For a truly magical holiday to remember, Casa Tauro has got it all. A traditional four-bedroom finca located in Tauro, just minutes from beaches, restaurants, bars and shops, this stylish and modern property offers guests an idyllic and peaceful retreat a stone’s throw away from the island’s bustling tourist scene.
It’s going to be love at first sight when you clap your eyes on Casa Tauro, which is visually stunning both inside and out, from the white-washed exterior walls and wooden shutters to the bright and fresh interior bursting with luxurious high-end features. The villa’s decor is neutral and light throughout, with white walls and accents of grey and cream. The living area is both spacious yet cosy, with sumptuous grey sofas and armchairs, stylish wooden furnishings and a large flat screen TV that has access to streaming services such as Netflix for those moments when you just want to unwind.
The well-equipped kitchen is equally spacious, with plenty of room to prepare meals for the whole family, and comes complete with all of the appliances and utensils you’ll need to cater to you and your guests during your stay, including a fridge-freezer, oven, toaster, coffee machine, and a dishwasher - so there’ll be no arguments over who has to wash up after dinner!
Casa Tauro is ideal for larger families or friendship groups with three double bedrooms and an ample-sized twin - perfect for the kids. Each bedroom is decorated in a neutral colour palette and features plenty of wardrobe space. There are three modern and stylish bathrooms with shower facilities - one of which is accessible from the outside; extra convenient if you are all spending a day in the garden and want to avoid traipsing through the whole villa.
The villa’s grounds are extensive and beautiful, and you’re sure to spend the majority of your time enjoying dining and relaxing in the wide open spaces. There are a covered and fully furnished outside dining terrace and barbecue, which is perfect for alfresco dining or pre-dinner drinks, and loungers for sunning yourself by the pool or reclining with a good book. Casa Tauro’s pool is large at 10 m x 4.5 m and is accessible by ladder rather than Roman steps, which could make it a bit more challenging for younger guests. Having said that, well-supervised children will enjoy splashing about in the cool water and swimming to their hearts’ content, while parents can enjoy the peace of mind that the area is totally secluded and private.
What you should know…
- The villa’s pool is accessible by stainless steel ladder and doesn’t feature a barrier or fence of any kind. Parents will want to be extra cautious when young children are playing nearby.

About the surrounding area of Casa TauroCasa Tauro is ideally located for anyone looking to enjoy a sunny beach holiday, with three of the most popular in the area; Playa del Cura, Playa de Tauro, and Playa de Amadores, just a few minutes drive away from the villa.
Meaning, ‘The Lovers Beach’, nearby Playa de Amadores, looks like a tropical paradise straight out of a movie, with its crescent-shaped shoreline, white sands, palm trees and turquoise waters. Set in a cove and featuring coral sand that never gets too hot, the bay is calm and well-protected from the rougher waves of the open sea. This makes Amadores beach an excellent choice for those who want to swim and paddle, although parents should be aware that as this beach is man-made shallow areas that are safe to walk on are limited.
The area is popular for scuba diving and snorkelling, and it’s no wonder as the clear waters are full of breathtaking beauty. However, we highly recommend heading to the east end of the beach to rent pedalos if you prefer to stay above the water! After a day on the beach, head along the promenade for a leisurely walk and enjoy the stunning views of the cliffs and shimmering blue waters. A morning stroll along the boardwalk will see people jogging or engaging in yoga and other sports, while an evening walk as the sun sets offers a more romantic and laid-back atmosphere.
Playa del Cura is often referred to as one of Gran Canaria’s more undiscovered gems and is notably a lot less crowded than many of the other beaches in the region. This is largely down to its dark, volcanic sands and its lack of a beachfront bar, but this pretty beach more than makes up for it with its convenient location within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops and supermarkets.
You’ll be pleased to know that there is no shortage of incredible restaurants in the region, and whichever type of cuisine you’re craving, you’re almost guaranteed to find it! From traditional Spanish dishes and seafood to European delicacies, burgers, steaks, pizza and vegan and vegetarian options, you’re sure to discover something to suit every palate. Webers restaurant, nestled right on the beach, is the place to go for tapas, ribs and burgers, and for pizza lovers, VIP Pizza always becomes a firm favourite. We recommend making a reservation, as this popular restaurant gets booked up quite quickly, but they do offer a take-out service if you fancy heading back to the villa and enjoying a bite under the stars.

Just like the other Canary Islands, it is blessed with an enviable climate, an eternal springtime that invites you to experience its rich natural and scenic diversity intensely, its lovely fishing and inland villages, its traditions, culture and history. And also the modernity of the tourist resorts and urban hubs, like Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The lively, cosmopolitan city is home to one of the most precious gems the island has to offer, and that also surprises visitors.

The villa is perfectly set up for family life, with spacious rooms, a covered outdoor dining area and added luxuries like a TV with streaming abilities - ideal for keeping the little ones entertained while you prepare meals or plan your day ahead.
Casa Tauro is well located within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants, so family strolls to grab refreshments or explore the local area are going to be stress-free and fun. The island is geared up to families with kids, with plenty of local attractions and a wide range of cuisine available to suit all palates, including burgers, pizzas and pasta dishes alongside more traditional local fare.
The villa is just a short journey from Amadores beach, close to the well-known tourist destinations of Puerto de Mogan and Puerto Rico. The beach is popular with families thanks to its cool, white sands, calm, clear waters, and cleanliness - for which it has been awarded a Blue Flag. Well protected from the elements, the beach is perfect for packing a picnic and staying the whole day, with shade afforded by the plentiful palm trees, and the kids are sure to enjoy the inflatable waterpark near the shore. Family-friendly amenities include beach chair and umbrella hire, and there are also outdoor showers in case you all want to freshen up before heading to one of the nearby cafes or restaurants for some much-needed refreshments. Smoking is forbidden on the beach, which is a nice child-friendly touch, and there are lifeguards and emergency services monitoring the area at all times for your safety and peace of mind.
If you decide to venture further afield to nearby Puerto Rico, we can promise you won’t regret it! There are plenty of hiking trails to enjoy throughout the area’s lush forests; all well-marked, easy to follow and short enough for little legs! Here you’ll be able to get the kids to see what species of wildlife they can spot, including birds, insects, crabs and iguanas. There are some beautiful beaches to explore, many with underwater caves that are perfect for snorkelling, and all with powder-soft sand, shady palms and crystal-clear waters.
