The lovely Villa Chariton is an excellent, attractive, secluded estate in the Kanalia area, 500m from the nearest beach, 1.5km from Ornos Beach and 5km from the vibrant Mykonos Town. Built on a fabulous 4000 sqm plot offering magnificent views, the main villa is one of the larger on the island at 605 sqm with a delightful guest house of 60 sqm. It offers stunning, comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 bedrooms. The sensational, panoramic views of the brilliant blue Aegean waters, Mykonos Town, the harbours and the breathtaking sunsets can be seen from no less than 12 outside terraces and lounges! The main villa boasts five wonderful bedroom suites sleeping ten guests and the charming guest house has one lovely bedroom and a sofa bed in the living space.
The Kanalia region is exclusive and one of Mykonos’ most in-demand locations. Ornos is upmarket and fabulous with an excellent, sheltered beach boasting numerous beachfront restaurants and wooden water taxis that ferry guests to visit the chain of beaches on the south coast. Mykonos Town is picturesque with atmospheric churches, label-laden boutiques and charming art galleries.
Incredible attention has been devoted to making this estate comfortable and gorgeous. The decoration is elegant and sophisticated with attractive, wooden furniture, chestnut beamed ceilings and large antiquated California floor marbles. In traditional Cycladic style, there are curved white walls everywhere, so pleasing on the eye. The exterior is exquisite, surrounded by carved granite rocks, with a delightful pool bar, excellent swimming pool, large pergolas, a barbecue and wood-fired oven, a bio vegetable garden, sun loungers, alfresco dining and numerous chill-out lounge areas. You can always find a private spot in this estate to relax and enjoy the surroundings and your holiday read!
The ground level of the main villa consists of a stunning open plan living and dining area that is open to a very attractive, well-equipped kitchen through a series of arches and a very spacious hallway. The living room picture window is enormous and frames the stunning view. The ambience is warm and inviting, not at all pretentious, but there is no doubt that this is a comfortable, luxurious villa. The lower level of the main house is home to 4 astonishing double bedrooms, all with beautiful ensuite bathrooms. The glorious master bedroom suite is on the upper level with not only a luxury ensuite bathroom, but it also boasts a hall and dressing room.
The delightful guest house has a double bedroom, a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a sofa bed and a lovely bathroom. This would be particularly popular with grandparents or a small family wanting to enjoy a little private time as well as spending their holiday with extended family.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CharitonVilla Chariton is located 15 minutes drive away from the buzzy Mykonos Town. Mykonos is best known as an upmarket party destination, often dubbed the Ibiza of Greece, with famous DJ’s, classy beach bars offering champagne lunches and a nightlife going on well into the morning. This 33 square mile island has another side though with stunning beaches, azure blue waters, lush hillsides and pretty whitewashed villages. The islands most recognisable landmarks are the pretty windmills of Mykonos, close to Little Venice. The windmills were built by the Venetians in the 16th century and used to mill barley and wheat. There used to be 28 dotted around the island. You will get some of the best sunset photographs at the windmills.
Ornos Beach, close to the villa, is home to a diving school and a windsurfing school. It can get crowded so go early. There are some fantastic seafood restaurants. The western Agios Ioannis Beach was the setting for the famous Shirley Valentine film. Platis Gialos Beach is very popular for watersports, as is Kalafatis Beach. The northern beaches tend to be more secluded but can be very breezy. Kitesurfers tend to head there.
From the port of Mykonos Town, you can take a ferry or boat trip to the sacred island of Delos, the birthplace of the twins of Zeus and Leto, Apollo and Artemis. You will be there in half an hour. If you find the life of Greek gods interesting, you could always take Circe by Madeline Miller as your holiday read! You can explore the Avenue of Lions, the sanctuary of Artemis and the Temples of Apollo on the island.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Chariton is perfect for an extended family holiday or for several families wanting to travel together. It sleeps up to 12 guests, 2 of which can use the guest house. The villa and outdoor areas are incredibly spacious with excellent, comfortable furnishings.
Villa Chariton is just 1.5km from the fabulous sandy beach of Ornos. It is an excellent beach for families with a diving and windsurfing school, shallow water plus it is sheltered, away from the strong winds. Other family-friendly beaches include Kalafatis, Elia and Platys Gialos on the south coast. The northern beaches are usually quieter and are fantastic for windsurfing and kitesurfing due to the winds usually prevailing.
Children love strolling around Mykonos Town. There is a fantastic choice of restaurants, and you will see children up pretty late in the evenings. The party scene usually takes over at around 11 pm. The open-air cinema puts on films suitable for children as well as adults. The 9 pm showing is the one families usually attend in the pretty, lush garden square.
When visiting the pretty village of Ano Mera in the centre of the island, you can also visit an animal and organic farm. You can learn how the farm has been used in different ways over the years. Today the farm focuses on organic farming and a return to more traditional ways of farming.
You can take various boat trips from the harbour at Mykonos. One of the trips with take you to Rineia Island’s north beach for swimming, then onto the island of Delos where you can explore the impressive ancient ruins.
