With an acre and a half of stunning, manicured gardens offering fantastic panoramic views of glorious countryside and out to sea, this villa offers magical entertainment space for 8 guests. Offering both traditional and contemporary features, Casa Primula boasts a fabulous blend of wow factor and luxuriously comfortable living. It is stylish, elegant, vast and beautifully maintained.
Located in the peaceful haven of Malhao, 4km from the nearby village of Boliqueime, the villa is within easy reach of the popular towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura. This really is your own little piece of paradise! The pretty Boliqueime boasts delightful cafes and restaurants together with useful shops. For some fantastic entertainment, you can head for the exclusive marinas and old towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura. Sports fans will be delighted with what is on offer, particularly about golf.
The impeccable impression you gain as you arrive at Casa Primula will not be let down as you tour the villa and the gardens. The beautifully landscaped gardens, spread over two levels, are laid with lawns, flowerbeds, mature olive and cypress trees and colourful shrubs. The backdrop of uninterrupted countryside stretching 12kms to the coast is magnificent. There are two swimming pools. The main one is large at 15m x 5m with corner Roman steps and a pool shower. There is a separate solar heated children’s pool which is still a good size at 7m x 3.5m. At the end of the main pool, you will find fantastic, wooden beamed games and lounge room with a kitchen, lounge area and a fabulous range of games including table football, table tennis, pool, a card table, Playstation, TV and DVD. French doors open onto the poolside terrace. There are both covered and open alfresco dining terraces with a built-in barbecue. You will certainly be spending a lot of your time outside in the gardens of this fantastic villa.
The ground floor of the villa is home to the entrance hall, cloakroom, a very attractive, contemporary living room with a decorative feature fireplace, an excellent dining room with doors to the covered terrace, a superb country style kitchen, a utility room and a modern mezzanine study if you need to catch up on any emails. The villa flows beautifully from room to room. As soon as you enter the villa, the striking entrance hall will impress, and the high, vaulted, beamed living room ceiling gives such a fantastic ambience. The villa was recently refurbished with quality contemporary furnishings throughout.
Two of the four bedrooms are situated on the lower level of the villa. There is a gorgeous double bedroom with a very lovely, fully-tiled ensuite bathroom, dressing area and doors to the side terrace and garden. The twin bedroom on this floor again boasts modern, comfortable furnishings and an ensuite shower room.
The remaining two bedrooms are on the first floor. The double bedroom is fabulous and benefits from a balcony where you can enjoy the panoramic views and an ensuite bathroom. The twin bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Every bedroom in this luxury villa has its own merits.
You will find it very hard to leave Casa Primula to explore all that the Algarve has to offer!
What you should know…
- The gardens are spectacular and the local area is very special. It is peaceful and even though it is close to the coastal Algarve buzz, you feel totally away from it all!
- There is a solar heated children’s pool as well as the main one. If you would like to have the main pool heated, it is an option for an additional cost
- Aside from beach days, there is so much to do on the Algarve – sports, historic towns to visit, it is seriously foodie and there are some lovely churches and ancient buildings to visit

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa PrimulaCasa Primula has fantastic appeal with its huge plot and far-reaching views. With total privacy, excellent entertaining space and tranquillity in the hamlet of Malhao, the villa is also close to the shops, restaurants and bars in Boliquieme, 4km away and only 14km from the busy tourist towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura.
Also close by is the quaint, historical town of Loule. It offers a characterful historic centre and a popular Moorish inspired, colourful covered market. The town is bustling on Saturday mornings when there is also a farmer’s market and a colourful gipsy market. You might like to visit the town’s churches and the castle. There are occasional folk celebrations in the town which are very entertaining.
There are over 100 restaurants and bars in Albufeira to choose from. There is also excellent boutique shopping, beautiful beaches and a lovely promenade. The main square, Jardim Publico de Albufeira, is the heart of the Old Town with open-air restaurants, cafes and bars and frequent live music. The massive Albufeira Shopping Mall boasts some lovely boutiques and a very useful, enormous supermarket. The nightlife continues late into the night in Albufeira, especially around the hedonistic ‘Strip’. The promenade, lined with vibrant bars and cafes, is perfect for an early evening stroll to enjoy enchanting views of the bay and the spectacular sunsets. The pretty winding lanes of the old fisherman’s quarters lead to the Tunel and Peneco Beaches where brightly painted fishing boats rest on the sand after their day’s work.
You may also enjoy visiting the peaceful, picturesque town of Silves or the Old Town of Faro. Silves was originally the ancient capital of the Algarve. With its imposing red brick castle, Gothic cathedral, ancient town walls, open-air cafes and restaurants and the daily market, Silves is very popular.

THE REGION
Boliqueime offers up a rural slice of the Algarve on Portugal's southern coast. It's right up in the hills, surrounded by pine trees and almond groves. The authentic village atmosphere comes complete with cobbled streets and a square where locals gather to play dominoes. As for beaches and nightlife, Albufeira's within a 15-minute drive.
Despite the laidback setting, there are plenty of activities nearby to keep you on your toes. Vilamoura's just a 15-minute drive away and home to a championship golf course. Meanwhile, ocean lovers can make the most of parasailing from Albufeira's marina or head out on a dolphin-watching trip.

But while you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Algarve, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesSleeping 8, Casa Primula is perfect for a large family or two families. The garden is exceptional, and there are two swimming pools, one dedicated to children. The games room is also excellent with many activities to enjoy.
Children will love the nearest beach Olhos d’Agua. It is known for its freshwater springs which can be seen among the rocks at the eastern end of the beach at low tide. There are so many beaches to visit. A good way to see some of the beaches is to take a boat trip from the marina in Albufeira. You can visit magnificent caves or enjoy the common or bottlenosed dolphins that swim in the nearby waters.
There are several water parks within easy reach of the villa, including Quarteira’s Aquashow. It boasts thrilling water rides and slides as well as birds of prey, reptile and parrot shows. There is a dedicated splash zone for young children. The White Fall and Free Fall rollercoasters are pretty scary! Aqualand Water Park is between Albufeira and Lagoa and also has a good range of exciting slides, a lazy river, various pools and a water playground. Slide & Splash is the third water park in the region with attractions such as the Black Hole, Kamikaze and Big Wave slides.
Albufeira has an amusement arcade, bowling, crazy golf, pedal karts, trampolines and a bouncy castle at the marina. Vilamoura boasts the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre with excellent facilities and some fabulous shows in the arenas and competition areas. Pinetrees Riding Stables is close by with tuition for riders from 4 years old through pine forests, on the beaches and also through the Ludo Valley’s orange groves.
Other activities for children include go-karting, jeep tours, mini-golf, the cinema at Algarve Shopping, mini-trains around the resorts and high ropes adventure courses. There is no end to the entertainment available!
