Les Roses Blanches is all about high-end modern living in incredibly characterful surroundings. The traditionally styled villa has exposed stone walls, wood beamed ceilings and cool tiled floors yet is filled with chic furnishings, majestic art-work and modern amenities. The contemporary and vast open-plan living, dining and kitchen space is superb with light flooding in from doors leading to the idyllic garden and terraces.

A hammam and fitness room add to the splendid ambience here, that said you may just wish to spend your days lazing in the rose-filled gardens and dipping into the heated mirrored swimming pool. Kids will love the spacious lawns for running around or perhaps a game of boules. The covered terrace with a large wooden table by the stone barbecue is a joyful place to spend time with family and friends enjoying Provençal feasts on long summery evenings.

Set just outside Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, within a few minutes you can be wandering around the cobbled lanes, discovering little art galleries or dining in one of the town’s excellent restaurants, whether a Michelin starred establishment or traditional bistro. Other idyllic villages include Les Baux-de-Provence, Maussane-les-Alpilles and Eygalières, all incredibly charming places set in the Alpilles Natural Park.

Cycle through magical landscapes of olive groves, vineyards and undulating hills, follow walking trails with wonderful views or play golf in beautiful surroundings. The cities of Avignon and Arles can be easily reached and both the enchanting Luberon and Camargue regions are also waiting to be explored.

Les Roses Blanches offers charm, character and contemporary design in a wonderful part of southern France filled with delightful villages and Provençal landscapes of this glorious region.

Les Roses Blanches is located a short drive from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in a countryside location with other villas dotted around. The views towards Les Alpilles mountains from the vast gardens are beautiful.

It’s just under a ten-minute drive to St-Rémy where you will find many excellent restaurants (including Michelin starred establishments), atmospheric cafes under the plane trees and pretty wine bars serving some of the region’s loveliest wines. The Wednesday morning Farmer’s market is also a real treat.

The town is most famous for its little boutiques and art galleries selling local artist’s work, many who have chosen to live in this area. On some summer Sundays many artists come and show off their work along the ‘Route des Artistes’. Visitors also come to the town to see where Van Gogh lived when he stayed in St Paul de Mausole for many years and created many spectacular pieces of art there, including ‘Starry Night’.

Les Alpilles Natural Park is a wonderful region for walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers and those who love horse-riding with amazing landscapes of olive groves, vineyards and rolling countryside with stunning mountain views. Rock-climbing can be found in Les Alpilles, as well as the neighbouring Luberon region and golf is also incredibly popular with the beautiful Domaine de Manville just a twenty minute drive away.

Be sure to visit other picturesque villages such as Les Baux-de-Provence (12km), one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, Maussane-les-Alpilles (13km) which produces some of France’s finest olive oil and Eygalières (13km), a charming village which has recently become the home of a couple of A-list celebrities.

A little further afield, Gordes (45km) is another place loved by Vincent Van Gogh (and also known to be one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’) and there are many other wonderful villages in the Luberon region which is another enchanting area to explore.

Avignon (20km) is also a great city to visit with its UNESCO world heritage sites (Saint Benezet Bridge and the Pope’s Palace) as well as some great markets and excellent places to dine and drink. The city of Arles (34km) offers art galleries, great restaurants and brilliant museums and could be combined with a visit to the incredible Camargue with its mesmerising landscapes and wild horses.

Kids will love exploring the charming town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, following the Van-Gogh trail and looking out for signs featuring the paintings he created here. Another great trip is to Glanum, an archaeological site just a few minutes drive south of St-Rémy.

Les Alpilles region offers many great activities from wonderful walks, lovely cycling trails, rock climbing and horse-riding. If you love canoeing, a great family trip would be to head to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue where you can hire kayaks along the River Sorgue, perhaps combined with a trip to the famous antique shops and Sunday morning brocante. There is also canoeing and kayaking near Nimes at the amazing Pont du Gard.

Avignon is a nice place for families with the little road train taking you across the city or hop on a boat for a picturesque excursion.
