Maison Motif is full of character with its exposed stone walls and there’s an air of rustic simplicity. Yet its careful renovation has also resulted in contemporary touches, ensuring a sense of modern comfort and style with three pretty bedrooms and two bright bathrooms. Quirky additions such as the mezzanine level ensure the best use of space is made across the bergerie and its studio.
Outside, enjoy the rural calm as you play boules, cool off in the swimming pool or sip a chilled glass of AOC Luberon wine on the little terrace – this is a wonderful place for relaxation and spending quality time with loved ones.
A short drive from a little village with a restaurant and shop, other gems of the Luberon can also be reached such as Van Gogh’s beloved Gordes and the picture-perfect perched village of Roussillon. Experience the charm of the Farmer’s market in Apt on a Saturday morning or visit the antique shops of enchanting L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Not forgetting the historic city of Avignon, well under an hour by car from this captivating part of Provence.

About the surrounding area of Maison MotifMaison Motif is on the edge of the mesmerising Luberon region, part of the Vaucluse department in southern France, a short drive from a small village.
The local village is relatively undiscovered compared to some of its neighbours yet it’s still very pretty, set amongst fields and with lovely rooftop views from its main square. Gordes is also close by, one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ with its enchanting winding lanes, charming shops, restaurants and Provençal market.
Other highlights of the Luberon include idyllic perched villages such as Roussillon, Ménerbes and Bonnieux or head further south to visit picturesque Lourmarin, a village so loved by Albert Camus. The Luberon also offers many wonderful walking, hiking and cycling opportunities, not to mention wine-tasting across its AOC vineyards.
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is another incredibly attractive town to visit, especially on a Sunday morning with its famous Farmer’s market and brocante or spend the day in the small city of Avignon with its world famous UNESCO World Heritage sites.
