The warm, welcoming Villa Kenasa is situated in a lovely 2500 sqm plot between Silves, Lagoa, Porches and Algoz. It is so peaceful and glorious amongst scenic fields and beautiful countryside. Although quiet and relaxing you will quickly arrive at shops and restaurants and it is roughly 9km to the stunning Praia de Armacao de Pera beach. As soon as you arrive, you will appreciate the serenity of this wonderfully decorated villa.
Villa Kenasa is extremely spacious and so practical for a family holiday. It sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms. The open-plan living and dining room is so comfortable and has an open-hearth fireplace, satellite TV and also a sofabed. Doors open directly to the patio and pool area. The immaculate modern kitchen has so many cupboards you will not know what to put in them all! There is a useful breakfast table in the kitchen too.
On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom as well as another double bedroom and a family bathroom. One of these might be very useful if you have some less mobile guests with you. Overall, there are five wonderful bathrooms. They are pristine and so smart. One bathroom is on the lower ground floor. The upper floor is home to a twin room and another double. Both have access to the balcony with its stunning views of the natural environment.
The garden is huge and very special with its wonderful, lush planting. The pool area is fenced, and there is an outside shower. From its raised position, you feel totally private and secluded. It is so relaxing and a wonderful base for a sunny holiday on the Algarve.

About the surrounding area of Villa KenasaVilla Kenasa is set in the countryside 9km from the coastline of Praia de Armacao de Pera beach. It is wonderful that you can enjoy peace and seclusion yet very quickly get to attractive and busy towns and coastal resorts.
Armacao de Pera was once a small fishing village but is now a busy, popular resort on the Algarve. In the old part of the city, the charm of the traditional squat fishermen’s houses has been preserved with the lovely beach right in front. The eastern area of the sand is known as Fisherman’s Beach and is still used for the sale of fish and repair of nets.
Carvoeiro, just along the coast, is a picturesque traditional town. The beach is beautiful, and it is on the scenic Sete Vales Suspensos hiking route. Otherwise known as the Seven Hanging Valleys hiking route, it is one of the most scenic on the Algarve. The round trip is 11.5km following the stunning coastline between Vale de Carvoeiro to Praia da Marinha in the east. The dramatic coastline is formed of massive, savagely eroded limestone cliffs. The deep-sea caves, perilous sinkholes and majestic sea arches will give you some amazing photographs so make sure you take your camera. Secluded beaches are sheltered from the power of the ocean in the hanging valleys.
Lagoa is charming with many whitewashed houses. The cultural centre of Lagoa was originally built in 1710 as the Convent of Saint Joseph and was created after a major renovation. It houses exhibitions of paintings, photography and sculpture. The stunning modern art exhibited at the Lady in Red art gallery is worthy of a stop. It is located in an unused industrial space of a big wine producer. The Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz which means Church of Our Lady of Light is beautiful and worth a visit.

THE REGION
Situated some 7 km inland from the magnificent coastline for which this municipality of the Algarve is renowned, the small city of Lagoa has a rural feel that contrasts significantly with the cosmopolitan atmosphere of its popular seaside resorts.
The idyllic town is charmingly traditional and only a short distance from the popular Portimão. As well as being close to some of the best beach resorts in the region and the historic town of Silves, Lagoa holidays have ample charms of their own.
Inserted in a traditionally agricultural and important wine-producing area, Lagoa lies on a small hill rising above flatlands that allegedly once held the lagoon that gave the city its name.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChildren will love staying in Villa Kenasa. The pool is delightful, and with a huge plot, they can squeal with joy and not worry about neighbours.
There are such impressive geological formations at Algar Seco, children will be very happy. The caves are fantastically accessible, and it is such good fun swimming in the natural swimming pool and jumping off points into the sea. The stunning Praia de Benagil is so attractive with its rocks and cute little hideaways. A game of hide and seek would be such fun here. You can take boat trips and kayaks into the caves.
You can take a taxi ferry from the marina in Praia da Rocha over to Ferragudo which is so pretty. The lovely fishing village is so charming, and children always love getting out on the water.
Slide and Splash is close to Lagoa and offers such a fun day out. It boasts animal shows, thrilling slides, water playgrounds, rides and several restaurants. The Big Slides, Kamikaze and Big Wave slides will send your adrenaline pumping. Aqualand Algarve has a wave pool, high slides, a rapid river run, a lazy river and a surf beach.
There are many mini-golf courses around. This is such fun. You will also find amusement arcades and indoor bowling.

Villa Kenasa
We booked Villa Kenasa as a base for a family holiday. It didn't disappoint. Large enough that everyone had their own space and very well equipped. Pool area lovely although would benefit from additional umbrellas as shade very limited. The location may put some people off as up a dirt track and no amenities close by, you do need a car to stay here. Some minor repairs needed, pool tiles off etc but overall an excellent base for the price we paid.

Das Ferienhaus hat uns sehr gut gefallen
Es ist zwar etwas abgelegen, trotzdem ist man relativ schnell in der nächsten Stadt oder am Strand. Ein Auto benötigt man. Das Haus ist auch für 8 Personen groß genug und ausreichend möbliert. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
