Located on a hillside with views of Lake Como, Casa Geranio is the ideal place to admire the picturesque landscape. You only need to drive a minute to reach Lake Como’s shore or twenty minutes to visit the gorgeous Lake Lugano.
Casa Geranio has a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary styles. Wooden ceilings with exposed beams on the top floor give it a rustic-yet-homely look, while the décor in the kitchen diner feels modern and fresh. The open-plan ground floor is ideal for sharing those special moments together – relax on the sofa or cook up an Italian feast for your loved ones. The dining table sits next to a large window, framing Lake Como, so you can admire the views while eating a delicious meal.
Outside the villa, you’ll find a private pool and outdoor furniture. Take an afternoon dip while admiring the striking scenery with its green hills and vast waters. The terrace offers a vantage point for the lake, sit with your morning cup of copy while soaking up the atmosphere.
When you’re not relaxing at the villa, you'll find lots to discover. There are lots of nearby restaurants, including a charming pizzeria just a one-minute drive away. You’ll also find a pleasant park just five minutes away by car. Here you’ll find waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and a fascinating disused watermill. Surrounded by such natural beauty, there are many hiking trails to choose from.
Drive under ten minutes to reach Menaggio, a lovely town with a lake promenade, pastel-coloured houses, and medieval buildings. From here, you can hop on a ferry and visit the other two towns in the golden triangle. Bellagio and Varenna are great places to explore, with colourful gardens, old churches, and cobbled streets. The ferry journey itself is a great way to experience the views that Lake Como provides.

The area nearby this villa has lots to offer. Indulge in Italy’s delicious cuisine by visiting the nearby pizzeria, which is only a one-minute drive away. Drive just five minutes to reach a stunning park filled with natural waterfalls, caves, and an old watermill. Hike through the forests and take in the beauty of nature. Thanks to the villa’s prime lakeside location, there are lots of opportunities to do water sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and sailing.
Hop in the car and drive less than ten minutes to reach Menaggio, a stunning town with a rich history and culture. Stroll along the lake promenade through the flowerbeds and past colourful houses. If you love history, the upper part of town is worth a visit. Characterised by stone architecture, twisting alleyways, and steep stairs, the old town has a medieval feel. When you need a break from exploring, visit the many lovely bars, cafes, and restaurants dotted around.
From Menaggio, you can take a ferry across Lake Como and visit what’s known as the ‘golden triangle'. Bellagio and Varenna, the other two cities in the triangle, are filled with cobbled streets, wine shops, and luscious gardens. There are many boat rides available, where you can experience the magical Lake Como with a whole new perspective.
Casa Geranio benefits from being close to another spectacular lake called Lake Lugano. In just 20 minutes, you can drive to Porlezza, which sits on the lake. Wander by the shore and admire the reflection of the buildings in the water before exploring the shops lining the cobbled streets. End your day with an Italian coffee by the lakeside.
For an amazing day trip, drive around 45 minutes to the centre of Lake Como. In this bustling town, you can take your pick from the many restaurants available and get a taste of genuine Italian cuisine. There is also a wide range of hiking trails that take you up the mountains, offering remarkable views of Lake Como.

Exquisite
Our stay at Casa Geranio was exquisite. The villa was very well furnished and the outdoor areas were superb, spoiling us with beautiful views of the lake and nearby Varenna. The team were very helpful upon our arrival and departure by providing maps, restaurant recommendations and highlighting local attractions. We will definitely return, can't wait.
