Imagine the garden gate of a truly exquisite villa opening directly onto Praia da Gale beach, imagine interesting furnishings sourced from around the world put in place by someone with an incredible eye for beauty and design, imagine rambling landscaped gardens and a dazzling swimming pool. You will find all of this at Villa Gale Hibiscus. It is an absolutely stunning villa in a perfect location sleeping eight guests though there is a smaller bedroom available for a supplement that can accommodate a further two guests.
Praia da Gale is a hidden treasure 4km west of Albufeira. The dazzling Blue Flag beach is one of the longest and loveliest stretches of sand in the Algarve, and Villa Gale Hibiscus is just a few metres from the ocean. Such a perfect location!
The glorious swimming pool and terrace area are second to none. Hidden from the prying eyes of passers-by as it is raised from the beach, it is exquisite in its design and its furnishings. Pure luxury and indulgence greet you. There are shady nooks for a quiet read, sociable spaces for al fresco dining and wonderful loungers and a hammock to watch the world go by. The sunsets are breath-taking.
The open plan living and dining area is exquisite. Your eyes are drawn to the incredible décor – think batik textiles, hand-carved buddhas, artisan furnishings, sublime tiling, sumptuous sofas. It is just superb and very clever. This boho-chic, whitewashed villa feels so luxurious. The top-notch kitchen has everything you might desire. There is also a separate laundry room.
The villa offers four deluxe bedrooms all with extravagant décor. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and walk-closet. The remaining three have en-suites. All are heavenly. In addition, there is another smaller bedroom which is available for a supplement should you want extra guests to accompany you. It would be especially useful for an au-pair or nanny.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Gale HibiscusThe villa is very private and cocooned in its luxury from the outside world and nestled by the Salgodos lagoon and nature reserve. The reserve is a protected stretch of coastal wetlands which is home to a wide variety of water birds – herons, storks, ibis, spoonbills and more. You should walk the boardwalk and see the wildlife on show. Many fish and turtles can be found. You can also cycle in the reserve, so it is a great day out with children.
Praia da Gale beach stretches forever. From the west side, you can walk all the way to Praia de Armacao de Pera, passing through Praia dos Salgodos and Praia de Pera. There are many water sports such as jet ski and surfing and several beach bars and restaurants. The east side is more sheltered with its rock formations, caves and shallow water – perfect for families.
Albufeira and Guia are within easy reach with their many restaurants, shops and other entertainment. Albufeira is one of the busiest resorts in the Algarve – it has a lively and carefree atmosphere and owes its fame to the many bars and nightclubs. Full of white houses, winding streets, Tunel and Penaco beaches, tempting restaurants serving fresh seafood and cataplana the speciality of the region and water parks, it is a tourist’s paradise. You should take a stroll in the historic Old Town. Guia is home to the famous Piri-Piri chicken which you really should try. Guia also is home to an amazing shopping mall.

ABOUT THE ALGARVE
Though most people tend to see the Algarve as all about the beaches and a holiday on the Med, there’s far much more to it than that. There’s actually a load of fascinating culture and history, superb cuisine and enthralling adventures to be had, though we’d be the first to admit that the beaches are pretty special too, with lots of sand, spectacle and wonderfully clean water.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChildren will love Villa Gale Hibiscus. The pool area and garden is fantastic for them, and there is so much space to play in. They will love the sea being at the end of the garden!
Praia da Gale beach is a pleasant escape from the crowded beaches of Albufeira with perfectly clean white sand. The eastern side of the beach is narrower with amazing rock formations. You can find many fossils and caves in the rocks. The sea is quite shallow so especially suitable to families.
Zoomarine Algarve in Guia is a favourite attraction for children. Magnificent marine mammals, informative exhibits and water park attractions make for a wonderful day out. You can even swim with dolphins there.
Aquashow in Quarteira is a theme park as well as a water park. There are some pretty hairy rollercoasters as well as many thrill-seeking water slides, kids splash zone and several shows. Aqualand between Albufeira and Lagoa offers a variety of slides to keep excited children busy. The lazy river appeals to anyone wanting to cool down on a hot day.
There are a few stables in the area that offer excellent opportunities for horse riding. In Salgados you can take a horse and cart tour. There is a children’s club where children can ride the ponies and groom and care for them.
