Nestled just 15 minutes from the centre of Cape Town, Cape Zea is located in the highly desirable neighbourhood of Bishopscourt in the most mesmerising scenery!

Just a 20 minute drive away is the V&A Waterfront, an iconic retail and entertainment area right at the foot of Table Mountain with tons of shops, restaurants, markets of all kinds. Within a short walk of here is the Green Point market, tucked just outside the Green Point Stadium. Visit on Sundays to find locals selling all kinds of authentic arts, craft and curios! The Waterfront is also the starting point for almost all tours, cruises and excursions, including the unmissable trip to Robben Island.

In under half an hour you can reach nearly every beach along this terrific coastline, from Clifton and Camps Bay in the north down to Llandudno, Hout Bay and Noordhoek in the south! Each offers something a little different, from vast stretches of white sand to quaint coves, and everything in between.

Meanwhile, the sublime wine lands of Constantia are also right on your doorstep, with your nearest vineyard around 10 minutes away! Constantia is famous for its wine valley, where you can visit some of the oldest vineyards of the Cape. If you’re a fan of wine, you already know South Africa is unmissable – what you might not know is that the Constantia Valley is the oldest winemaking region in the southern hemisphere! In this exquisite valley you will find not only vineyards but also countless excellent restaurants to enjoy along the way! We recommend: Pastis Brasserie, The River Cafe, La Colombe and the Constantia Uitsig Restaurant, all under 15 minutes away!

As well as wine, Cape Town and its surrounding region are major fruit producers and you can enjoy some of the freshest, most delicious fruits around here. As you’d expect, there is also tons of seafood, including yellowtail, cape salmon and kingklip, which are absolutely delicious.

Region

Cape Town is a city of unparalleled natural beauty, cultural diversity, and historical significance. Known for its iconic landmarks, vibrant neighbourhoods, and a rich blend of cultures, it’s a destination that captures the imagination of visitors from around the world.

The city is situated on the Cape Peninsula, flanked by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Indian Ocean to the south. The scenic drive along Chapman's Peak, with its dramatic cliffs and coastal vistas, is a taster of the breathtaking scenery that characterises the region.
The city is framed by the iconic Table Mountain. The mountain not only provides a stunning natural backdrop to the urban landscape, but also offers hiking trails and a cable car ride, allowing visitors to take in panoramic views from the top.

The city’s history is deeply intertwined with the broader narrative of South Africa's struggle against apartheid. Robben Island, located just off the coast, served as a prison for political activists, including Nelson Mandela. Today, the island is a museum and a symbol of South Africa's journey to democracy. Another noteworthy museum is the District Six Museum, which tells the story of a neighbourhood forcibly cleared during apartheid. It serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience of the city’s people in the face of adversity.

Cape Town is a city that constantly evolves and embraces innovation. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is a vibrant hub of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), housed in a repurposed grain silo, stands as a testament to the city's commitment to contemporary artistic expression, showcasing the work of African artists and contributing to the global dialogue on modern art.

The diverse population and rich history of Cape Town is reflected in its diverse culinary scene. From the vibrant flavours of Cape Malay cuisine to the fresh seafood harvested from the surrounding oceans, the city offers a culinary journey that tantalises the taste buds. The Cape Winelands, just a short drive from the city, boast world-renowned vineyards and wine estates, inviting visitors to taste the fruits of the region's fertile soils while taking in views of rolling hills and picturesque landscapes.

From the majestic Table Mountain to the vibrant neighbourhoods steeped in history, from the cultural richness of its people to the modern dynamism of its entrepreneurial spirit, Cape Town is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the beauty that emerges from embracing diversity. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, a history buff, a culinary connoisseur, or someone seeking the pulse of a vibrant city, Cape Town invites you to explore its landscapes and delve into its stories.
