Apartment Constancia is conveniently located in Lisbon’s bustling city centre.  Public transport is by far the most affordable and efficient way to get around the city, and there are plenty of buses, trams, and metro stations located near the apartment. What’s quite extraordinary about the location is your proximity to the iconic square, Praça do Comércio – just minutes from your doorstep! Nestled alongside the bank of the splendid Tagus River, the square’s impressive architecture and stunning views are bound to leave a lasting impression on any traveller.

Praça do Comércio is also brimming with rich history. The square used to be the famous Ribeira Palace, which was destroyed in the 18th century. Charming yellow painted buildings and cobbled streets hark back to Portugal’s glorious history. You’ll be captivated by the grand architecture, including the statue of King Dom José I, which stands at the centre of the square. The scenic riverfront location is also a bustling hub for eating, drinking and shopping, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops to suit every taste.

Also in the square, you’ll find the Arco de Rua Augusta, which leads to Rua Augusta, one of the main shopping streets in Lisbon. Located in the Baixa neighbourhood, Rua Augusta is a lively street paved with Portuguese mosaic tiles, the perfect spot for a leisurely wander and browse. You’ll find a wide variety of shops selling everything from souvenirs to high-end designer clothing, as well as plenty of cafes and restaurants for when you fancy a bite to eat. Make sure to try some traditional Portuguese cuisine while you're here, such as bacalhau (salted cod) or pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart). A recommendation in the area is Cafe Nicola, which has been open since 1779 and is famous for its hot chocolate and pastries.

When you book a stay at Apartment Constancia, you’ll be fortunate enough to stay in the unique European gem that is Lisbon. A truly wonderful city that captures the vibrant essence of Portugal, Lisbon boasts countless historic buildings, including the iconic Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Both UNESCO World Heritage sites, you’ll love spending an afternoon, or even an entire day exploring these historical spots.

Lisbon isn’t just for history buffs of course, and one of the best ways to experience the city’s culture is through its many festivals and events. The Santo António Festival, which takes place in June, is a vibrant celebration of the city's patron saint and includes street parties, parades, and plentiful amounts of delicious food and drink! Lisbon is also renowned for its lively nightlife, and you won’t be short of bars around your apartment to hop into for a bit of authentic music and a few cocktails! Overall, Lisbon is a city that has something for every traveller, from stunning architecture to rich history, delicious food and lively culture. What are you waiting for? Book your stay at Apartment Constancia to experience the countless delights of the city of the seven hills!
