Villa Kaelin offers a luxury design haven of tranquillity in a rural location not far from Silves, within the rural Algarve landscape. Guests will be struck by the remarkable architectural finesse of this villa: it is like something from an interiors magazine! Sleek, contemporary and artfully designed - indoor and outdoor living merge in a harmony of light and style.
Villa Kaelin marries simple Mediterranean living with style and panache! The living room is tranquil and in keeping with the fresh, neutral tones of the villa. Minimalist in design, every feature has been selected with modern luxury in mind: the beautiful stand-alone bathtub, the large wet-room style showers, the designer lighting and functional yet design-inspired furnishings - interiors lovers will feel immediately at home.
There are three bedrooms with extra large double beds, and two further bedrooms with twin beds; all of these have state of the art private bathrooms and air-conditioning. Each detail has been thoughtfully considered, each bedroom with a calm aura, fantastic light views and accents of fresh turquoise.
Guests will immediately unwind into the incredibly tranquil feel of this modern holiday home; it has been designed to incorporate maximum light and takes advantage of magnificent far-reaching views from every angle.
Moving into outdoor living is seamless through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The pool creates a central point in the semi courtyard space while the glass balustrades provide endless country views. There is an outdoor shower for an added touch of ease.
Outdoor dining is done with style and ease here; several outdoor eating spaces are provided with the very best in outdoor furnishings. The isolated, shaded seating areas are ideal for fresh morning juice or coffee and pastries; while the poolside area comes to life when lit at night with a glass of local wine and nibbles.
There are comfortable outdoor sofas and reclining chairs as well as sun loungers; and a fantastic barbecue area and outdoor kitchenette. Every last touch is finished with chic quality - Villa Kaelin is a jewel in Algarve’s crown, a glittering gem in a beautiful rural location overlooking the orange-tree filled valley.

This magnificent villa is just six kilometres from the historic city of Silves. Silves is a delightful, traditional Portuguese town steeped in Algarvean culture and history. Once the ancient capital of Algarve, today Silves is a vibrant tourist town that maintains its original feel.
During the Moors era, Silves was a dominant defensive stronghold and pre-eminent trading town. Remnants of its historic past can be seen when exploring from Silves - from a vast red brick castle, ancient city walls and a gothic cathedral.
Silves is both historically intriguing and picturesque; set within Algarve countryside on the banks of the slow-flowing Rio Arade river. The town encapsulates a distinctly Algarvean flavour, with open-air cafes, cobbled streets and bustling day to day life.
Silves Castle is well worth a visit, full of tales of Moorish intrigue; it hasn’t been altered much since the days of Almohad Caliphate in the 12th and 13th centuries. Beneath ground level, visitors can take in a ten-meter high cistern that descends sixty meters below earth level. The cathedral and archaeology museum will also interest history enthusiasts.
Nowhere gives a more significant flavour of everyday life more than a local market - and Silves market which is on six days a week is a hub of authentic Portuguese life! The liveliest day is Saturday when traders from around the region come to town to set up their stalls in the square.
For trips further afield, the beautiful beach of Praia dos Beijinhos is fifteen kilometres from the villa, while the award-winning golf course of Golf Amendoeira Resort is nine kilometres away.
There is something for everyone in the Silves region. Golf players or those who love water sports won’t be disappointed, while culinary enthusiasts can take advantage of the many restaurants offering fresh seafood and other delights.
For those who wish to venture further afield, day trips to Albufeira and Loule are worth considering. Boat and coastal tours offer a leisurely pace for exploring. Whether it be pretty historic streets and traditional plazas, a business golfing trip or a culinary adventure, this corner of Southern Portugal has it covered.
Restaurants & Shops
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.
ABOUT THE ALGARVE
Though most people tend to see the Algarve as all about the beaches and a holiday on the Med, there’s far much more to it than that.
But while you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Algarve, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
Villa Kaelin is well set up for small visitors, with its airy, spacious and single floor layout, parents need not to worry about tumbles on the stairs. The calm and air-conditioned rooms are ideal for post-lunch siestas, while the barbecue will be a hit with older children.
When the heat of the day gets too much and quiet time is required, the satellite television/DVD player will hit the right note. The pool will provide hours of splashy fun with inflatables, while the kitchen is fully set up for dining as a family. This region of Portugal is abundant with activities for children of all ages.
Heading into Carvoeiro is worth a trip; there is a park which is ideal for toddlers and small children - well maintained, and with a gate, it also provides the most beautiful views for parents. Carvoeiro also boasts an excellent tennis club.
The Fontes will also delight children of all ages, located just outside Estombar; visitors will find a lake area, natural spring swimming pools, park, picnic area and trails throughout the woods.
The beautiful beach locally offers long, golden stretches of sand and safe, shallow waters. Parasols and loungers can be hired, while the beachside cafes offer fresh juices and ice creams.
There are so many activities available for children of all ages; whether they be budding equestrians who fancy a day of horse-riding, water sports enthusiasts or keen on trekking, the options are endless.
Water sports are plentiful locally, as are water parks (Zoomarine and Aqualand, to name a few) which are worth making a day trip for. With circa twenty sandy beaches, and an array of family-friendly restaurants locally, this lovely part of the Algarve and a comfortable house is ideal for children of all ages.
