Escape to the Algarve with a stay at the excellent Casa Lombos. Set on a quiet hillside surrounded by natural beauty, you can enjoy complete relaxation with your closest friends and family beneath the Mediterranean sun.

Split across two levels; Casa Lombos is a gorgeous traditional Portuguese home, perfect for groups who like to do things at their own pace while on holiday. Upon arrival, you’ll notice how the property is completely enclosed by lush foliage, giving you lots of privacy during your stay. If you’ve chosen to rent a vehicle for your stay, you can park on the property’s private driveway.

Inside, your main living space is an open plan living room and dining room combination with an additional seating nook and a home bar. A large wrap-around sofa focuses on the home’s TV, which has a DVD player so you can watch your favourite films and series at your leisure. Adjacent to the living area is a fully-equipped kitchen which you can use to prepare delicious meals during your time at Casa Lombos. A second dining area is located outside, overlooking the swimming pool, perfect for group meals in the fresh air.

Across the upper and lower levels of the property, you’ll find five cosy bedrooms, each decorated in a simple traditional style that can sleep up to ten people in total. Each bedroom is simply decorated, sleeps up to two people, with a mix of king and twin beds, and has a private en-suite bathroom. Four bedrooms are located on the main upper level of the villa, and the fifth is downstairs, close to the games room, featuring direct garden access from the room.

For leisure time, the downstairs area contains a games room complete with table games to enjoy like table tennis and table football. A spacious garden wraps around Casa Lombos, allowing guests of all ages to enjoy the outdoors for relaxation or playing games. Separate to the gardens, set on its own terrace, is a large heated swimming pool and sun loungers.

The Villa

This spacious 5 bedroom villa is located close to the village of Porches en Alporchinhos and the popular resort of Armação de Pêra with good restaurants and a long sandy beach with a lovely promenade to stroll along while enjoying an ice cream. The villa is located on a small cul de sac with only 3 villas. The location is wonderfully quiet and yet a short distance from the main facilities.

Casa Lombos benefits from a quiet hillside location which is just a short car ride away from shops, amenities and the beach. As the villa is located in a somewhat remote area, we recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay to make getting around easier.

To get to Casa Lombos, your nearest airport is Faro Airport which is around 35 minutes away. Or, if you’re driving directly to the villa from another destination as part of a multi-stop trip, you’ll be pleased to hear that Casa Lombos is well-served by nearby road links.

There are lots of beaches within driving distance of your villa, from romantic coves flanked by dramatic cliffs to miles-long stretches of golden sand. Just a five-minute drive from the villa is beautiful Armação de Pêra, a small coastal town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to discover. Its beach, Praia de Armação de Pêra, boasts soft clean sand and calm waters, perfect for sun-seeking families.

For days when you wish to travel further afield and explore the area, the popular towns of Portimão and Lagos are around half an hour’s drive away. To the east, lively Albufeira is less than 30 minutes from your villa by car, making for an exciting day out at the Algarve’s heart.

THE REGION

Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).

In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

If you’re travelling with little holidaymakers in tow, then Casa Lombos is an excellent choice for you. Not only do kids benefit from having lots of their own space where they can run around and play in the comfort of their own holiday home, but they also have several kid-friendly amenities right on-site.

Casa Lombos has complimentary internet access for guests to make the most of during their stay, meaning kids can keep themselves entertained with their favourite online games and media. The villa’s TV has a DVD player, perfect for letting little ones watch their favourite movies while they wind down.

Downstairs, the games room lets kids test their competitive side with table tennis and table football. And outside, the large garden is ideal for lawn games, and the private swimming pool makes staying with kids extra easy.

Beyond the villa, active kids can take part in walks along the nearby cliffs and hillsides, taking in the stunning views of your surroundings. Your nearest beach, Armação de Pêra, is perfect for families with clean golden sands and gentle blue waters that kids love to snorkel and swim in.

For day trips, you’re well placed with easy road access to many of the area’s top attractions. Popular destinations include a day out to Albufeira, the heart of the Algarve, or historic Lagos, where kids can learn all about the history of the region.

For a more adventurous day out with the kids, Slide and Splash, a popular water park, is around 15 minutes away by car from Casa Lombos.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit A €50 damage waiver is included in the rental price to help you enjoy a peaceful stay. The waiver provides a limited damage cover in case of any damage to the property or its contents (except in the case of deliberate or reckless acts) up to the value of €1,500. Above €1,500, claims will be made to recoup the extra charges incurred to repair any damage. Please enquire if you wish to know more information.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Not included in the rental price, available at an extra cost of €200 per day to be paid with the balance to Oliver’s Travels (mandatory fee between Oct – April)
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights
Changeover day Flexible.
Pets welcome? Not allowed.
Smoking Allowed? Not permitted.
Pool heating charge? For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of €200 from May-September and €300 from October - April per week (to be paid with the balance). Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.
Tax Tourist tax not applicable.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
