Luxurious Daios Wellness Villa is perched on a rocky cliff above a sparkling cove, towards the eastern tip of Crete, part of the Daios Cove Resort. This villa enjoys breath-taking vistas of the Aegean Sea and offers you the ultimate wellness experience with your own Finnish sauna, treadmill and an oversized round bathtub. Oh, and did we mention you have access to all the resort’s top-notch facilities?
The perfect vacation for small families or friends, the Villa comfortably sleeps two to four adults or two adults and two to three children or infants. The stylish bedrooms are equally seductive and serene with king-size beds, all-natural Egyptian linen bedding and the choice of feather and memory foam pillows. Décor is modern with cream walls and contemporary furnishings.
The comfortable living room, equipped with sofas and a satellite LCD TV, has direct access to the sun-drenched roof terrace, furnished with several sun loungers and chairs. Take a cooling dip in your private seawater swimming pool or put your feet up with your favourite book. With an outdoor dining area too, you can enjoy your complimentary morning coffee or tea and dine al fresco.
Extra ‘luxe’ features include an outdoor rain shower and air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout. During your stay at Villa Clio, you can benefit from the resort’s sports and fitness facilities, including a tennis court and yoga and Pilates classes. About the surrounding area of Daios Wellness VillaVathi is a seaside village on the south-west side of Sifnos in Crete. It’s a picturesque port with a sandy beach and deep blue waters surrounded by rocky cliffs. This peaceful Greek island is a popular holiday destination due to its rugged mountainous landscape – perfect for walks, hikes and treks – alongside its beautiful stretches of coastline and colourful history.

Nearby, the Dikteon Andron caves at Psychro, Oropedio Lasithiou are worth visiting, as are the temple ruins at Knossos, which date back up to 4,000 years. The town of Agios Nikolaos, the capital of Lasithi, is a 10-minute drive and 20 minutes takes you to the fishing village of Elounda. In Agios Nikolaos, you can head to the harbour and Voulismeni Lake, where you’ll find restaurants, shops and cafés lining the waterfront. Try fresh seafood and Cretan cheeses or relax with a cooling drink.
In the town, the beaches of sandy Ammos and pebbly Kytroplatia are popular choices with clear, calm waters that are ideal for younger swimmers, and they’re close to all the amenities of the town. For a change of scenery, you could go north to Ammoudi with a longer stretch of coastline, Almyros Beach which is set in a sheltered cove or Havania Beach on the northern outskirts of the town.
For fun day trips from Agios Nikolas, you can jump on a boat to explore more of Crete’s scenic coastline and secluded, rocky coves. You can visit Spinalonga, the smallest of the Cretan islands, with its old Venetian fortress, and you can swim or snorkel off the beaches on the Kolokytha Peninsula.

There’s also an outdoor playground, and a water sports centre, where they can try everything from water-skiing and canoeing to scuba diving and tennis.
In Agios Nikolas, there are sandy beaches with calm, clear waters that are ideal for swimming. For fun day trips, you can explore the local area and nearby islands by boat. There are also historical sites including monasteries and churches and plenty of places to eat.

Just Amazing
This was our 5th consecutive year and the resort itself remains as immaculate as the first time we went. The staff, without exception, are fantastic, always smiling and will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as they can. The food was great, we ate in the Pangea and Taverna which were both excellent. Love the chilled atmosphere for pre and post dinner drinks. The pool and beach are both very well maintained and the staff always make sure you have everything you want. The views are spectacular from all aspects and the rooms just perfect - this year we were lucky to stay in Villa Clio which was just amazing. We have, over the years stayed in a variety of the rooms here and I can honestly say they have all been great and exceed the expectations you arrive with, and certainly beat most of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in (and there have been a fair few!).
So, as you can imagine we will be returning next year. Thank you for another fabulous holiday.
