Villa Josefa is a beautiful and well-appointed holiday home, in between the coastal town of Calpe and the hilltop town of Benissa, along the picturesque Costa Blanca. It's situated in a quiet neighbourhood and is a great option for a getaway with a traditional Spanish feel yet close to many amenities.
With a unique style complemented by fine furnishings throughout, Villa Josefa offers a rustic sense to your holiday. The outside space is just as attractive, with a terrace from which to soak up the views. The villa's spacious accommodation is spread over three floors. The main living space is open-plan and has a lovely, relaxing flow to it. A cosy lounge area has a comfortable sofa and chair positioned to take advantage of the impressive fireplace as well as the television. On chilly evenings, throw a log on the fire to create a cosy atmosphere in which to relax with a film or two. A more casual seating area sits underneath beautiful shuttered windows and is the ideal place for reading or chatting. An archway takes you into the dining room with a classic wood table that seats up to six people with a separated seating area to the side. Following on from this space is the well-equipped kitchen with a range of facilities, including an oven, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and juicer. There's also a small table and chairs for those quick breakfasts.
There are a total of five bedrooms, which are all a good size and tastefully furnished. Set over the two upper floors, there are three bedrooms with double beds and a further two bedrooms with separated single beds. This set-up makes Villa Josefa a great option for a large family or two families travelling together. Two bathrooms have both a shower and bathtub each, and a third bathroom has a shower only, and they are spread out over each floor.
Making your way outside, guests can enjoy a large plot that includes terraces with outdoor furniture for relaxing and enjoying al fresco meals, not to mention the large private pool that will be hard not to jump straight into! There's also a barbecue for you to try grilling some local produce for delicious lunches or dinners, and the outdoor kitchen will take all the hassle out of the prep work. This is a great space to sit back underneath the Spanish sun and let your troubles flow away.

About the surrounding area of Villa JosefaVilla Josefa is close to the popular coastal town of Calpe, with its good choice of amenities and facilities. With plenty to do, it's 3 km away from the villa and is a lovely old town with lots to see and do. The main attractions are the Roman ruins and numerous churches, with the winding streets being home to quaint cafes and shops. You're spoilt for choice with beaches, with several areas of sand on which to relax and play with the children. The town is dominated by the rock of Calpe (Penon de Ifach), which rises up from the sea and dominates the skyline. Those with a head for heights can scale the 332m-high summit and spot birds, mammals and reptiles along the way. It's a strenuous walk, but at the top, you'll be rewarded with spectacular sea views, and on a clear day, you'll be able to see the island of Ibiza. Alternatively, head to the marina, where you can take a boat ride around the rock or sail to the nearby town of Benidorm.
Playa la Fustera is less than 10 minutes away by car, meaning days out by the sea are within easy reach. This Blue Flag beach offers fine sand and calm waters, making it ideal for the children to safely explore and play. Hire kayaks and paddle boards for some fun on the water, or simply just splash around in the sea. With such clear water, snorkelling is a popular activity here, and the children will love spotting all sorts of sea life around the rocks by the shore. There's a restaurant nearby that serves delicious food for a leisurely lunch or early dinner.
Playa del Cantal Roig is the best beach to head to if you want to explore the naturally imposing Penyal d'Ifac. This large rock rises out of the sea towards the end of the beach and is home to many rare plants and a varied number of animal species, including seabirds. Its importance in preserving wildlife gave it natural park status, with a trek to the top of this rock allowing for spectacular views over the town and sea.

Best Suited For: All AgesProviding ample space for families with children, Villa Josefa offers flexible living and sleeping accommodation that suits everyone's needs. The large open-plan main space lets you spend time with your loved ones but also has areas for enjoying some quiet moments to yourself. Children will love playing in the swimming pool and having meals outside on the terrace.
Visit Terra Mítica in Benidorm for an adventure and adrenaline-filled day out with the children. It's around a 30-minute drive from the villa, so it's very easy and convenient to reach. This amusement park has varying ancient cultures as themes, with areas dedicated to the ancient Greeks, Romans and more. Alongside the more lively rides, there are plenty of family rides and live shows on offer too.
The seaside town of Calpe is just a 10-minute drive away and offers a choice of beautiful beaches and coves, including Playa Cantal Roig. It's a family-friendly beach located next to the fishing port, and here children of all ages can swim safely in the Mediterranean waters and build sandcastles on the shore. Older children can also try their hand at paddle boarding. Afterwards, enjoy ice cream and refreshments at one of the many beachside restaurants or stroll to the fishing port and watch the day's catch get auctioned off at the market.
Alternatively, pack your snorkel and head to Raco Cove. Here children can explore the seabed and enjoy spotting colourful fish and crabs. Hiking up the 330-metre-high Ifach Rock is not recommended for children, but the whole family can walk around the base of the rock on the paved path.
