Tucked on a spectacular hillside in the glorious Hout Bay, Cape Kalm is a futuristic, ultra-modern villa with magnificent views and world-class facilities.
These interiors are simply sublime, matching the majestic architecture of this contemporary delight. Expansive living areas fuse seamlessly into the gorgeous garden, creating an airy sense of openness as the sunlight floods through the vast lounge and dazzles across the elegant wood surfaces. Sofas and casual seating provide the perfect spot to get cosy and comfortable, while an impressive dining table for ten is ideal for a formal mealtime together. Your superb kitchen pod is bursting with appliances to make cooking up delicious meals a breeze! For absolute relaxation, there’s even a spa with a sauna, salt bath and massage bed, as well as a wonderful jacuzzi indoors!
There are three gorgeous bedrooms across these two stories. The master suite is elevated above the pool and offers views across the mountains with a huge wall of windows and an incredible terrace where you can catch the sunshine. Meanwhile, the second and third bedrooms enjoy garden views. Each room has a vast king-size bed and plenty of space for getting comfortable. All three are accompanied by superb ensuite facilities. Glass and marble twinkle in the light which streams in across the range of walk-in showers.
Out on your terrace, you’re met immediately by yet more casual seating, with loungers for a little sunbathing and seats and sofas for relaxing and socialising in the fresh air. A huge pool wraps its way around the terrace so you can soak up the sunshine before diving into these cool depths if the heat gets a little much. There’s plenty of space to settle in in comfort around the pool, and everywhere promises breath-taking, sweeping views, so you can’t go wrong! For added peace of mind, there’s even a children’s pool out on the terrace, so the whole family can spend time together in the same place, whatever age!
What you should know…
- There is no load-shedding or water restrictions in Cape Town at the present time, please be conscious about water and electricity use during your stay
- This main swimming pool is extra deep so do take care
- There are countless garden access points to the outdoors so take care if travelling with youngsters

About the surrounding area of Cape KalmTucked in the picturesque suburb of Hout Bay, Cape Kalm is located in a true haven of idyllic scenery, thriving nature and a whole host of activities and opportunities!
At the southernmost end of the Atlantic Seaboard, Hout Bay was once a charming fishing village, and still retains much of its historical character! Its location adds beautifully to its charm – with the sharp peak of The Sentinel rising dramatically into the air like a rhino horn right beside it, framing it against the more undulating mountain scenery. A range of seafood restaurants, lively markets and fascinating nearby beaches complete with seals and all kind of wildlife make this is a superb base for your holiday!
Right on the southern edge of Hout Bay is the sublime Chapman’s Peak, with the start of the world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive just 5 minutes away from the villa! The drive is world-renowned for its natural beauty and engineering achievement and affords drivers the most enchanting views across the sea as you enjoy its slick road!
If it’s a slightly slower pace you’re looking for, you can head out for a unique and unforgettable dining experience at the newly revamped The Lawns At The Roundhouse. Set in the forests of oak and pines at nearby Camps Bay with a huge, atmospheric outdoor seating area, this spot is perfect for all times of the day. With a full à la carte menu from breakfast until the cocktails are flowing at the evening parties, this is an unmissable experience for the foodies of the group.
Meanwhile, an unforgettable day out is a trip to Robben Island, the Maximum Security Prison where political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela, were held during the apartheid. The tour begins at the V&A Waterfront and includes not only a tour of the prison itself but also meeting a former political prisoner and a tour of the 575-hectare Island which often includes sightings of penguins!

There’s not only an extra deep swimming pool for splashing and diving and enjoying the sunshine; there’s even a children’s pool for the youngsters to enjoy their own space in safety. With loungers set up across the terrace, you can be right by their side keeping a close eye on them whilst enjoying total comfort, with all the family together across this spectacular terrace!
You’re also in the perfect place to see the world-famous Table Mountain. To get up you can either take the cable car or a 2 to 3-hour steep hike, and right at the top 2km of paths can be wandered giving you panoramic views of the city and Table Bay. There’s even a restaurant up here for dining with a view! The Table Mountain National Park itself comprises several areas of interest along the peninsula, including Cape Hope and Cape Point, and is bursting with fascinating wildlife including ostriches, antelopes and baboons, and of course breath-taking scenery!
