Chalet Sable is a charming wood-clad property located in a quiet area of old Meribel. Brilliantly located nearby the well known and glamorous Chez Kiki Bar and Restaurant and a short walk from the Morel chairlift, Chalet Sable truly offers the best of both worlds in terms of a quiet but convenient location.

Chalet Sable is an ideal choice for families or groups of friends looking for comfort and great access to skiing in one of the world's leading ski resorts at the heart of the three valleys.

The chalet is decorated in a modern traditional style, oozing with alpine charm. The fabulous open plan living area has a warming open fireplace providing the perfect setting to relax after a hard day on the mountain.

The chalet is run by a host who lives out, but close enough to be handy if you ever find yourself needing advice or assistance.

Chalet Sable's proud owner has decorated it in modern yet traditionally-styled furniture and fittings and it just oozes Alpine charm. The wonderful open plan living/dining room has a great fireplace to warm you right up after skiing - ff you're looking for the ultimate in Savoyarde style, then look no further.

Map, Location & Local Information

Famous charm-filled resort Meribel is perfectly positioned in the heart of the world renowned Three Valley ski area. Chalet Sable, being in Meribel, has access to around 600km of pistes and endless off-piste skiing. Meribel is known for retaining its Alpine charm in contrast to other purpose built French ski resorts, all of the buildings are beautiful chalet-style wood and stone.

Meribel is popular with both British and French holidaymakers alike. The resort offers excellent nightlife, restaurants and bars as well as a wealth of other activities. If you fancy a quieter alternative, why not try Mottaret, 4km up the hill from bustling Meribel.

The Resort

Méribel may well be the picture-postcard idea of a ski resort, thanks mainly to the insistence on maintaining chalet-style architecture throughout the town – you won’t find any concrete or tacky blocks of flats here. This gives Méribel a quaint, almost fairytale atmosphere, and it’s easily the most romantic looking of the resorts around the Trois Vallées.

Having said that, the snow at Méribel may not be quite as challenging or as robust as that found at Chamonix or Courchevel, and while there’s a great mix of difficulties for all skiers (and undoubtedly many miles of piste) the afternoon sun can cut things short on west-facing slopes – and untouched powder is rare unless you’re willing to get up at the crack of dawn. That’s not to say that the skiing at Méribel is bad (quite the opposite), it’s just that what the resort might lack in piste perfection it more than makes up for with other amenities – including a fantastic lift system that will rarely leave anyone waiting.

The après-ski scene at Méribel is also top-notch, but that’s hardly surprising considering many of the bars are owned and run by ex-pat Brits (who certainly know how to party!) A night on the tiles can err on the expensive side, but if you’re looking to let your hair down and have a truly electrifying night you’ll be well served.

 - Closest airport: Chambery is the closest airport to Méribel at just over 60 miles away, with transfers to the resort starting at around €36 for a one-way coach trip.

The managers of this beautiful chalet offer a unique catering system whereby clients can choose to be fully catered, part catered or self catered depending on their requirements.

We can guarantee your chef (should you desire one) will love cooking and will be proud to provide you with excellent food and service. If you opt for a catered option then Chalet Sable can guarantee good, hearty and wholesome meals, perfect after a hard day on the slopes. Your menu will include a variety of options including local dishes as well as traditional English favourites such as roast dinners, lasagne and casseroles.

Fully Catered Holidays include:
- Champagne & Canapes on your first evening
- Cooked breakfasts (bacon, egg, tomato & mushrooms), fresh croissants & local bread with selection of jams, cereal, muesli, yoghurts, fresh fruit, filter coffee & tea (6 days – simple continental breakfast available on host day off)
Freshly-baked cakes for afternoon tea with local bread & selection of jams, coffee, tea and hot chocolate (7 days)
- Pre-dinner canapés served with house wines* (6 days)
- 3-course evening meal served with various dinner wines*, cheese course and fresh coffee and mints to finish (6 days)
- Wine: Please note that there will be plenty of red, white and rose house wine available for your use however specially selected dinner wines are limited and designed to be served with your evening meal only. If you would like to upgrade your wines, we offer a comprehensive Wine List which can be pre-booked and delivered directly to your chalet. Please note that we require at least 2 weeks notice so we advise you to enquire about this option to upgrade at the time of booking.

We would ask that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

A) Single Meal Service: A chef will travel to this villa and whip up a fantastic meal for you and your guests. The chef will arrive with all the necessary ingredients as well as the talent to turn them into something unforgettable. They’ll serve the meal and clear up afterwards - an easy and entertaining way to enjoy a top quality meal in your very own villa!

B) Full Chef Service: If you really want to kick back and relax, we can arrange for a chef to cater for the duration of your holiday (or part of it). With a range of options from simple family catering to full-on haute cuisine, we can organise a meal plan and a price to suit your needs. So why worry about self-catering when you can have everything taken care of?
