The delightful Villa Nando is within proximity of the centre of the bustling Vilamoura, its beautiful marina and its fabulous beaches. With five bedrooms, this spacious villa sleeps 10 guests. It offers a large garden surrounded by lush greenery, a fabulous swimming pool and two lounge areas.
Vilamoura is one of the Algarve’s favourite resorts. It boasts incredible nightlife, a fantastic gastronomic scene, excellent beaches and many sports activities. Surrounding Vilamoura, there are charming, traditional Portuguese villages and towns to visit, such as Loule, Almancil and Faro Old Town and some fabulous theme and water parks. Golf fans will be very impressed by the quality and number of championship courses close by.
Villa Nando is traditional in style, through the bathrooms and kitchen are modern. The rooms are very spacious, and the unusual arrangement of having a living room on both levels will suit two families so that they can enjoy a little time alone or youngsters can have some of their own space. On the ground floor, you will find an open plan living and dining room enjoying hints of gold and ruby red to brighten the white walls. Squishy sofas surround the feature fireplace, and double doors open to the fabulous garden and pool area. The kitchen is generous in size and modern in design with excellent appliances for your self-catering holiday. Three of the five bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one with a double bed and two with twin beds. The modern family bathroom is fully tiled and offers a walk-in shower.
The first floor is home to the master suite with its double bed and ensuite bathroom with a bath and a twin bedroom. There is another excellent family shower room as well as a small living room.
Visitors will very much enjoy the outside space at Villa Nando. The private swimming pool is large at 9m x 4m and is surrounded by loungers for the whole group. There are lush lawns, and the plot is bordered by lovely mature trees offering dappled shade. Alfresco dining can be enjoyed using the villa’s barbecue, and there is private parking for 2 cars. This is a comfortable base in an excellent location, where you can enjoy the privacy and tranquillity of the villa yet are within easy reach of the amazing facilities and attractions that Vilamoura has to offer.
What you should know…
- One of the twin bedrooms has beds as different heights and is probably more suited to children
- The villa enjoys two living spaces, one on the ground floor and the other on the first. This may be very useful so that children can enjoy a separate space.
- Although it is 2km to the main centre of Vilamoura, there are shops and restaurants very close to the villa
- Three of the bedrooms are downstairs. This may be helpful if you have any less mobile guests

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa NandoVilla Nando is located in a quiet development in Vilamoura. There are restaurants and supermarkets very close to the villa with the actual centre of Vilamoura being 2km away. The beach is a short drive of 3km away.
Vilamoura is very popular with sports fans. There are no less than six renowned golf courses very close by, including the Victoria, Laguna, Millenium, Pinhal, the famous Old Course, and Vila Sol. The Algarve enjoys its position as one of the finest golf destinations of the world, with the Portugal Masters taking place every year at the Victoria Golf Course. The Old Course is the second oldest golf course in the Algarve and enjoys a stunning pinewood setting. Other sports available include horse riding, football, tennis, cycling and a huge array of watersports offered on the beaches.
Vilamoura Marina was awarded International Marina of the Year 2019/2020 by The Yacht Harbour Association and hosted prestigious events. The 420 World Championship has been held at Vilamoura, with over 500 sailors from 35 countries competing for nine days. Vilamoura offers mooring and facilities for day-cruisers and glamorous super-yachts. The marina is lined with upmarket restaurants and glitzy bars. It is very busy in the evenings. Visitors can take a variety of boat trips from the marina.
Vilamoura enjoys two sensational beaches, several of the areas leading spas, an eclectic dining scene with over one hundred restaurants to choose from, beach clubs, professional DJ’s electrifying the audience nightclubs and a famous casino.
The quaint Portuguese market town of Loule is the perfect place for souvenir shopping in its Arabic inspired market. You can also buy local produce and freshly caught fish in the market. The Gothic Igreja Matriz Church is very striking. Close to Loule, you will find the magical Quinta da Tor where you can taste and buy some delicious authentic Algarvian wines. The pottery village Almancil and the neighbouring village of Sao Lourenco are very popular with tourists. The Sao Lourenco Church is one of the most attractive churches in the Algarve. This mesmerising church is adorned with characteristic blue tiles dating back to 1730, which tell the life story of its patron saint.

ABOUT THE ALGARVE
Though most people tend to see the Algarve as all about the beaches and a holiday on the Med, there’s far much more to it than that. There’s actually a load of fascinating culture and history, superb cuisine and enthralling adventures to be had, though we’d be the first to admit that the beaches are pretty special too, with lots of sand, spectacle and wonderfully clean water.
But while you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Algarve, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Nando is ideal for families. Children will adore the garden and swimming pool. This area of the Algarve benefits from many excellent beaches suited to families. Vilamoura’s Praia da Falesia and Praia de Quarteira enjoy huge expanses of sand and plenty of watersports to keep children happy. You can also head further along the coast towards Faro, and don’t forget the stunning beaches of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. They may be a little further to travel, but it is all part of the adventure to take a little boat over to the tiny islands for an idyllic beach day.
There are some excellent opportunities for horse riding through the gorgeous countryside and on the beach. How memorable would a trot along on the beach be! The Vilamoura Equestrian Centre enjoys outstanding facilities. The arenas and competition areas host some excellent shows which are very entertaining. Pinetrees Riding Stables offers tuition for riders from 4 years old to 70 years old through pine forests, on the beaches and also through the Ludo Valley’s orange groves.
Zoomarine is a popular attraction. The zoo is focused on environmental education as well as family fun. It boasts a renowned rehabilitation centre for marine life. Children enjoy many shows, rides, slides and a variety of swimming pools. They will watch dolphin, sea lion and bird of prey presentations. If you book in advance, you can enjoy close contact with dolphins in the pool at Dolphin Emotions.
There are several water parks to visit, including Aquashow Park at Quarteira, which boasts the biggest water coaster in Europe and many other water-based attractions, rollercoasters, and performances. Aqualand and Slide and Splash also enjoy excellent reputations.
Almancil Karting has an excellent range of go-karts for children of all ages. There is a small track for 3-5-year-olds, 120cc karts for children aged 6 and over and more powerful karts for older children and adults. Parents can also ride with very young children in two-seater karts. As well as karting, there are trampolines and buggy safaris.
