A fantastic family holiday home, Villa Vermillon offers guests two swimming pools, a gym and cinema room as well as lovely views towards the idyllic artist’s village, St-Paul-de-Vence.
Set on the edge of the village in a private domaine, this 6-bedroom villa offers something for everyone. On the ground floor, the open-plan living and dining space is flooded with light from the sliding doors leading out to the al-fresco dining terrace whilst the contemporary kitchen is a great spot for socialising with a glass of wine as keen chefs create a feast.
The master bedroom upstairs features a striking fireplace and impressive bathroom whilst five further en suite doubles, including a studio-style bedroom downstairs, offer ample space for a family or group of friends.
Kick back in the TV lounge with its home cinema system or sneak out to the upper terrace with a glass of rosé and a picturesque view. Downstairs, on the lower level, discover a tranquil wellness area with an indoor swimming pool, a fun games room and a brilliantly equipped gym with machines and free weights.
There’s plenty to keep you occupied outdoors too with al-fresco lounges where you can relax as the kids play in the garden and a wonderful swimming pool surrounded by a decked terrace of sun-loungers and shades. As evening approaches, take a bottle of champagne up to the raised outdoor sofas for an aperitif looking out over the surrounding landscapes.
The famous hilltop village of St-Paul-de-Vence is just 1.5km away where you will come across charming cafes and restaurants, art galleries, pretty shops and a twice-weekly farmer’s market. Don’t miss the well-known Fondation Maeght with its fine collection of art and sculpture garden. Equally as beguiling and a short drive away, neighbouring Vence is home to a daily flower market and Matisse’s stunning Chapelle du Rosaire.
Head down towards the coast with beaches and watersports around Cagnes-sur-Mer or head a little further to idyllic bays or sandy shores of Cap d’Antibes and Juan-Les-Pins.
Enjoy yet more of the south of France visiting nearby Nice and Cannes or experience some of the region’s incredible natural beauty with walks through the most beautiful of scenery with valleys, rivers and woodland across this captivating area.

About the surrounding area of Villa VermillonOn the edge of the idyllic village of St-Paul-de-Vence in a private domaine, close to both Nice and Antibes, Villa Vermillon is in a great position for getting around the Côte d'Azur and its hinterland.
St-Paul-de-Vence, 1.5km away, is such an enchanting village to explore. It’s been an artistic hub since the early 20th century and the Fondation Maeght (just outside the village) has one of the finest collections of artwork in southern France. The Folon chapel is also incredibly beautiful or just admire little art studios and discover sculptures hidden amongst the narrow, cobbled lanes of the village. It's only 1.5km away although do note there is no pavement so may be best to drive.
The village is home to some characterful cafes and lovely restaurants too, including La Colombe d'Or, once favoured by Picasso and Matisse. The Wednesday and Friday morning Farmer’s market is also a joy to experience.
Just a little further north, Vence is about 6km away and has more charming restaurants, art galleries and a daily flower, fruit and vegetable market each morning. Relax in a café on a shady square, admire the historic houses and visit the remarkable Chapelle du Rosaire, designed by Henri Matisse.
Towards the French Riviera coast, Cagnes-Sur-Mer’s old town is fascinating to potter around, again with many connections to artists over the years. Shopaholics should stop off in the modern shopping complex, Polygone Riviera, just outside the town whilst horse-racing fans must check out what’s on at the Hippodrome. Heading down towards the beach, there’s an attractive promenade, beachside restaurants and a choice of watersports.
The beaches around Villeneuve-Loubet also offer a variety of water-based activities and boat rental at the marina or head towards Antibes, Cap d'Antibes and Juan-Les-Pins for a further choice of beaches and wonderful scenery, around half an hour by car.
City lovers can spend time in Nice (18km), Cannes (26km) or even Monaco (40km) whilst nature enthusiasts can discover some beautiful walking trails close to St-Paul-de-Vence, in the Valmasque forest or further inland around Gourdon with its stunning landscapes and waterfalls.

Best Suited For: All AgesWith the Côte d'Azur beaches so close as well as some wonderful family activities in the countryside, Villa Vermillon is a great location for children of a variety of ages.
Just on the edge of nearby St-Paul-de-Vence, the famous Fondation Maeght will inspire young art lovers and is free for children under the age of ten. Look out for children’s workshops taking place in the holidays and enjoy the maze in the gardens outside.
In the village itself, the most nimble footed can walk along the historic walls, followed by an ice-cream in the beautiful centre. The Museum of Local History and Folon Chapel are also enchanting places to discover.
There is also a wealth of activities in and around Villeneuve-Loubet with tennis, football pitches, a tree-top activity centre and family attractions such as Le Village des Fous and Le Bois des Lutins.
The shores of the Mediterranean are never far away whether you decide to hang out near the attractive promenade at Cagnes-sur-Mer, discover the watersports and marina at Villeneuve-Loubet Plage or head to Antibes for boat trips and even more water-based fun at the beaches of Juan-Les-Pins.
Marineland, Kid’s Islands, Adventure Golf and Antibes Land Park are further possible trips out, all close together around a 20-minute drive away.
