Welcome to Chalet Sibyla, a lovely recently renovated freestanding chalet in a quiet spot within the hamlet of Les Tines and equidistant from both Chamonix and Argentiere. The picture postcard chalet offers a really authentic mountain setting with mountain river running past a romantic local chapel.

Entering ground floor there is a large hall incorporating ski room. Continue and you will encounter the open plan living area incorporating the kitchen with dining and sitting areas. The space is perfectly suited to relaxing in comfortable chairs around the fireplace, with large windows offering breathtaking views of Mont Blanc. The chalet also features a spacious cellar/basement with washing machine and tumble dryer.

On the first floor, both of the bedrooms have French windows leading to a balcony with the identical beautiful views. Second floor bedrooms are under eaves, first one being a double featuring a free standing bath and basin while the other one is a smaller twin bedroom with a basin.

Outside terrace is fully decked and has a hot tub, spacious garden is also south facing, both offering wonderful views. There is also a garage with plenty of space, tucked in on the right hand side.

The Resort

Chamonix is often preceded by its own reputation. As one of the most famous ski resorts in the world, it has visitors travelling from all corners of the world to experience the epic runs year after year. The Chamonix town centre, also known as Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, is an endlessly inviting little city with enough going on to entertain skiers and non-skiers alike for weeks on end. For those travelling from the UK, it is fabulously easy to reach. You can drive straight from Calais by motorway and be set up in a gorgeous chalet in less than half a day.

The Chamonix Valley encompasses five main ski areas on four different mountains (with easy transfers in between). You can get yourself a single-resort lift pass or one that encompasses the whole valley. If you go with the latter option you’ll even have access to the Italian side of the valley in Courmayeur. The wider area encompasses 106 pistes at up to 3842m altitude and unparalleled off-piste runs. 

Most of Chamonix’s ski areas are best suited to those who already feel at home on a pair of skis. Beginners definitely won’t get as much out of this valley as those who are comfortable tackling a black run. But that’s not saying Chamonix is unromantic by any means. There is incredible scenery for everyone to enjoy, from non-skiers to experts, and nature lovers will fall in love with the Chamonix in summer too. Ski season, however, often lasts until mid-March.

Once the skiing is over at the end of the day you’ll still find plenty to keep you occupied in town. There is an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from, ranging from Michelin starred fine dining to street food that will line your stomach for the après-ski (and rest assured there are dozens of great bars and clubs to choose from!)

There is not a better place like Chamonix to introduce your family to skiing.  Recently have been opened a lot of beginner and intermediate ski areas have been opened. In Chamonix itself, the nursery slopes at Les Planards and Le Savoy with their attendant ski schools are a great draw for young families.

End of stay cleaning included? No, there is a charge of €150 payable locally in cash. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Changeover day Sunday. All other changeover days on request.
Smoking Allowed? Outside only
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, public liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
