Overview
Nestled near the coastal town Petrovac, sleeping eight guests, is the villa Buljarica. Whitewashed walls create a clean canvas against the mountainous backdrop with panoramic views of the sea laid out before you.
The main family space is on the ground floor. Caramel curtains frame the floor to ceiling windows letting in plenty of natural light assisted by the white walls. A comfortable sofa that converts into a double bed makes the space feel homey with plenty of cushions ready to relax into. A wide wooden dining table seating eight guests on soft chairs leads the space to a modern kitchen with an island. The sleek kitchen has all the appliances needed including a stove, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. But with a catering service available at an extra cost, you won’t need to spend much time in the kitchen! Playful lighting fixtures keep the space alight in the evenings making the room feel cosy. Wide double doors open out to the patio where a comfortable seating area and alfresco dining reside.
Heading upstairs, you find three double bedrooms. The bedrooms are low key designed with plenty of space surrounding the double beds- there is loads of room to feel at home. All three bedrooms have access to a balcony; settle down and enjoy your coffee while feeling the warmth of the morning sun. Two of the bedrooms have ensuites with a walk-in shower adding more privacy to your stay. A family bathroom is also on the first floor for all to use.
Back outside the property, there is a spacious outdoor pool with steps leading you down into the water. Sun loungers crowd around the side of the pool while olive trees grow on the edge of the property. The patio is wide waiting for games to be played and memories to be made. Car and yacht rentals are available as well as excursion tours to see more of the landscape you rest your head in. A concierge service is ready for you to use if you wish as well as the generous service of babysitting if you wanted to escape for a romantic evening for a few hours. All these extras are at an additional charge and subject to availability so enquire as soon as you decide.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa BuljaricaLocated near the coastal town of Petrovac lies villa Buljarica. A six-hundred-metre sandy beach hugs the town's coast, connecting the streets to the clear waters. Take a stroll and enjoy the sound of the waves hitting the shore. Walk along to Kastio castle- sculpted into a rocky peninsula jutting further out to sea. You can turn and see the town spread out before you as the sun sets over its rooftops.
Tucked within a picturesque cover hides Luchica beach. Sand underfoot and blue skies above, this corner of the coast offers swimming and sunbathing for all those who are lucky enough to find it. Being a popular beach, there are the luxuries of grills and bars to satisfy your hunger from a long day under the sun.
You can witness one of the oldest human settlements north of the villa, dating back to the 5th century- Budva. Famed for its medieval walled town and sandy beaches, Budva flourishes in the summer months, making it the centre of tourism within Montenegro. It has an extensive range in architecture, with the old town's heritage compared to the modern developments and superyachts that visit year on year. Its rich history stems from the Roman Empire and also has a lot of Greek influence in the early years of the town's development. The local food is delicious and can be easily found on the shoreline and in the town's narrow streets. Enjoy the delicious feasts as you look over the sun setting on the Adriatic Coast.
There are many beaches dotted along the coast. The Budva Riveria surrounds the town of Budva and is the heart of Montenegro beach tourism, with twenty-one kilometres of beaches within. With cafes, restaurants, sunbeds and parasols to rent out, plus water sports in the area to entertain you, you cannot go far wrong enjoying your days in the sunshine.
Further up the coast is the famed Bay of Kotor. Take a boat trip and explore the hidden gems of the understated terracotta roof-top towns and submerge yourself amongst the mountains protecting the Bay. Journey into the Bay via kayak as a part of a tour, learn the history, see the landscape from a new perspective and make memories together that will last a lifetime. The biggest challenge will be to leave this corner of the world at the end of your stay.

About the Region & Getting There
About Budva
Budva has been celebrated for its remarkable Riviera for decades! Not only are the beaches pristine and spoilt with turquoise waters, holiday-goers are continually reminded of this destination’s antiquated past wherever they look. With mesmerising streets in the Old Town and Monasteries rising over the symbolic Adriatic rooftop-slates, tourists unite in this glorious city for treasured holidays.
First stop, the Beaches! Budva’s coastline stretches for over 20km, so you will have to meander out of the city’s medieval walls to enjoy your choice of seventeen beaches. By far the most popular of these beaches is Jaz – here you will find lots of water-based activities that extend over the 4km shore. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, a day trip to the charming island of Sveti Nikola is urged. Not only will you experience stunning scenery, which locals liken to Hawaii, but you’re likely to see deer and rabbits. If the heat and sand is all becoming a little too much for you and the family, make sure to visit Aquapark Budva. This impressive facility not only has restaurants, shops and great views, but it also has a superb range of water related activities.
During the day, feel free to explore the Old Town. There’s lots to see and you will learn about this unique town’s history, so visit the numerous museums, the Citadel and Santa Maria del Punta Church. After some sightseeing, stretch your legs along the promenade that acts as a walkway between Budva and another of our favourites - Sveti Stefan. Perhaps stop off half way down this coastal boulevard and familiarise yourself with the Montenegrin food, which includes the well-known Njeguski Steak (schnitzel filled with Njegusi prosciutto & cheese), Buzara (shellfish & prawns) and Ispod Saca (a hearty stew). If shopping is your thing, we suggest a trip to Petrovac in order to explore the dozens of unusual boutiques that are still spoilt with prominent coastal views.
Budva does have a recognised nightlife scene, so if you fancy a cocktail in the evening then check out Mogren Beach or Maltez. Festival goers are drawn to this part of the world during late August for the intimate Sea Dance Festival.
Budva has seen some developed over recent years, but that hasn’t taken away from its 2,500-year history. If you want to be wowed by architecture, beaches and wonderful food & drink – we think you’ve found your next holiday!
Prior to Booking
As many of our regions in Montenegro are coastal, there can sometimes be some adverse weather. This tends to only really occur outside of the Peak Season though. When thinking about booking your holiday to Montenegro, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.
Entry Requirements
Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival, unless their stay lasts longer than 90 days. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.
Getting There
Sveti Stefan, Bar & Ulcinj are served by Tivat Airport and Podgorica Airport. Please note that Tivat is a smaller International Airport, which can experience overcrowding in Peak Season. Due to its proximity to Orjen & Lovćen Mountains, flights are sometimes re-directed to Podgorica Airport or cancelled in the case of bad weather.
From the UK:
Direct flights are available from London on Montenegro Airlines, easyJet, TUI, Ryanair and many others. Chartered flights are also available from several other UK airports.
From Dubrovnik, Croatia:
Connecting flights are available from Dubrovnik Airport to Podgorica Airport.
By Bus:
GetByBus operates from Dubrovnik, Tivat and Podgorica to Sveti Stefan, Bar & Ulcinj. Journeys can take up to 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Kids

It is perfect for making those important family memories. As all bedrooms are under the same roof, it is easy to keep an eye on everyone while enjoying a relaxing holiday. The pool is ideal for the youngsters to make a splash while you can unwind under the warming sun. Steps lead into the pool, making it easy for everyone to access the water and giving the smaller ones a chance to join in! Keep a watchful eye out to make sure the little ones don’t wander off, as there are no barriers to stop little feet from falling in. At an additional cost, babysitting is available at the property, ideal if you want to escape for a romantic evening. Please contact the property before arrival for more information if you are interested in using this service.
Outside the villa, Montenegro offers plenty to do with an abundance of water sports, including parasailing, kayaking tours and boat rides. Simply swimming in the clear waters or delving deeper and giving snorkelling a go to see the creatures who inhabit the home under the waves will excite the youngers- leaving them with memories they won’t forget. See the history of the towns and understand how the landscape came to be as a family.
