The villa is over a century old and has been lovingly restored to provide up to thirteen guests with four distinctive, characterful suites, a private wine cellar and a luxurious spa complete with two saunas. Boasting an abundance of contemporary charm whilst conserving the property’s original grandeur and glamour, Bled Residence is the perfect place to gather your loved ones together for a holiday surrounded by spectacular natural beauty and bespoke modern comforts.

Upon entering Bled Residence, guests will be greeted by an expansive open-plan space featuring a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a delightful dining area, where you can take part in an intimate wine tasting experience with a local sommelier, organised by the villa’s attentive hosts. A large island takes centre stage in the contemporary kitchen, while an elegant walnut dining table provides the ideal spot for everyone to gather together and discuss the day’s adventures over a delicious meal. This space is bathed in abundant natural light, featuring direct access to the charming outdoor terrace.

Through an elegant ground-floor foyer, the suite’s inviting master bedroom can be found. Featuring a sumptuous king-size bed, exposed brickwork, a freestanding bathtub and access to the outside terrace, the bedroom also offers a spacious bathroom with a double basin and a walk-in shower. The bathroom connects the master bedroom to a second bedroom featuring a fold-down queen-size bed that sleeps two additional guests.

A private brass staircase leads to a charming first-floor suite for two more guests to enjoy. Featuring a well-appointed kitchen and a small library and lounge space that connects to a covered balcony with dreamlike vistas of Lake Bled, as well as a modern bedroom with a king-size bed and a flatscreen TV, this is a relaxing alpine oasis with effortless décor that reflects the serene atural beauty of Bled Residence’s surroundings. The en-suite bathroom includes a spacious walk-in shower.

Another welcoming suite on the first floor accommodates up to three guests, with a stylish kitchen that offers enchanting lake and castle views. The kitchen connects to a compact lounge area with a sofa bed and a large flatscreen TV, while the master bedroom boasts understated furnishings, a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Bled Residence’s expansive top-floor suite is a split-level, open-plan space that flows seamlessly from a bright and airy kitchen and dining area with a minimalist design into a lounge with a comfortable sofa and two relaxation corners, perfect for unwinding with atmospheric views over the magical waters of Lake Bled. The suite’s master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, another sumptuous sofa and a freestanding bathtub, while the bathroom provides a walk-in shower.

Ascending a short, steep flight of stairs, guests will find a charming, cosy nook – an attic bedroom nestled beneath vaulted timber beams. Here, there is a queen-size bed, with roof lights offering romantic starry skies at night and panoramic views of the surrounding area during the day.

The luxurious spa at Bled Residence features a large Finnish sauna as well as a Turkish sauna. Here, guests can indulge in the ultimate moment of relaxation, with a wellness lounge offering tranquil views of the villa’s garden. Two showers and a bathroom are also located on the lower ground floor, just a few steps away from the villa’s private wine cellar, which features a range of excellent Slovenian wines showcasing the country’s rich wine culture.

With enchanting views of Lake Bled and the magnificent Bled Castle, which itself dates back to the eleventh century, Bled Residence offers the ideal base from which to discover the magical town of Bled on foot. For those who wish to explore a little further afield, the majestic Julian Alps and Kamniško-Savinjske Alps await you, as well as the diverse landscapes of greater Slovenia.

For those who wish to spend their days discovering the glacial wonders of Bled, you can walk for approximately twenty-five minutes to reach the dazzling lakeside. Here, you can enjoy a range of hiking trails that vary in intensity and provide a seemingly endless array of scenic swimming spots and photo opportunities! Pack a picnic and make your way to the remarkable tear-shaped island at the centre of the lake by rowboat or by arranging a trip in a traditional wooden boat called a pletna. Once you arrive, visit the island’s pretty church and take in the views before finding the perfect spot to enjoy the delicious local produce you packed for your lunch. Alternatively, the island is also home to a charming café, where you can indulge in a mouthwatering Bled cream cake and a well-earned cup of coffee.

Later on, take your time exploring Bled’s spectacular castle, perched high on a cliffside above the lake. The castle was elegantly restored during the 1950s and today it hosts a museum in the upper courtyard, a tower gallery featuring monthly exhibitions, a memorial room dedicated to Arnold Rikli and a boutique shop called the Castle Beehive, where visitors can purchase souvenirs and delicious, locally produced honey. A wide range of cultural events take place in Bled Castle during the summer months, including medieval markets which give visitors a glimpse into the town’s colourful history.

Your friendly hosts will be happy to help you arrange mountain bike rentals so that you can explore the verdant hills and countryside that surround Bled. There are e-bike tours around the lake, or for those who prefer to spend their time out on the water, popular activities include kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and canyoning. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, why not ask your hosts about a hot air balloon flight over the lake’s dazzling green waters?

Those who prefer to keep their feet planted firmly on the ground will enjoy Bled’s lively atmosphere and gastronomic experiences. The stunning natural sights of Triglav National Park can be reached within forty minutes by car, while Vintgar Gorge, Bohinj Lake and the Pokljuka Plateau are even closer to home. The vibrant city streets of Ljubljana are just half an hour’s drive away. From the lush greens of the hills in spring and the refreshing summertime waters of Lake Bled, to enchanting autumnal hiking views in Triglav National Park and fairytale snow scenes come winter, the beauty of this Alpine setting is sure to captivate visitors time and time again.

Security deposit €2500 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before/upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price. EV charging is an additional 20€ per car, per day (paid locally).
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit
Internet access? Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is included in rental price. It is good to note that the speed is dependent on the local provider and technical issues may cause reduced speed or cut of service.

Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted. Guests found in the act of or with evidence of smoking indoors of the villa will incur a 250€ fine per occurrence.
Tax Tourist tax (3.13€ per person, per day) is not included in the rental price and will be charged in cash on arrival.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
