What Oliver loves…
- The beamed living space with open log fire is both spacious and cosy
- Each bedroom boasts luxurious ensuite facilities
- The outdoor Jacuzzi is the perfect place to unwind
- The village centre with its shops, bars and restaurants is just a short walk away
Spacious and full of character, Chalet La Biche occupies a fantastic position within the Courchevel 1650. You're close to resort centre, as well as escalator that will get you to the slopes with ease. This fully-catered, free-standing chalet is perfect for large groups and families looking for a cosy place to return to after a long day on the slopes.
There's a mix of the modern and the traditional throughout Chalet La Biche, with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. As well as featuring beautifully designed living spaces and bedrooms, there's some great outside space to enjoy at this charming chalet too.
The main space with its wood beams and abundance of natural materials offers open-plan living/dining. Providing welcoming warmth to all gatherings in the lounge area is a stunning open log fire, which can be fully appreciated from the comfort of an ideally-placed sofa or armchair. The dining space with two generous-sized tables ensures that mealtimes are always lively and sociable occasions.
A fully-equipped kitchen is where the catering really comes into its own, with services such as cooked ir continental breakfasts and three-course evening meals. Further treats for your enjoyment at Chalet La Biche include champagne and canapés upon arrival and departure, afternoon teas and a selection of house wines.
There are six en-suite bedrooms in total, with all offering the perfect cosy environment to drift off and awake the next morning refreshed and ready for new adventures. As each bedroom has its own bathroom facilities, everyone can enjoy starting and ending the days with a warming shower or bath. Some of the bedrooms also have outside space to enjoy, with direct balcony access. Another lovely way to make the most of your time here as you soak up the calming atmosphere is by relaxing in the outdoor Jacuzzi.
Wander into the nearby village with its range of shops, bars and restaurants and soak up the friendly atmosphere. Courchevel 1650 is popular with visitors looking for a slightly quieter experience compared to that provided by the exclusive hotels and buzzing nightclubs of the famous 1850 village above.
Courchevel offers some of the best snow conditions in the whole Three Valleys area, with runs to suit all abilities and ages. You can also try activities such as hot air ballooning, tobogganing and husky sleigh rides.

Chalet La Biche is in a prime position within Courchevel 1650, with easy access to main lift via ski escalator. The Courchevel resort as a whole is made up of several different villages, each with its own atmosphere and feel. The village of Courchevel 1650 is more laidback than the lively highest level of 1850 (3km), which means it's particularly ideal for families. There's also a supermarket just a few minutes' walk away for picking up essentials.
Restaurants range from pizzerias to fine-dining bistros, so there's something to suit every taste. Despite not being quite as buzzing as Courchevel 1850, the village still offers a good night scene. There are plenty of bars to enjoy après-ski, with some featuring live music and others having a distinct party feel.
The snow at the Courchevel resort is some of the best in the Three Valleys ski area. It boasts many north-facing slopes and runs to suit all levels. As well as skiing, you can also try snowboarding and tobogganing. Other activities on offer include husky sledding and hot air ballooning.
There's also the Aquamotion centre with its indoor and outdoor swimming pools, children's play area, climbing wall, spa rooms and much more besides. The Forum in Courchevel 1850 is home to a shopping mall, bowling alley and ice skating rink - meaning that children can be kept entertained no matter the weather outside!
As well as offering sophisticated shopping, Courchevel 1850 also gives you the chance to spot some of the rich and famous! Many big names are known to come here for the top-quality skiing and to stay in the luxury hotels.

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.
The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.
With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.
In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.
A ski school that offers group and private lessons is just a 10-minute walk away from the chalet. It caters for all ages and abilities, so it's perfect for the whole family. You'll find many other schools dotted all over the resort too.
The Aquamotion centre is a fantastic place to spend a few hours away from the slopes, with something to keep everyone entertained. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, a climbing wall, children's play area – and spa rooms for the adults to unwind!
Children will love the experience of husky sledding through the snowy, forested landscapes of Courchevel.
