The idyllic Sangeli Island is located in the northwestern tip of Male Atoll in the Maldives. Guests arrive by complimentary speedboat in 50 minutes, having been warmly greeted at Male International Airport. You will arrive to the island’s welcoming sounds of Bodu Beru drumming. How wonderful to shower and bath in total privacy in the open air! Luxurious bath robes, towels and slippers are provided for your comfort. Traditional Maldivian architecture is fused with trendy design, creating a fabulously comfortable space with some gorgeous lounge furniture. The warm red tones and luxurious soft furnishings blend beautiful with the rich wooden floors. Guests step out to a lush, private, tropical garden with a welcome 13 sqm private plunge pool. There is shaded lounge seating and luxury loungers, the perfect spot to enjoy your holiday books. The garden leads straight to the fine white sands and breathtaking panoramic vistas. The size of this delightful, family friendly retreat is 152 sqm. The villa is ideal for small families or friends. On request extra beds and cots can be added. The total occupancy is 2 adults and 4 children or 4 adults and 2 children. Villa Tern offers a minibar which is restocked daily with complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks plus the villa offers tea and coffee making facilities. The friendly resort staff will pop in every evening to provide a dreamy turn down service.
Olbu Select offer a brilliant ‘Serenity Plan’ for your stay. It is an extensive, fully encompassing, hassle free plan including dining and drinking options, spa treatments, watersports and excursions. You literally just turn up and indulge yourselves in constant treats! This comprehensive, all-inclusive holiday package is very generous and blends all the elements of a blissful tropical stay. The resort boasts several restaurants and some wonderfully atmospheric bars. Guests enjoy complimentary use of snorkeling and non-motorised watersports equipment thoughout their stay. This includes stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and pedalos. The resort’s gym is very well equipped and available to guests. There are yoga, strength training, pilates and other sessions that can be enjoyed. The children’s club arranges many activities to keep the young ones happy. About the surrounding area of Villa TernVilla Tern, a fabulous 2 bedroom beach villa with its own private plunge pool, is located on the prestigious, five star Oblu Select resort on Sangeli Island. It enjoys a gorgeous waterfront setting with a private tropical garden. Sangeli Island is just 50 minutes by speedboat after arriving at Male International Airport. You will receive such a warm welcome with chilled water and refreshing face towels offered on the speedboat and Bodu Beru drumming on arrival at the island. Oblu Select is operated by the popular Indian Ocean hospitality brand, Atmosphere Hotels and Resorts. You will soon discover that Sangeli offers the most discerning of travellers an exotic holiday experience of the highest calibre. It enjoys some of the most outstanding dive and snorkeling locations in the entire Male Atoll. The resort boasts several restaurant options and some gorgeous bars. It offers a beautiful garden Spa and Wellness Complex, two swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a fully-equipped overwater gym. Non-motorised watersports are offered on a complimentary basis and motorised watersports and SSI and PADI courses are available.
The all-inclusive Serenity Plan offers a selection of freshly prepared snacks served at the cool Hedhikaa Hut, breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Courtyard, the resort’s main restaurant plus fine dining experiences. The Courtyard serves a delicious buffet, live cooking stations and theme night meals. The fine dining experiences must be pre-booked and include the resort’s vegetarian restaurant, Simply Veg and their seafood and grill restaurant, Just Grill. The number of fine dining experiences is dependant on the number of nights you are staying. Children under 16 years old can only dine at the fine dining restaurants during dinner at certain times. Guests can enjoy unlimited beverages from a selection plus limited numbers of signature cocktails. The Sangs is the main pool bar, The Rock is the gorgeous sunset bar built on stilts in a shallow lagoon and the One Banyan Island pool bar is just for adults.
The resort is very buzzy with plenty of activities and adventures. There are music and DJ nights, live musicians, sunset fishing trips, other excursions plus lots of watersports. There is an excellent selection of organised activities for children and young adults at the Kid’s Club.
The resort’s Elena Spa at the adult only One Banyan Island offers specially crafted wellness experiences, therapies and massages using luxurious products. There are 6 double treatment rooms, a yoga pavilion, a steam room and very professional staff who are waiting to offer these pampering treats. If you are staying for up to 7 nights with the package, you will be offered one 45 minute spa treatment, 8-11 days gives two treatments, 12-15 nights, three treatments and 16-19 nights includes four treatments. Of course, you can pay for more. Honeymooners, couples and adult friends can immerse themselves in secluded tranquility on the idyllic One Banyan Island.
The TGI Dive and Water Sports Centre enjoys a multilingual team of professionals who will take guests to discover the underwater wonders of the Maldives. Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Tern is a two bedroom beach villa. Guests are welcome to request extra beds or cots so that 2 adults and up to 4 children can stay or 4 adults and 2 children.
Oblu Select is a fantastic resort with a brilliant array of entertainment. Each of the villas is waterfront so children can enjoy the crystal clear water in minutes. The resort’s children’s club arranges an excellent variety of entertainment from sports to crafts. It is a great way to make friends and enjoy a special holiday. The non-motorised sports equipment is complimentary so children can enjoy snorkeling, pedalos, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. Older children may want to learn a new sport or diving which can be arranged.
The resort enjoys two fabulous swimming pools though children can only use the one on the main island. The other remains for adults only. On the beach, children will discover a small tower with a curly slide that lands in the water. It is brilliant fun. The villas are set amongst beautiful tropical gardens so it is a lovely place to play and enjoy the stunning scenery. The main restaurant is family friendly with an excellent buffet, special themed evenings and a regular Friday Gala Dinner. There are also special cooking stations so children have a wonderful variety of food to choose from.
Young adults over the age of 15 are welcome to enjoy spa treatments. What bliss and such a fabulous holiday treat!
