What Oliver loves…
- The location of Villa Lianor means that guests can enjoy wonderful, fresh seclusion amid greenery whilst being only moments from all essential amenities - not least of which is the wonderful beach
- Outdoor family living is designed to perfection here, with every detail covered: pool and outdoor shower, built-in barbecue, an array of day-beds, loungers and outdoor furniture, playground space for children and table tennis room
- The interiors of this villa provide a wonderful blend of laid back comfort, with a home-like feel, whilst also offering every touch of modern luxury
Villa Lianor is a majestic, spectacular villa with a striking, contemporary exterior set in luscious private grounds on the intriguing Tróia Peninsula, just moments from a golden stretch of beach.
This home casts an impressive, commanding silhouette - modern, impeccably presented with the art of outdoor living designed with panache and flair, guests will find their every need is met.
The living areas are set over an airy, open-plan space, finished tastefully while being sympathetic to the local style with exposed traditional stone, terracotta tiles and open fireplace. Understated luxury is the tone of the villa - a laid-back vibe ideal for families or groups, while every little touch of comfort has been thoughtfully considered.
With ample, comfortable seating and large dining space, guests will immediately relax into the local pace of life; the villa is infused with natural light, while indoor and outdoor living merges seamlessly by large French windows.
Ambient lighting, natural accents of ochre tones and that beautiful local stone give this villa a very authentic feel. The kitchen is large, sleek and well equipped with top range appliances, Villa Lianor blends luxury with a cosy, home-like feel.
This home can accommodate twelve guests, over six bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms offer double beds, while the sixth comes with twin beds - perhaps the latter is an excellent choice for youngsters in the group! Each bedroom has its distinct accents of colour and beautiful views - the family can spread out here.
Villa Lianor comes into its own when it comes to outdoor spaces. Outdoor living is made to perfection here, with the built-in barbecue, children outdoor play area, beautiful green lawns and lush flowering plants, palm trees and fragrant pine trees, guests will find they slip into the Mediterranean way of living.
There is ample terrace space, shaded for al fresco dining, with chic and quality outdoor furniture - beautiful dining spaces, large comfortable sofas, hammocks and day beds. There is a daybed gazebo in the shaded end of the lawn space, as well as a charming balcony that leads from the kitchen.
The gardens are immaculately maintained, and the fantastic pool sets the space off to perfection. Imagine sitting back as the sun goes down on the terrace with a glass of local wine, looking across the beautiful lawns!
If a spacious, comfortable yet luxurious family space is what you are after, where every detail has been covered, on the doorstep to some of Portugal’s most beautiful beaches, look no further!

Located ten kilometres from Comporta, on the Tróia Peninsula, Villa Lianor provides a beautiful base to one of the most exciting and vibrant parts of Portugal.
Comporta is Portugal’s answer to St Tropez; it has a chic laid-back vibe with wonderful restaurants and pristine sands backed by windswept dunes - a designer’s haven.
This region of Portugal is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, whether it be canoeing, snorkelling, diving or surfing, the area is a water lovers paradise.
The beauty of the Lisbon coast is that it provides a breezy escape from the capital, whilst being home to some of Portugal’s historic jewels, which attract thousands of visitors: the ancient walled town of Obidos, the 12th century monastery at at Alcobaca, the Catholic pilgrimage site of Fatima, and the fairytale palaces of Sintra.
There are many attractive towns to visit along the Lisbon coast, such as the beautiful former fishing village of Cascais, the vibrant resort town of Estoril, or the surfer’s paradise Carcavelos or romantic town of Sintra.
Taking the Atlantic road from Ericeira to Peniche, down to the pretty, well-heeled town of Comporta, visitors will come across small harbour villages, hilltop castles, estuary reserves with flocks of flamingoes and mile upon mile of beach.
Sintra deserves mention; perched above wooded slopes, it is known for its turreted palaces, the most famous being the ornate Palacio Nacional and the pink and yellow Palacio da Pena. The town’s cool hilltop air has long attracted writers, artists and poets.

This holiday villa is one of the most family-friendly that a guest will come across! With the all-important WIFI/ satellite television/ DVD for the youngster in need of downtime, through to table tennis room, to the outdoor mini playground, this home is safe and well equipped for families.
The beautiful lawns are safe, secluded and offer ample space. The multiple eating spaces will mean children gain a taste for outdoor dining, and the massive choice of large and airy bedrooms will provide plenty of options when the midday heat gets too much, and a siesta is in order.
The pool will provide hours of splashy fun, and when children tire of this - there is the beach just a short distance away along with cafes and ice cream parlours. The region is dense with activities including canoeing, sailing, riding and water sports.
Boat trips on the Sado Estuary - the river that separates the regional capital of Setubal from the Troja Peninsula - a tapestry of bright salt flats and aquamarine water are a great family activity. Children will delight in the flocks of flamingoes and dolphins who hunt and breed in its fish-rich waters.
Grutas de Mire da Aire boasts vast caves beneath the town; children will find this a mystical experience. Giant stalactites and stalagmites all with unusual names are illuminated by eery lighting! Little imaginations will be set alight here!
Whether it be horse-riding, tennis, trekking in beautiful pine forests or discovering a new beach each day, children of all ages will be superbly entertained in this part of Portugal and will have the most wonderful holiday home to return to at the end of the day.

We had two weeks in this villa in August. It is a lovely villa, with lots of space and a good big kitchen and outdoor barbecue space at the back. The pool is not very big, but it's ok as long as you don't have lots of big teenagers. The surrounding area is fantastic with really beautiful beaches and places to eat out in Comporta as well. The villa manager was brilliant, very helpful with every question we had. There are only four sun beds, but the villa sleeps 10, so just be aware of that. We had a really great holiday and the villa is right opposite a great little shop with cafe and bakery selling fresh coffee and croissants etc. We definitely recommend this villa for families with children.
