Surrounded by white sandy dunes and just minutes from a beautiful beach, Casa Esposende is a comfortably spacious villa that takes its name from the nearby town situated on the picturesque Costa Verde in northern Portugal.

Tastefully styled with furnishings that create a home-from-home feel, Casa Esposende also showcases some sleek modern designs that make this a perfect villa for entertaining guests as well as for relaxing with family. Located so close to the beach, Casa Esposende offers stunning views over the dunes and out to the bright blue sea beyond.

The open plan living room is a flexible space for everyone to enjoy, with cozy seating, a television and DVD player. Sharing this ground floor area is a stylish dining table and chairs, well-positioned in front of large patio doors that open straight out to a terrace area. Conveniently located next to the open plan living area is a fully fitted, modern kitchen with all the facilities available to cook those special meals, as well as for preparing quick snacks. Sharing bathrooms are two light and airy bedrooms, with one being a twin and the other a double.

To the first floor is a master double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and doors leading out to a private balcony. A second double bedroom is similarly appointed, meaning every morning can start with glorious views of the sea. There's also a studio with the sofa bed that will sleep, one adult or two children. The villa offers plenty of entertainment options for all, including several televisions, a stereo, internet access, and even a football table for more competitive types.

The outdoor space includes a terrace with tables and chairs and a barbeque area that's perfect for cooking some local seafood. There's also a private pool and mature garden in which to unwind and relax.

One of the best beaches on the Costa Verde and Esposende town centre are both just a short walk away from the villa. The beach is awarded with the Blue Flag for high environmental and quality standards every year, meaning you can stroll along the sand with peace of mind against an idyllic backdrop. Surfing is a particularly popular activity with watersports lovers, as is stand up paddleboarding and windsurfing.

Located within the Northern Littoral Natural Park, there are many walks to enjoy in Esposende. A selection of marked trails will see you passing dunes, windmills, oak woodlands and marshes as you explore the town. The Cávado River estuary borders the beach, with its riverside boulevard being home to a well-equipped leisure centre and the Maritime Museum. In addition to having a rich fishing heritage, Esposende is also a town of historical interest. The 17th-century church and a museum that explores the town's fascinating past are well worth visiting.

You'll find numerous supermarkets, bars and restaurants dotted throughout Esposende, making the town very family-friendly and ideal for soaking up the this region's unique atmosphere. Enjoy the long, light evenings by strolling into one of the many seafood restaurants to sample some local produce, such as octopus and shellfish.

Porto is Portugal's second-largest city and approximately 50 km south of Esposende. With numerous historical attractions to visit during the day and vibrant nightlife that lights up the city as the sun goes down, Porto is a ideal destination for more lively day trips.

Families with children are rest assured that Casa Esposende is a safe holiday home in which to explore and have fun. The garden and pool are walled, with both privacy and security in mind. Having a double room alongside a twin on the ground floor means being able to keep an eye on the children, whilst letting them enjoy some independence. Older children will particularly enjoy the studio with sofa bed.

Just moments from the beach, Piscinas Foz do Cávado is a sports complex with both an outdoor and indoor pool. There's also a jacuzzi that the whole family will enjoy. For children more into nature, a guided birdwatching experience on the Cávado River estuary will give them a great insight into the local flora and fauna. Horse riding is another activity for everyone to get involved in and is a great way to see Esposende from a different perspective.
