep the pirates out. The narrow, picturesque, cobbled streets and stairs are adorned with colourful flowers and plants, so utterly charming. You will discover magnificent Instagram-worthy murals around the town. It is very easy to get around Calpe on foot, cycles, scooters and also Segway.
If you can tear yourselves away from the town, the beaches and the villa, the countryside around Calpe is incredibly attractive. Old typical farms can be seen in the surrounding hillsides, surrounded by lush vineyards. The Sierra de Olta Natural Park is a forestry jewel where amazing hikes will be rewarded with fantastic views of the Marina coast from Serra Gelada to Montgo as well as the nearby Sierra de Bernia. Cycling enthusiasts will adore the beautiful, hilly landscape and unparalleled sea views. Professional cycling teams often choose the area as a training camp. The biggest cycling race in Spain often features Calpe and its surroundings. Golf fans are happy too with this location with some excellent courses nearby.

Best Suited For: All AgesCasa Gao is perfect for families. With six bedrooms, you can even invite Grandparents or friends. The villa is incredibly spacious, inside and out with two separate living spaces. Children can watch a movie while the adults enjoy their evening.
Calpe is a brilliant, family friendly resort. The choice of beaches is amazing. Many are vast sandy expanses with plenty of entertainment. The water is perfect, so warm! As well as Playa Arenal being especially amazing for families, Levente Beach is also perfect with its Blue Flag award. There are many coves that you can only get to with a boat, an exciting adventure for children. The watersports on many beaches are amazing and include waterskiing, paddleboarding, diving, kayaking and surfing.
Centro Hipico Calpe is a family friendly stables on the outskirts of Calpe. Children enjoy spending time with the 20 horses and having a ride through the enchanting forest. The stables cater for complete beginners as well as advanced riders. Parents can follow children on their rides, enjoying a lovely walk through the trees.
There are several thrilling water parks a drive away from Calpe. Aqua Natura is a vast, Greek island styled park. The park is divided into two parts, the Terra Natura Zoo and the Agua Natura Water Park. Your thrill-seeking children will enjoy an action-packed day out. On the Cresta ride, they will feel the sensation of weightlessness. There are toboggans and slides of every description. Aqualandia Benidorm, located in the natural park, has the highest toboggan in Europe and the tallest slide-capsule! If you don’t all like the adrenaline rushes, there is a relaxing wave pool or lots of areas to chill.
The Terra Mitica Theme Park will transport you to historic Greece, Egypt and Rome and take your adrenaline to new limits! There are roller coasters, flume rides, a jacuzzi river, water rides as well as shows.
In addition to the exciting theme park and beach days, children enjoy minigolf, hiking, mountain bikes and playgrounds, all within very easy reach of Casa Gao.
