The Barbati Beach Houses are just the perfect choice for two families taking a holiday together or perhaps a multi-generational family or a group of friends. These two immaculate, contemporary villas are located on a stunning beachside plot. They are identical 3 bedroom homes so in total sleep up to 12 guests. Side by side, they boast stunning panoramic views of one of the most sensational beaches on Corfu, Barbati Beach. Barbati is a small charming seaside village with a beautiful mountain backdrop located on Corfu’s North East coast, approximately 18km from Corfu Town. Barbati offers traditional beachside tavernas, supermarkets, gift shops and bars as well as breathtaking views across to Corfu Town. Not far away, you will find the famous Durrell White House in Kalami and the very charming Kouloura Bay.

Each of these delightful villas enjoys its own 80 sqm swimming pool, again side by side.  What fun family games you could have! Think races, think splashing, think throwing balls from one pool to the other! The grounds of the two villas are huge at 2000 sqm. To the front of the villas, you will discover large lawns and majestic entrances to the villas. To the rear, guests enjoy spacious terraces with alfresco dining, deluxe loungers to enjoy the sunshine,  swimming pools and a charming garden area next to the beach with a cute chapel and ancient olive trees. Next stop is the beach! What bliss!

The ground floor of the villas is home to the contemporary open plan living space as well as one of the bedroom suites. The chef’s dream of a kitchen is sleek and stylish with all the appliances you could wish for. The elegant living room overlooks the azure Ionian Sea and the swimming pool terrace. It is beautifully furnished with sumptuous sofas and other trendy furniture. The villas enjoy a lovely, calm neutral colour palette, perfect for relaxing and enjoying these magical spaces. The downstairs bedroom boasts twin beds which are generally next to each other forming one huge bed though they do offer flexible sleeping arrangements. This bedroom opens directly to the terrace, perfect for popping out for an early morning swim or your early morning cup of coffee. Like all three ensuite bathrooms, the bathroom enjoys beautiful tiles and outstanding fittings. The walk-in showers are huge and make you want to linger!

The second floor of the villas is home to two double bedrooms, both with immaculate ensuite bathrooms and with access to a large terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful, dazzling vistas.

Guests staying at the Barbati Beach Houses enjoy a wonderful beachfront setting. Literally in minutes you are on the beach but the villas also maintain complete privacy and seclusion, a perfect combination for an unforgettable holiday. Just think, your own little paradise watching the sun going down over the beach with a cool glass in your hand and the villa barbecues on the go! Perfect! If you book as two families, there is an incredible amount of space to enjoy time together but the set-up also allows for some private family time. Be prepared though, if you are holidaying with teenagers, they just might want one of the villas to themselves!

Barbati is a fabulous spot for a summer holiday. With fantastic scenery all around, it boasts some wonderful restaurants and bars as well as useful shops and a gorgeous white pebble and shingle beach. You can hire a boat and explore the coastline. The views really are stunning as behind the majestic mountains stand proud, in front the azure Ionian Sea dazzles and across the water you can see Corfu Town and even the Albanian coastline. You will certainly get a flavour of the real Corfu when staying in Barbati.

The beautiful, atmospheric resort of Kassiopi is 17km from the villas in the lively north eastern corner of Corfu. With the dramatic Mount Pantokrator overlooking the resort and with a stunning harbour, this once quiet fishing village is very popular and very attractive. It boasts charming narrow streets overlooked by the ruins of an ancient Byzantine castle and breathtaking views out to sea towards the Albanian coast. There is a gorgeous walk you can take around the headland.

Corfu Town or Kerkyra as it is otherwise known, is one of the most beautiful, graceful and elegant towns in Greece. Though 7th in size, it is one of the most populated in the whole of the Ionian Islands. The town’s stunning architecture has many influences including Sicilian, Venetian, French and English. Corfu Town is brimming with elegant mansions, magnificent palaces, beautiful squares, no fewer than 39 churches and majestic fortresses. You should not miss The Liston and the Church of Saint Spiridon. The entire Old Town is declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, a tightly-packed warren of winding lanes bursting with lively bars, unique shops and fine restaurants. You will also see timeless alleys with the day’s washing stretching from balcony to balcony. It is beautiful.

There is so much to see and do on Corfu. Corfu has over 120 beaches in total, a few hundred villages, nearly a thousand churches, a significant mountain range, valleys, waterfalls and forests as well as more than 3 million olive trees, three lagoons and numerous caves. The fauna and flora is world famous due to the Durrell family and especially since the TV series.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

The Barbati Beach Houses are perfect for family holidays. With the two villas being side by side, children will be heaven to have some of their friends along with them or perhaps cousins or other family members. The swimming pools and huge gardens are amazing. A major plus of these villas is the location. They are right on the beach where children can enjoy the crystal clear azure water and perhaps a boat trip or two.

Family entertainment on Corfu is endless. There are many beaches to choose from, from hidden, quiet coves to magnificent, highly organised stretches of sand with a huge array of watersports. Some of the best East oast beaches besides Barbati are Agios Ioannis Peristeron, Perama, Dassia, Ipsos, Agni, Kouloura and Kalami. Kalami is the village where Lawrence Durrell lived in the 1930’s. It is now a small resort with several tavernas including the White House, where the Durrells lived. On the North coast, Kassiopi, Acharavi and Roda are very popular.

Children love Aqualand, Corfu’s water park. It is just the place for a thrilling day out. The park caters for all ages and boasts a lazy river, wave pool, kayaking, rafting and extreme slides such as the Double Twister, Kamikaze and the Hurricane Twist.

For a completely different, non-water based day you could head to the majestic Mount Pantokrator. It is the highest peak in Corfu and a popular pilgrim spot. It boasts the most amazing views of the whole of Corfu Island. On a clear day you can even see Albania and Italy even though Italy is 130km away!

In Corfu Town, children enjoy climbing the walls of the Old Fortress, the Venetian fort built in the 15th century and the New Fortress. The fortresses boast fantastic views of the turquoise waters. Also in Corfu Town, you can take a trip in Kalypso Star, the glass-bottomed boat that leaves the harbour to explore the Ionian Sea’s fascinating marine life. A 10 minute boat trip from Corfu Town takes you to the tiny island of Vidos where you can enjoy feeding the rabbits, seeing the peacocks, swimming and having lunch at the charming taverna.
