There is also a games table for some family fun. The room features attractive arches and many windows and doors, bathing the room in light. There is easily enough room for the whole holiday group to be inside. However, the outside areas are pretty incredible, so you are likely to be outside most of the time! The kitchen is very modern and sleek with excellent appliances for your self-catering holiday. The dining room is very attractive with a lovely fireplace. Four of the six-bedroom suites are located on this level. One features a double bed and ensuite bathroom with a shower, another offers a double bed and ensuite with a bath, and the final two offer twin beds and ensuite shower rooms. There is also a handy laundry room.
On the lower floor, you will find the fifth bedroom suite. It enjoys two single beds with trundle beds underneath. This would work well for children. There is also a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The lower floor enjoys access to a terrace with a table and chairs.
The final suite is located next to the covered outdoor lounge area. It is a suite with two sofa beds and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. It is beautiful with gorgeous contemporary dining and lounge furniture and an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. There are several other porches where you can disappear with your morning coffee or holiday read. The swimming pools are exceptional. The main pool is large at 12m x 6m, and just below is the 8m x 1.5m children’s pool. The pools are surrounded by loungers where you will enjoy the sensational views of the sea and marina. The garden is huge and cascades around and down from the villa. The lush lawns are fabulous for children to play with.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa AlfieThe fabulous Villa Alfie is located on the cliff above the stunning Lagos marina, which is 2km from the villa. Lagos is nestled in a beautiful bay and enjoys a mostly pedestrian old town where visitors love to meander before and after dinner. The Mercado Municipal da Avenida de Lagos is the number one spot for food shopping. The ground floor fish market is brimming with fresh fish and seafood of all kinds, perfect for your barbecue. It is buzzy, atmospheric and very colourful. The Centrol Cultural de Lagos boasts narrow, cobbled streets, attractive tiled building, forts, restaurants, cafes, fountains and beautiful plazas. You will find unique, quirky shops and enjoy delicious meals. Lagos is historic and characterful with a rich seafaring heritage. Its attractive, ancient buildings include the 17th-century fort and intricate Baroque churches such as Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz, Santo Antonio chapel, and ancient Moorish walls. The spectacular Meia Praia Beach is just minutes in the car from the villa and stretches 4km all the way from Lagos to the Odiaxere River mouth. It is sprinkled with friendly beach bars and cafes and offers an incredible amount of space, even at the height of the holiday season. Praia Dona Ana is a 25-minute walk from the city centre. Praia do Camilo is, like Meia Praia, to the west. The smart and sophisticated marina is lined with shops, bars, and restaurants and offers many boat trips to visit caves, snorkel, or dolphin watches.
Luz is a charming, peaceful resort located between Lagos and Salema. It is very popular with families for its beautiful beaches and an excellent range of restaurants and bars. There is a beautiful clifftop walk to the charming village of Burgau, where you can watch the Atlantic rollers splashing on the rocks below. A labyrinth of narrow streets lined with crooked, whitewashed houses draped in colourful flowers leads to the stunning beach.
Salema is another beautiful spot. The town enjoys a laid back, tranquil ambience where you can enjoy watching the local fishermen repairing their nets, painting their boats or early in the morning, unloading their catch of octopus, sardines, sea bass and gilt-head bream. Salema is located in the unspoilt Costa Vicenta Natural Park, a protected area of natural beauty. Praia de Salema is a Blue Flag beach with sugar-fine, golden sand. Restaurants serve delicious freshly cooked sardines, which you should definitely try.
To the east of Lagos, you will find the stunning Praia do Alvor. It is located at the end of a wonderful boardwalk all the way from Alvor Town, running past the incredible, protected marshlands of the Ria de Alvor Nature Reserve. The stunning Praia do Alvor features three impressive sea stacks known as the Tres Irmaos or Three Brothers and fine white sand, ochre sandstone cliffs, caves, and extensive dunes.
Golf fans will be delighted with Boavista Golf which is only 3km from the villa, and Onyria Palmares Golf is 4km away.

THE REGION
Lagos is a city on the western part of Portugal's south coast. The city is famous for its stunning beaches with beautiful rock formations and steep cliffs. The superb beauty of this charming city has no equal in the Algarve and is the reason why hordes of tourists travel thousands of kilometres to visit it every year.
Quiet sandy coves are sandwiched between dramatic cliffs. The sandy 2.5-mile stretch of Meia Praia caters to every water sport imaginable. And when you've had your fill, you can digest your day with some of the best nightlife in the Algarve region.
Drinking and good times continue to be a fundamental part of a visit to Lagos, and the fine array of restaurants, bars and local festas stand as a testament to this. The busy flea market fills the centre's narrow streets, which also boasts a Cultural Centre hosting various exhibitions and events throughout the year.
Lagos is equally suited as a family holiday destination; there are safe and sheltered beaches for your children, while thrill-seeking teenagers will adore the theme and water parks.
ABOUT THE ALGARVE
Though most people tend to see the Algarve as all about the beaches and a holiday on the Med, there’s far much more to it than that. There’s actually a load of fascinating culture and history, superb cuisine and enthralling adventures to be had, though we’d be the first to admit that the beaches are pretty special too, with lots of sand, spectacle and wonderfully clean water.
But while you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Algarve, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
