From the moment you arrive at Villa Fire, the lines between indoor and outdoor are blurred, seemingly blending into each other with the interiors elegantly opening to the terraces and the breath-taking surroundings drifting in through every window, with rays of light enlivening each corner of the villa. With views to the hills and mountains of Apokoronas, extending to the glistening sea of Souda Bay, Villa Fire is a brilliant reflection of the diverse scenery that surrounds it.
After entering the front door, the villa opens out into an open-plan kitchen and dining area, with a lounge just two steps down, separated by an elegant glass balustrade. The sunken effect of the living room paired with an atmospheric fireplace creates a warmth to the space, perfect for cosy evenings in, or when you need a break from the outdoor heat. The kitchen itself is fully-equipped, with room for several guests to cook and dine together, maybe even getting kids involved! The furnishings throughout are modern and stylish, with a bright and airy atmosphere, creating a luxurious feel to each corner of the villa.
Downstairs there is an en-suite double room with access to a private terrace. The bedrooms adopt the same elegant styles as the rest of the house, with touches of colour and soft fabrics creating a more relaxed atmosphere. Upstairs a twin and a double room both benefit from en-suites and access to private balconies, with stunning views. Guests can awake in the comfort of fresh sheets and luxurious bedding whilst gazing out to the horizon and truly enjoying their spectacular surroundings.
Whether you are upstairs on a balcony, down on the terrace or swimming in the private heated pool, there is no end to the luxury of this villa. A stylish dining area sits under a partial cover, so you and your guests can enjoy private al-fresco meals each evening, cooking up a storm on the barbecue whilst the sun sets on the horizon. Villa Fire has something for everyone, an idyllic base for enjoying the sunshine and exploring all that Crete has to offer!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa FireVilla Fire has a fabulous location in the small village of Kokkino Chorio, close to the larger village of Plaka where helpful amenities and picturesque pebbled beaches can be found. A little further along the coastline, just a 5-minute car journey away, is the resort of Almyrida which boasts a wider range of amenities as well as clean, family-friendly sandy beaches. Chania itself is just forty minutes away by car, with its picturesque Venetian harbour, it really is a must visit. Chania International Airport is conveniently situated just forty-five minutes away.
With gorges to be walked, ancient sites to be visited, time trodden villages to be discovered, and stunning sandy beaches to be lazed upon, this is the perfect Greek destination for holidaymakers of any age. Plus, food is in abundance. Look out for fresh seafood and traditional Greek moussaka.
The villa is 30km from the beautiful city of Chania. There you’ll find a charming Venetian Harbour and old port, alongside narrow shopping streets and waterfront restaurants. From Chania, it’s a two-hour drive to the island's capital Heraklion where you can immerse yourself in ancient culture. The vibrant port city is best known for the Palace of Knossos. The archaeological site dates back thousands of years to the Minoan civilisation. Guarding the city’s Venetian port is the 16th-century Koules fortress. A drive around Heraklion will also bring you to traditional villages, Medieval castles, Byzantine monasteries and secluded coves.

How to reach Chania
There are two ways to reach Chania: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: Chania Airport (CHQ) is only a 20 minutes ride away from central Chania. During the summer months, frequents overseas and domestic flights are performed. In most of the cases, there are available buses that connect Chania city and most of the villas. You can also hire a car from one of the many rental companies at the airport, or alternatively get a taxi to bring you right to your doorstep.
By ferry: If you choose to do an island-hopping trip and use the ferry as a method of transportation, then the closest port is in Souda, only 8km from the centre of Chania. Only ferries from Piraeus in Athens or Heraklion in Crete. Heraklion port has a wider choice: you can also take a ferry from other Greek islands like Santorini, Mykonos or Paros, but you will have to take a longer bus ride to reach your villa. We think the children will love the amazing pool, the panoramas from the terrace, and the chance to enjoy a meal outside in the fresh air. There’s all the tech you would hope for, from Wi-Fi to big-screen TV, and the location is great too. You won’t run out of beautiful child-friendly beaches or tempting eateries to visit, and attractions like the Limnoupolis Water Park outside Chania, is just a short drive away.
