Mykonos is incredibly popular with the rich and famous, stemming from the Fifties and Sixties when Brigitte Bardot and Jackie Onassis were overwhelmed by its beauty and attractions. It is known as a party island with international DJ’s arriving to play at the sophisticated, chic beach bars of Paradise and Super Paradise Beaches but it has more to offer. There are pretty, whitewashed villages, astonishing beaches and gourmet offerings at the island’s many restaurants. The two main towns, Mykonos Town and Ano Mera, are charming and beautiful and attract many visitors.
Villa Erastos boasts a fabulous blend of typical Myconian style, contemporary features, driftwood decorations of the sea and luxury furnishings. It is brilliantly illuminated into a cheerful, dazzling space. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space is elegant and stunning. The seating area is built-in, and the kitchen is modern and streamlined. Huge doors open to the fabulous covered alfresco dining and lounge terrace. It is beautiful with quality dining furniture and stylish lighting and accessories. The terrace extends to the delightful pool with a jacuzzi and the sun lounging terrace and lush green lawn. The views are stunning. You can get out your holiday book and relax on one of the deluxe loungers. The perfect start to a brilliant holiday! The terrace has an excellent led lighting system and is also a brilliant spot to watch the glorious sunsets.
The two bedrooms are beautiful and boast huge beds and fabulous ensuite bathrooms with traditional white curved walls. One of the bedrooms has a built-in bed as well as access to a furnished terrace. Location
About the surrounding area of Villa ErastosVilla Erastos is located on an exclusive, small complex overlooking the stunning azure waters just 200 m from Elia Beach. Also very close are Kalo Livadi, Kalafatis and Agrari Beaches. Elia is family-friendly, offers watersports and beach dining as well as having one of the longest stretches of silver sand on the island. Agrari, next to Elia, is quieter. Kalafatis is busy and again offers many watersports. The beaches on the north of the island are popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers who want to catch the thrilling wind.
The picturesque village of Ano Mera is also very close to the villa. Tavernas, patisseries and cafes spill out onto the narrow, cobbled, atmospheric streets. There is a large supermarket and pharmacy as well for your needs. You will get a real feel for how people live on the island in Ano Mera. You can also visit the fantastic, restored Panagia Tourlaina Monastery which houses holy icons and paintings in a whitewashed complex. The vibe is rustic-chic and utterly charming.
The vibrant Mykonos Town is the second biggest attraction of the island, after the beaches. The inviting warren of narrow lanes, bedecked with colourful bougainvillaea, is lined with quirky art galleries, label-laden classy boutiques, picturesque ancient churches and a huge variety of restaurants. The bougainvillaea-draped Matogliani Street is famous for designer shopping. You can make a stop at the Archaeological Museum to discover an interesting collection of figurines, jewellery and pottery or visit the Aegean Maritime Museum to see a wide range of ancient nautical instruments and vessels.
Mykonos Brewing Company is the only microbrewery on the island. You can visit to taste unusual beers and wine-barrel aged beers. While tasting the beers, you wil be told the myths surrounding Mykonos.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesMykonos Town is great for an evening’s entertainment. You will see children up pretty late in the evenings though they usually disappear before the parties start. The open-air cinema shows films suitable for children at 9pm. It is set in a pretty botanical garden which also has a restaurant for dinner. There is a huge variety of food available on Mykonos. Gioras is the oldest bakery on the island and is famous for its popular flaky filo pastry spinach and feta pies. Children will find the museums interesting if they are interested in finding out how it was to live on Mykonos hundreds of years earlier. When you are wandering around, you may well see the island’s mascot, Petros the Pelican in the town. Children love shopping for souvenirs and little gifts to take back home. There are plenty of opportunities in the town and especially at Little Venice.
The villa is situated right next to the wonderful Elia Beach. There are watersports, sun loungers, parasols and cafes. The beaches of Kalafatis, Kalo Livadi and Agrari are very close by. Kalo Livadi offers an amazing view of the Aegean archipelago and Naxos Island as well as shimmering, crystal-clear water. Agrari Beach is ideal for children as it has calm, shallow water and a small playground. It is popular with locals as well as tourists. Platys Gialos is also popular for watersports including kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and flyboarding. Children love the gigantic bean bags at the trendy Panormos Beach Club. There are a number of dive schools on the island who visit the reefs in Kalo Livadi.
Cycling is popular in Mykonos. Yummy Pedals, Mykonos arrange cycling tours where visitors enjoy the unique and peaceful beaches of the north coast, lovely lush hillsides, the Vioma organic farm and vineyard where visitors can taste the local products and pretty villages.
