This huge villa can host a group of up to 18 guests, with stunning views and incredible entertaining spaces. Combining bohemian décor with modern styles there is an air of opulence and style to each living space, whilst the outdoor areas focus on entertaining, with room for everyone to gather and celebrate.
Stepping inside, the spacious kitchen offers everything you need to prepare spectacular meals for a large group. There are six bedrooms and seven bathrooms spread across the various levels, as well as a double bed on the terrace so you can sleep under the stars! Open showers in the bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and inspiring views all add to the glamour of this one-of-a-kind property, with the rooms feeling indulgent and special. Equally, there are several bunk-bed rooms, perfect for children to share or groups of friends to all clamber in together talking the evening away!
Outside, there is a sequence of outdoor living areas, with around seven levels of entertaining space. The private pool is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days, or using as a centrepiece to an evening party, all sipping local wine around the glistening surface. Colourful seating, sun loungers and barbecues are poised around the property, so you can all find your own corner, or all gather in one space. As you climb the hill, the views only get better, stretching across the hills and sea, with blanket of the sky above you.

Located in the Herceg Novi area, this fabulous villa is surrounded by lush trees, beautiful beaches, and fascinating coastal sights. Boat trips and beach days are impossible to resist, heading out to explore the crystal-clear sea and its hidden caves and attractions. The famous Blue Cave is only 8 kilometres away, so we recommend that is high on your list!

About the surrounding area of Villa KarnelaMontenegro has so much to offer, from its breath-taking scenery and coastline, to its historic towns and sights.
Villa Karnela is located on a hillside in the breath-taking Bay of Kotor. The closest town is Rose, an old settlement located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, on the Luštica peninsula. Considered to be the oldest settlement in the Bay of Kotor, this charming area offers a little insight into the history of the Bay. Foreign and domestic ships would have been supplied with food from the harbour and it is suggested that at one time there was even a customs zone for entrance to the area.
Now, Rose is recognisable for the large Austro-Hungarian fortress Forte Rose, which plays host to a diving centre. So, whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver, the location is perfect! Boat trips and snorkelling are equally popular, with guests taking every opportunity to explore this beautiful coastline. The Blue Cave is just 8km from the villa itself, it is the largest of many sea caves on Luštica Peninsula. Named for the way the light hits the sandy bottom and reflects up through the water makes the whole cave look blue, a wonder not to be missed!
Rose gets the longest sunshine hours in the entire area, and we cannot think of a bigger selling point than that! With its various terraces and outdoor living spaces, Villa Karnela takes full advantage of the sunshine, with spectacular views across the Bay for you to enjoy under the warm sun. There is even an outdoor bed so you can sleep under the star-lit night sky!
A thirty-minute drive will bring you to the Old Town of Kotor. The cobblestone streets, historic churches and dramatic fortresses of Kotor Old Town are magical and well worth exploring. You cannot park in the Old Town itself, so it is best to plan out your trip beforehand, stopping at some more beaches and sights along the way! The coastal road offers breath-taking scenery across the Bay, with plenty of spots to stop and take photos along the way!

About the Bay of Kotor
The Bay of Kotor, or Boka, has been a World Heritage Site since 1979, so be assured of its captivating scenery that includes; a Venetian old town, a Fortress, Roman Mosaics, churches and a glistening cove that all culminate to provide guests with an exceptional holiday destination.
Sailing through the fjord you will notice the Orjen Mountains along the west, and the Lovćen Mountain range curling around the east, which outline this spellbinding landscape. As you enter through the bay you are greeted by a man-made islet that is home to Our Lady of the Rocks Church and a museum. This is the first of many reminders that you are about to reach a region of Montenegro that is famed for its natural scenery and poignant architecture.
The Bay of Kotor is made up of four cornerstones - Lastva, Morinj, Stoliv and the most renowned Tivat. Within these villages you are able to find iconic landmarks such as St Petka Church and St Mary’s Church, or for something a little less pious; simply enjoy Tivat Marina and Gornji Stoliv’s Olive grove & Fig orchard.
Travel inland and strap on a pair of hiking boots as you explore Lovcen National Park. Although it is about an hours drive from the Bay, it really is worth the day trip! Whether you’re travelling with a Botanists, Ecologist, Entomologist or Zoologist; they will be pleased to know that there’s an immeasurable number of species that include birds, insects, bears, wolves and some breath-taking flora & fauna.
We urge holidaymakers to make the most of Kodor! This charming town has everything you need to forget the day-to-day tribulations of home life. Not only does this small medieval refuge have a host of cafes & restaurants, but there are some must see attractions like the Maritime Museum, the Cats Museum of Kotor, Cats of Kotor Shop and St. John’s Hill. The perfect retreat for a family in need of sun, sea & sentiment.

Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival, unless their stay lasts longer than 90 days. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.
Getting ThereSveti Stefan, Bar & Ulcinj are served by Tivat Airport and Podgorica Airport. Please note that Tivat is a smaller International Airport, which can experience overcrowding in Peak Season. Due to its proximity to Orjen & Lovćen Mountains, flights are sometimes re-directed to Podgorica Airport or cancelled in the case of bad weather.

Connecting flights are available from Dubrovnik Airport to Podgorica Airport.

GetByBus operates from Dubrovnik, Tivat and Podgorica to Sveti Stefan, Bar & Ulcinj. Journeys can take up to 4 hours and 45 minutes.

Perfect for weddings, renewals of vows and festivities, Villa Karnela offers something special, for events that will never be forgotten.
The accommodation is split across several levels which gives families their own space to entertain and look after younger kids. Of course, a baby cot and highchair can be provided for convenience, and there is plenty to space to bring all the bits you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible! There is one bedroom with three bunkbeds, so six children can share, which we are sure siblings, cousins and friends will love!
Both inside and out, there is plenty of space to run and play, with an amazing private swimming pool where they can play and splash about. A range of pebbly and sandy beaches are spread along the Bay of Kotor, with water sports and boat trips that you can all enjoy as a family.
A short drive will bring you to an array of restaurants and cafes. Most of the restaurants are all family friendly, with plenty of menu choices that kids will love. On the menus, there are seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes, and there is always something new to taste. We recommend they try some of the Montenegrin classics such as Punjene Paprike - stuffed peppers, or Gulaš - a hearty stew served with mashed potato. Borek, a flaky savory pastry is beloved by kids of all ages, and it can be found in the famous bakeries all over town.
For a day trip, the Old Town of Kotor is fascinating for kids, with ancient building and fortresses to explore, and plenty of sweet treat stop offs on the way round. There is no parking in Kotor centre, so it is best to find a parking spot as near as possible, so you can spend your energy exploring the higgledy-piggledy streets, rather than walking to them!
