Overview
Villa Rana sleeps up to 6 and enjoys a truly delightful location. Nestled in a colourful Mediterranean garden this handsome villa is within walking distance of the lovely Agni beach which boasts three wonderful waterfront tavernas and just one of several stunningly beautiful beaches found along this privileged coastal road heading north from the islands capital, Corfu Town.
The interiors are bright and welcoming and rather stylishly furnished with each bedroom boasting incredible views overlooking the private garden, large private swimming pool and the village of Agni below - truly mesmerising. The lovely barbecue area next to the impressive swimming pool is sure to be the focal point of meal times. The excellent facilities don’t end there though, as the thoughtful owner has positioned a lovely hot tub on the upstairs balcony, where many a romantic evening can be spent indulging in the bubbles!
We suspect that many an evening will be spent in the iconic village of Agni, where you will find a handful of delightful waterfront restaurants, a couple of trendy café bars and an extremely well stocked mini market. No visit to Corfu would be complete without investigating the many fascinating hillside villages or the truly spectacular golden sandy beaches for which Corfu has become rightly renowned. Such is the scale of this captivating island, and the ideal location of Villa Rana, these ‘must visit’ villages and beaches can all be reached within 45 minutes by car.

What you should know…
- Although the nearest restaurants and cafés can be reached on foot but remember to take a torch with you for scrambling back to your villa at night!
- The villa is located in a hilltop - even though the grounds are fenced, it is recommended to take extra care with the little ones
- The iconic UNESCO World Heritage City of Corfu is a must visit, with its Venetian buildings, Roman Fortress(es) and cricket pitch

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa RanaVilla Rana is 500 metres from an exquisite pebble beach, approached by a rollercoaster of rocks, with turquoise sea and perfect for snorkelling. The beach had fantastic seafood tavernas, and is sitting on the north-east coast, often said to be the best side of the island, just 20 km from Corfu Town.
The town of Agni is known for its excellent waterside tavernas and breath-taking views across the sea to the Albanian mountains in the distance. Agni literally translates as ‘unspoilt’ in Greek, which describes the bay perfectly. Local places to visit are Nissaki, Barbati, Ipsos, Avlaki and Kalami. A drive to Agios Giorgios is worthwhile, by way of a beautiful road across the mountainous ridge of the island. Stop at Bella Vista, for a jaw-dropping panorama of the Paleokastritsa coast, and climb up to the base of Angelokastro, an awesomely-sited Byzantine castle which, in Venetian hands, so thwarted the Turks that they never took Corfu.

The Island/Getting There
One of the largest and greenest of the Ionian Islands, Corfu is far more than its trademark blue-hued seas and sandy coastline. With its UNESCO World Heritage status and unbeatable strolling opportunities, there is no better place to start exploring than the main town and its historic old quarter, where ancient churches, scattered ruins and a handful of museums mean Corfu’s layers of history can be found just about everywhere. And if you’re in need of a cosy abode, take a look at our flawless villas in Corfu.

A Relaxing Holiday
Very spacious & fabulous location. Wonderful views of the bay with only a 10 minute walk to the beach and the road wasn’t too steep! I would certainly return. It was the perfect villa for a relaxing holiday.

Great Location, Beautiful Setting
Villa Rana is a six minute walk up the hill from Agni Bay in Corfu and while there are hundreds of these little bays this is the one you want to be at - it has three PERFECT restaurants and a lovely beach and it’s close to everything you’d want to do and see while in Corfu. The Villa itself is two years old with a stunning view of the bay and surroundings and a gorgeous infinity pool on the front deck. Open floor plan on the main floor with a nice kitchen and living room/dining room area and big windows opening up to the pool and the deck - all of it perfectly done. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit less glamorous - beds creak a bit, water pools a bit in the showers and the televisions in the bedrooms are tiny (not that you’d use them anyway - you’re going to be at the beach or by the pool). Overall this is a great villa for a family or a few couples. We had a few small issues and both the owner and the LR team did a great job helping resolve these - book it, you’ll love it.
