Located on the east coast of the Greek island of Corfu, the estate is just a five minute walk to the nearest village. The property is a scenic half hour drive from the international airport of Ioannis Kapodistrias, along the island’s coastline. If you are island hopping, there are two ports in Corfu town, and a twenty kilometre journey to your destination. In the village you will find supermarkets stocked with provisions to cater for your holiday, and local tavernas where you can enjoy traditional Corfiot dishes, most especially freshly caught seafood by the seashore. The estate comes with a concierge service that can arrange anything from private tours and boat trips, to your own chef, and in-villa spa treatments.
Messonghi is the nearest beach, a short one hundred metre, five minute walk away, with its white pebbles and crystal clear waters. Corfu has two hundred and seventeen kilometres of coastline, which is populated with beautiful organised beaches, including the recommended Chalikouna, Alonaki Bay, Halikouna, Paleokastritsa, Glyfada, and most notably St George’s in the south, with the longest sandy beach, and fabulous facilities. Don’t tell anyone, but do visit the secret beach of Arkoudillas, on the southern tip of the island. For those who want to keep fit the island offers a whole host of activities, including hiking, mountain biking, cycling, yoga, walking tours, snorkelling and scuba diving, horse riding, water rafting, sailing, and an international golf course too.
Corfu is steeped in ancient and modern history, with ruins and temples two thousand years old, medieval fortifications, Byzantine fortresses, Venetian palaces, Greek Orthodox cathedrals, churches, and monasteries, and museums galore. The UNESCO World Heritage site of Corfu old town is well worth a visit. The old town dates back to before the time of Greek myths, with thousands of years of history, Venetian architecture, French influences, and English rule, and only a thirty minute drive from the villa. Follow the ancient winding streets to discover fortresses and palaces, Byzantine and Archaeological museums, destination squares, thirty seven churches and a cathedral, souvenir shops, and a whole host of inviting restaurants, cafes, and bars. Visit Achilleion Palace, once the summer home of Sisi, Elizabeth, Empress of Austria, take a trip to Mon Repos Palace, the summer residence of the King of Greece, and birthplace of Prince Philip, or see the home made famous by Gerald Durrell’s My Family and Other Animals. For the twitchers, the protected Korission Lagoon near the south coast village of Agios Matteos is a must, with over a hundred and twenty bird species and some notable butterflies set in sand dunes, its nature’s paradise.
Get a taste of Corfu with an olive oil or wine tour, sample the delights, then take some home with you. If it’s nightlife you are after, many of the beach clubs offer after sundown sets, top of the list is Pazuzu Club in Glyfada, or Fabrica at Acharavi. Party until dawn at the holiday hot spot destinations of Sidari, Acharavi or Kavos, or take a gamble at the Corfu Casino. Venture a few kilometres north to Benitses Bay, where you can take daily boat trips, cruise along the shore, or island hop to Paxoi and Antipaxoi, tiny islets in the Ionian Sea.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThere’s loads for kids to do and see when you holiday on the island of Corfu, Starting with the property, and your own private infinity swimming pool, and as there’s no set hours they can play and splash all day. Your older children will love playing on the ping pong and table football, and enjoy watching their favourite films on the alfresco projector. The nearest beach of Messonghi is just five minutes away, with its white pebbles, and crystal clear water that makes it great for snorkelling, lots of family friendly cafes and restaurants, and local boat trips around the bay. Other recommended family-friendly beaches are Paleokastritsa, near the old fortress, Agios Gordios on the west coast next to a church, and Glyfada, Nissaki and Ipsos beaches, for being organised and offering great facilities.
All the family will enjoy a day out to the Aqualand Corfu Water Park, where they can slip down the forty nine different slides, splash in pools, jump in the jacuzzi, and play video games. Your daredevil offspring will be thrilled with a day out at Sidari Watersports, where they can parasail across the complex. For those seeking adventure, your kids can try their sea legs wakeboarding, water skiing, or stand up paddleboarding, and if they don’t take to the water, there’s a whizz around the island Vespa tour. In the Corfu Aquarium your children will love spotting fifty species of the local fish. For the more adventurous, don their walking boots and go Radar Hiking where they can discover, just like Gerald Durrell, author of My Family and Other Animals, the flora and fauna of the island. If you don’t fancy walking, take a Jeep or Quad Bike Safari across off-road terrain, and stop at authentic villages, where you can learn about Corfu culture and traditions.
All aboard the daily boats from Benitses Bay, superb for a swim and snorkel in the sea, and a barbeque on board. Charter your very own private yacht for a family fun lazy day at sea, just ask the on-site concierge, and they’ll arrange it all for you. Take the kids to Corfu town, where they can climb ancient fortifications, explore Byzantine and Venetian castles, stroll through the public gardens, listen to bands at the music pavilion, and play cricket on the English pitch in the old square. Visit many of the museums, including the unique Banknote Museum, displaying Greek money from coins to the Euro, and the Doll Museum in the Casa Palante, which brings traditional Corfu society to life. And if all that gets too tiring, hop aboard the city bus tour for a sample of all the major sites and sights!

Can't wait to return!
The Kerkyra Estate Experience starts the moment the gates open to let you drive to the front entrance. You are welcomed like a long lost family member and made to feel right at home! I couldn't stop taking photos as every time the light changed the buildings, arches, plants, trees, etc looked more beautiful. Dedicated to sustainability and organic gardening the food is grown on the estate whenever possible or sourced locally. Simple and delicious Greek cuisine! I enjoyed my stay so much especially the infinity pool, the views and the staff who did so much to make me feel at home.

Just wonderful
We had the most wonderful week at Kerkyra Estate in July '22 for our wedding. The estate is truly tranquil, has photographic potential at every turn, with sublime sunrise and sunsets. Credit to Chryssa and team for restoring Kerkyra to maybe even better than its former glory. A high spec whilst keeping the character of the estate in tact. This is a place that will age beautifully if cared for as it is today.
The in-house team are very hard working and were available at any time for questions which we really did appreciate. Liliana specifically is a super talented chef! Kerkyra gave us an unforgettable experience and once in a lifetime memories our family will never forget. -
Great memories made
We had an amazing time at the Kerkyra Estate staying for the Beaches of Corfu week in June. Kerkyra is a traditional 18th century Venetian estate incorporating a central manor house enclosed in a courtyard by numerous buildings which contain the various spacious bedroom suites.
The vast outdoor space has olive groves and breath-taking views over the hills and Ionian Sea while the infinity pool will help you rest and recuperate.
Chryssa is a wonderful host and her team took care of us with delicious meals and curated excursions to a variety of amazing local beaches.
We will cherish the memories of our special time at Kerkyra. -
Fab
A beautiful holiday villa, in a beautiful part of Corfu. I have stayed here twice and highly recommend it. The rooms are huge, with large shower rooms and gorgeous views over the garden towards the sea. The Olive press is an amazing room with views over the hills and sea. We enjoyed delicious meals cooked by Liliana.
The closest beach is only a 5 minute walk away, together with the bars and restaurants of Messonghi. -
We stay every year!
We stay at Kerkyra at least once a year. Its a place where time can stand still and quality time be spent with family.
The facilities and services are what you'd expect for a place like this - their chef is phenomenal and truly introduces you to delicious Corfiot cuisine although she can turn her hand to anything you request.
The space is perfectly designed. I felt close and connected to my family but at the same time able to have my own space. I found it hugely child friendly and my children were able to explore the grounds and farm safely.
All in all, if you have the opportunity to stay here - you must!
