And Porto Heli Villa is a special, much loved holiday home where you will be thoroughly indulged in every way. There are not many places where you will be greeted with a delicious home-cooked meal and a fridge full of food and cooled wine and beer! Nothing is too much trouble at Porto Heli Villa. It is immediately clear how much effort has been made to make sure your holiday is magical and memorable.
Porto Heli is a much admired, cosmopolitan town on the northeastern Peloponnese coast. It is adored by international jet-set. Sprinkled amongst the lush hillsides and olive groves are designer villas with exquisite gardens and estates, many owned by rich ship magnets, politicians, artists and scientists, definitely those that learned the charms of this magnificent area early. Porto Heli Villa is situated on a wonderful plot in Agios Emilianos, a 15-minute drive from the town. You can take a 3-hour ferry from Athens to the port at Porto Heli or take the picturesque drive along the fabulous coastline and through the mountains. You can visit the delightful Hydra, Poros and Spetses Islands by boat or water taxi.
Porto Heli Villa is utterly charming, both inside and out. The garden is fabulous with mature, fragrant planting, lawns, alluring little quiet spots with charismatic seating arrangements and a play area for children with mini slides, swings and table and chairs. The pool terrace is wonderful with spectacular views out to sea and the islands. The lovely pool is surrounded by loungers and parasols, and there is an appealing covered alfresco dining area. The covered outdoor mini kitchen and barbecue is very appealing. There are plant pots everywhere, all brimming with colourful flowers and plants. This garden will certainly make you smile!
On the upper floor of this warm and inviting villa, there is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area as well as a bathroom and two bedrooms. The living area boasts an alluring beamed ceiling and a huge corner sofa. The views of the pool and terrace from the dining area are lovely. The kitchen is modern and open to the dining area through a huge serving hatch. The villa is designed in such a way that the inside and outside all seem as one. The views from every window are stunning.
The lower floor of the villa is home to the remaining two tasteful and comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom and a wonderful games room with a pool table, chess, lounge furniture and a bar. Just outside on the terrace is a table tennis table. The bedrooms are spacious and are comprised of 2 doubles, one twin and another bedroom with both a double bed and a single bed. In total, the villa sleeps up to 9 guests, each of which will, no doubt, have a wonderful time!
What you should know…
- Porto Heli Villa is nestled in the picturesque village of Agios Emilianos, close to the ports of Costa and Porto Heli, so it is very easy to visit the lovely islands of Hydra, Poros and Spetses by ferry, boat or water taxi
- There are no amenities near the villa, besides two lovely coves - it is highly recommended to hire a car
- The villa has a rustic and traditional decor throughout, so may not be the best choice for those looking for a contemporary-styled villa

Location
About the surrounding area of Porto Heli VillaPorto Heli Villa is located in the upmarket village of Agios Emilianos, very close to Porto Heli. There is no other area in Greece with such a concentration of wealth. It is easy to understand why in-the-know discerning globetrotters head to Porto Heli. It feels like a very laid-back version of the Amalfi Coast. The area is absolutely stunning, rich in interesting archaeological sites such as Halieis and there is a wonderful nightlife. Porto Heli’s coastline of inlets is calm and warm. You will see luxury yachts everywhere, together with the traditional wooden kaikis. Although incredibly rich, Porto Heli maintains a rustic, homely feeling, such a wonderful blend to ensure a memorable holiday, especially when you consider that this is also a foodie paradise.
The tourist-friendly island of Spetses is a 15-minute ride away from Costa harbour. Spetses’ tiny port of Dapia is overlooked by whitewashed, Neoclassical houses, cosy cafes and stylish boutiques. The winding, cobbled coastal path opens to a stunning, wide, timeless piazza and home to the glorious, chateau-style Poseidonion hotel. Cars are banned from the town, so visitors travel in horse-drawn carriages, admiring the fishermen laying out their catches, the impressive villas, domed churches and buzzy tavernas.
There are three stunning beaches close to the villa, Costa Beach, Hrisi Akti Beach and Porto Heli Beach. There are a number of pretty villages and towns to visit close by including Kranidi, Kilada, a small fishing village, the picturesque Ermioni and Epidaurus. Ermioni is built on a cape, surrounded by fragrant pine trees, so it strongly resembles an island. It boasts stunning beaches, a charismatic harbour lined with popular fish restaurants and some clubs. The beaches include little coves around Bisti, Kouverta Beach, Petrothalassa, Dardiza and Sentoni. Epidaurus is one of the most popular archaeological sites in Greece, mostly famous for its Ancient Theatre which is in an excellent state of conservation. During the summer there are festivals at the weekends.

Getting There
How to reach Peloponnese
You can easily reach Loutraki, the main seaside resort on the Peloponnese peninsula. Loutraki is located approximately 80 km from Athens and you can arrive to Loutraki through the National road.

Best Suited For: All AgesPorto Heli Villa is perfect for a family holiday. The villa is so welcoming and interesting. The garden is a delight with children’s toys and playground equipment as well as the wonderful swimming pool. Teenagers will adore the games room and the table tennis.
There are so many fantastic beaches to visit from Porto Heli. Lepitsa Beach at Ermioni is shallow for about 100m and is wonderfully sandy with a beach bar at the rear of the beach. There are cute little hidden coves and long sandy stretches around the coastline. Close to the villa are the beaches of Costa Beach, Hrisi Akti Beach and Porto Heli Beach. The rocky coves make it a fabulous area to snorkel and dive. The Ergo Dive Loumis Diving Team is just one of the diving schools where you can take courses with PADI and CMAS certification. Within 15 minutes by boat, you can be in crystal clear, turquoise water diving and seeing beautiful, colourful fish as well as underwater statues of Greek goddesses! Poseidon Sports is another company offering fantastic water sports.
In Kranidi, you can visit the Bairaktaris Apiary, the honey and bee museum of the region. There are glass beehives where you can observe how the bees work. You will learn about the honey flavours and enjoy seeing the old equipment, some of which is over 1000 years old. The museum is run by the welcoming Bairaktaris family who want you to have a wonderful day out. You can have a honey tasting while you are there.
Active children will enjoy hiking around Agios Emilianos and Porto Heli. There are many old footpaths across the region which lead to tiny chapels, small villages, secluded beaches and hilltops with breathtaking views out to sea.

We hope to return
Superb location. Beautiful pool. Everyone was very helpful and Christina cooked a meal for the first night which was wonderful. There was a very generous amount of food and drink provided. The villa was very clean and well equipped and Letta showed us around the locality while her husband Aris drove us to the ferry to go to Hydra which is well worth visiting. There is a Hapimag hotel nearby which has a good restaurant. Overall we loved it and hope to return.

Our welcome was fantastic
We had the pleasure to spend a week at Porto Heli Villa - and it was just a great stay!! The villa is very comfortable, spacious, well maintained and at a great location close to Porto Cheli.
Fantastic (sea)views from everywhere - the house has several terraces with seats to enjoy these. Also our welcome was fantastic - the owner welcomed us with homemade diner, ready for us and, something we have not experienced before, a full fridge! Cake and breakfast for next day was also prepared... That for us was a real surprise and great way to experience the Greek hospitality...!
On the second day the owner invited us to show us around the area to point out the best restaurants close to the villa, best beaches and locations where to take ferry to Spetses and Hydra, but also where to rent a motorboat. We followed up on all suggestions - and these were great insider tips!!
The house was cleaned inside/outside on very regular (almost every day...) basis as well - which gave the overall experience a more hotel experience. Perhaps less cleaning would be better for privacy - but this is just minor detail.
Can only highly recommend this villa! We truly had a great week!
